Valko fluff because he's scared of going to the kitty cafe.Tiny suggestive bit, but mostly fluff.
Hc that Valko can't go into the kitty cafe because the kitties hiss at him and he almost pisses himself in fear.
You realise later than you'd have liked to in your relationship, that Valko wasn't trying to get out of your dates to the kitty cafe on purpose.
Every time you bring it up, you watch the way his eyes get slightly alarmed and his cheeks flush unexpectedly. He turns you down yet again and suggests a date at the local arcade instead - but this time you're determined to get to the bottom of it.
Grasping his warmed cheeks between your palms you drag his face down to eye level.
"Valko, what's wrong with us going to the kitty cafe, hm?"
Your tone is gentle, eyes rounded up him as your thumbs caress the smooth skin of his cheeks.
You watch him melt in real time, and bite back a smile at how easily your wolf can be tamed.
"Baby, I-," Valko sheepishly scratches his neck as his golden eyes dart around the room for a moment before meeting your warm gaze once again.
"I know it sounds stupid, but I don't want to scare them - the kitties." He cringes at his own words, groaning at the admission.
You pause your minstrations on his face in confusion and amusement, causing Valko to pout as he catches sight of the grin on your face.
An exhale before he leans into your touch again, gently continuing. "I know how much you love kitty cards, and petting the kitties. If I go, they might just launch an attack on yours truly."
A startled laugh breaks free from you before you realise at Valko's confession, and watching his pout return you cant help but want to reassure your beloved.
"God, you're adorable aren't you honey?," You huff another laugh as he fights a smile at your reaction, his ears twitching instead.
"You can't make fun of me baby, this is my deepest secret." He groans lightheartedly, moving back a few steps as though wounded, before flopping a hand over his forehead and fluttering his eyelids shut.
"What if people find out about my one true vulnerability? Oh, I'll be ruined!" He cracks open an eye only to see you rapidly approaching.
Chuckling at his dramatics you quickly move forward and grab his face again. You smush his cheeks together as your laughs die down, pecking his face all over in affection.
"The big bad wolf is scared of a few kitties, huh?," You fight the urge to tease him further as you watch his pout deepen, his ears almost drooping. Yet his eyes are soft and amused at your words.
"Don't worry, baby, I'll protect you. Besides I like your face far too much to let it get scratched."
You watch his eyes become molten with affection, his lips twitching into a smirk as he huffs a laugh. His ears are suddenly alert and his tone becomes low as he leans in, your heart pounding in anticipation.
"I bet you like my face, sweetheart. What was it you said last night? Ohhhh right, I forgot - you were screa-!"
Pressing your palm quickly to Valko's mouth, you cackle at his attempt to distract you, before you feel the warmth of his tongue attack your hand and pull it back.
"Hey, gross!! Bad dog!" You can't stop giggling until you rub your hand on his shirt and look up.
You're both grinning at each other.
Your arms move to rest on his shoulders, as his gently curve around your waist wordlessly, and his tail answers by wrapping itself around your leg.
That weekend you did in fact go to the kitty cafe, with Valko in tow.
Valko, although initially wary of jostling the cats, was eventually swarmed by curious kitties. The fear in his eyes was replaced by a softness you knew was Valko returning to himself.
As you watched your beloved big bad wolf melt into a pool of affectionate kitties, you knew you would always protect your 6'2, supposedly dangerous damsel in distress.
(Later he would admit that it reminded him of the times he spent amongst the clan pups, surrounded by the puppers who would grow up and run him ragged one day. He was glad you had taken his hand and let him experience this.
You felt your heart swell in affection.)
