My reason for living (Gallifrey War Room: Loyalties) is finally free from her imprisonment (finally released by big finish), but in order to take her to safety I must not look upon her until she is truly beyond the bonds of her captivity (I need to download the box set to listen to it before the cds arrive) and yet I am so fickle and filled with doubt that I keep glancing upon her progress (I keep checking the download notification bar) and lo! She is snatched away from me once more! (The app keeps immmediately crashing and telling me the download failed). WOE IS MEEEEEEE

Praise be! Praise be! I have vanquished the phone gremlins (did a dramatic clear of cache files in my phone and did the classic switch it off and on again) and may now be reuinted with my beloved at last! (Log off from work as soon as possible so I can lie in a dark room and listen to Gallifrey audios)

Always embarrassing realizing you don't know basic facts about your friends. Like yeah hey, here's this person I love dearly, I've known them for 23 years, we've been through so much together. They're currently working in a lab.... developing... medicine? and also getting a PhD. I think. Don't ask me what subject.

My housemate also works in the same organisation as me, but in a completely different technical area. Because most of her immediate team are not based in the same city as us, she started sitting with my team and as a consequence hears all the goss, all the very niche workplace drama, and probably more detailed than necessary explanations of what incredibly specific technical issue is plaguing us that week. So she really really knows my job. Which makes it extra mortifying when I have to introduce her to people in a work context and say dumb shit like "this is Housemate, no she doesn't work with us. She just sits with us. Her job is....um....doing numbers good?"
