it is crazzy taht ur close friends, partners, etc can just decide to stop interacting w you at any time but the ppl who tortured you when you were a kid will expect u to regularly talk to them until they croak

this is y so many ppl who have been abused as children end up being so clingy/codependent esp in romantic relationships. bc the family is presented as the only future you can have, the only thing you can dream of, etc. in addition to this connecting to ppl can be hard, so many know from experience that theres periods of time when the only people willing to talk to you are your family members (aka ppl who either abused you themselves or didnt stop it). so when you finally find a relationship you instantly think "i have to get very close & very committed to this person, i need to start a family w them otherwise they will leave & ill have to go back to my family who abused me". the worst part is that thought isnt entirely irrational, living is very expensive u do need other people to survive

My opinion is that sex is like... a normal body function and I think it's weird to say somebody is a good or bad person or a loser or a cool guy or whatever based on how much sex they have. whether its a lot of sex or no sex at all. attaching moral judgement to how much sex you have feels like judging someone based on how often they go to the bathroom
