Thinking about how I tend to romanticise my life by seeing it as something really poetic while in reality it’s just a way to justify my suffering. I would really love to write some beautifully heart-shattering journal entries and to share my feelings by making them appear as some kind of art piece but the truth is that I am only able to lay down and let everything overwhelm me.

I read a fan fiction once, about two lovers who lived in a lighthouse and rode a motorcycle by the coast, and it set my expectations for love so high that I will probably never find anyone I genuinely like without comparing them to the characters of that one fic. It was all about the grief, the longing, the genuine care and love that transcends death and I think it ruined romance for me, my standards are now unreachable.

Can I please find my soulmate already? So that I can move with them in a little green cottage in the Scottish countryside and live my fairycore dream life.
