It's been forever since the republic fell, and i cant take it anymore. I miss my previous life, wasting hours debating strangers on trivial matters, arguments that would inevitably end in dissatisfaction for both parties, but it was okay, because my defeats would be cushioned under the layers of blankets surrounding my body, accompanied with the sweet aroma of hot nut flavored nutrient drink and the dazzling colors of the advertisements that would sprinkle the journey to work and back and finally, the notion that despite the day being wasted, my online disputes were part of the good fight, a fight i thought was for a meaningful cause. Now everything i stood on is in shambles, my blankets have been burned and my favorite products have been discontinued. My simple routine has been replaced by slavery, although my peers say its hard labor, the task are many and all of them are disgusting. Wash the clothes, clean the dishes, prepare the tables, tend to the crops, or gods forbid, attack the wildlife. The air is heavy and smells of feces, I get sick every 10 planetary cycles, and worst of all, the small creatures, EVERYWHERE. Last night 2 of my peers engaged in copulation, which i understand, they are sexual creatures, they need to do that to reproduce, they are not lesser beings for doing so, but i dont think they thought of me in any capacity, since there is no sound dampening installed in these primitive abodes, so i must be subject to be an audience member to the cacophony of sounds they make when they do their business, of which i dont disapprove because im definetly not a bigot so you do you, thumbs up. Sigh. We lived at the peak of progress and enlightment before we were plunged to the depths of hell. How did we allow this to happen?
