Notes:

• I gave them their suit top but i paired it with a long skirt to mimic the look of more traditional clothes! There was too much white for me to understand what was going on originally plus i wanted to make them more fox like! So i inverted the mask colours and extended the mask so they can have a mischievous grin!! I hid their acutual ears behind their hair so they look less human! I added the pawprint earing the og had in the form of cloak clasps + cufflinks (is that what they're called?? Idk anymore) plus a Cruella De Vil style cloak to look like a bunch of fox tails!! Finally, long black gloves and boots to reference the black markings of a fox!!

• Okay... I actually know almost nothing about Okazaki's backstory so i have nothing to say on that tbh... I'm sad they were actually a horrible person and not a cartoonisly silly antagonist :( Most of the canonical stuff is pretty uncomfy to talk about tbh.... Outside their motive for killing, they're pretty complex and i feel like they did have to go by ch3 narrative wise (though i do like the timeloop aus where they cooperate to get out because for whatever reason they learn their mums behind it, those are fun!)

• Um. I feel like their motive for killing in ch3 was really stupid. Like. Why would you kill your arch nemesis without her knowing it was you you coward! Maybe it would make sense if it was: Want to kill Tsuno + I don't want to freeze/my one friend to freeze + people were sympathetic towards Harada, Yanagi and (to a lesser extent) Sasaki despite them being killers but hated me for my flawless investigation skills.... I should kill someone then right??? Idk maybe that's out of character idk maybe she finds her gun kills Kamimura does her villain speech and when Tsuno's about to absolutely kill her, Okazaki just shoots her in the trial room or something idk

• I think Okazaki would be 19. I think them being one of the youngest makes sense to me. Plus Bisexual (i think they were canonically on the Ace spectrum but i feel like that doesn't really match with their actions....), Intersex and Gender Apathetic They/Them!! I think their the kind of person to allow gendered pronouns for them if it's funny.

Okay, i heard people were upset with rewrites so i hope my stupid rambling about hypotheticals doesn't count as rewritting?? I had my ideas for Isono and Harada even before the whole situation ^^'

Anyways, this is the last design for a while, idk when i'll get back into it but when i do i might just ramble about my design choices as opposed to my thoughts on their role in the story??

Notes:

• Vitiligo to look like paint splatters!! Plus comfy shoes and overalls. He probably has normal suit trousers underneath.

• I'm not well versed enough in the topic to discuss his PTSD, plus that sort of thing is uncomfortable to talk about :( I think him and Hiroaki should just be platonic life partners instead of romantic partners... Forgot to add originally but i think he'd be 21 (i think he's canonically gay right?? If not he is now i guess??)

Literally have nothing else to say about this guy, he's boring to me plus he get's a lot of screen time in canon so....

Notes:

• I gave her a suit. Idk what else to say... Oh! Also, her knee brace! She kind of matches with Chiba now! Hmm i'm not sure what she'd be instead of student council president ? I think she'd be about 20 so too old for that... Head Community/college events organiser ?? Idk. Anyways, she's straight, good for her!

• I think Sasaki was one of the most focused on during canon. I think the only thing i'd change is make her have a few more interactions with Hiroaki + Ojima (maybe her and Hiroaki could sort of bond over being concerned about Ojima's secret?) and also maybe a heart to heart with Chiba so she stops underestimating her! Ooo if she does become an events organiser she should hang out with Tsuno!!

• Maybe if i were to make an au (i'm not going to, i do not have the focus for that oh my god-) i'd make chapter 1 like 9 days long instead of 7 so everyone get's more screentime before their demise... (or just have more scenes per day? Something like that...)

Man. I did not have much to say about Sasaki huh. Oh god it's Ojima next,,, i don't even know what to do with him :'D

Notes:

• Okay so first She/Her for Wada since for me she knows she's a girl, she's just not comfortable being out. She's very poor and if the people hiring her are transphobic she may as well be dead.

• So design wise, i gave her a cheap tracksuit that's very worn down. I gave her Mikimiki badges that she won in a giveaway. Also, blue patches to match her shoes and also because her close friend / eventual caretakers (idk how to would it but y'know-) Tsuno and Yanagi have blue in their designs!! I gave her think droopy eyelashes so she constantly looks sad and pathetic, more noticeable cheek bones because of her eating disorder, pale but reddish looking skin because albino (and she's probably a little sunburned from forgetting her hat + gloves when going food shopping :( ) and i tried to make her lower lip redder as if she's been chewing it a lot. For her hair i made it very pale and then went over it messily with a greyish colour to make it look damaged/dirty and tried to make it look tangled and a bit matted. I figured someone that miserable that does freelance voice acting probably isn't the best at looking after themselves....

• As for her ch4 design, i think she would've been outed by one of the confession style games... I think despite usually doing menswear, Hiroaki would still try his hand at making her a more feminine outfit (since his whole thing is fashion is meant to fit the person and menswear does not fit a feminine girl obviously-). Since she's albino i'd assume that during ch4 's motive she'd express some relief at the dimmer light (she'd still be scared of course-) since the brighter lights would hurt her eyes a little, so she get's a spare pair of Hiroaki's shades (in regards to that, i think him wearing shades because he doesn't like his eye colour is fair, but i think i'll also include oversensitivity to light, and a struggle to make eye contact when not rambling about his interests as reasons too... Anyway, this isn't about him-)!

• I think, if the death order's the same, Wada being out, with a more feminine wardrobe and supportive friends means that she'd feel a bit less alone post game than in canon. Maybe her and Hiroaki could have a lavender (that's the right word for gay people being with someone their not interested in for whatever reason right??) partnership so she can live with him and be financially secure and he doesn't have to have anymore fake gfs?? Idk if that'd work with their personalities ??? Plus Ojima.. If Ojima lives in this au it wouldn't happen obviously. Either way Wada is not dying, Hiroaki (and most likely the others too) is taking her under his wing and she is not dying. She is going to therapy! (omg i keep talking about IF the death order is blah blah blah,,, this is supposed to be a redesign not an alternate death order au omg-)

• Design wise, i figured it would be silly for someone with dangerous work like Mai to have so much skin open to attack plus such long hair would be inconvenient tbh. So, she now has a tank top covered by a cool red leather jacket and a bullet proof vest/chest protector?? Over the top! Well fitting but loose in the legs trousers for manoeuvrability, a lil thing, idk what they're called but like a leg pouch for knife. No laced boots because that's a tripping hazard, they're clicked in place like roller blade fasteners!! (idk if anyone knows what i'm on about here-) Leather gloves!! I feel like she'd wear gloves... Lastly, an ear piece so her colleagues can communicate with her!!

• I don't actually have a whole lot to say about Mai... She got a lot of development and screentime in canon, plus i was never that interested in her character tbh...

• I don't think she and Yanagi should be love interests. Her job with him wanting to protect her constantly would just lead to endless arguments Also i head canon her as aroace because idk... She's always had the 'i have my dogs, i don't need no partner' vibe to me tbh i guess since i put the ages + preferences for the others i'll say she's 20 as well!

• I thought of a couple things to talk about!! Her dogs! I can't remember what or how many dogs she has in canon but i'm going to say she has 4 !! 3 pitbulls and 1 really intimidating Pomeranian that thinks it's also a pitbull (she found it abandoned as a puppy and raised it alongside her pitbulls)

• In canon Chiba wanted to get stronger, and she mentioned in her spotlight that Harada has real muscle so new Mai + tiger trio workout group interactions!! (i mean Hama probably works out to help him 'fight the demons' of something so why not-)

Alright, i think that's it for Mai,,, not as much as the others tbh, sorry ^^'

• Alright so first of all he has his work clothes and his casual clothes lol,,, Anyways design wise, i tried to keep the vibe the same! I figured someone who's that opposed to dirt would wear some sort of mask and gloves but full gloves usually aren't practical for day to day wear so he has fingerless!! I modified his hair slightly and gave him cool eye makeup!! Slasher themed boots + ghost necklace!! Also, someone with that many health conditions and diet restrictions would probably have a supply bag with them,,,!

• I'm not well versed in his health conditions so i can't go into detail about that :(

• I think him and Isono should befriend each other because in canon their main interaction was Kamimura being jealous. I think he'd be cool with her and Hasegawa being friends if he knew neither of them swung that way. (Isono does not even swing!.... That's so lame why did i write that-) (They would of been a trio if Isono lived till chp 3 mark my words!)

• Obviously he's Gay (i think it's funny for him to secretly be a hopeless romantic,,,, it's also sad because he's very closeted :( ) and around 19-21 i'd say,,,, because he's that age i'd assume his job as a crime scene cleaner is a full time apprenticeship rather than a job (so he gets paid less because he's learning! Yippee!) !! He still wants to study forensics and become a detective rather than a cleaner but he needs to finish his current apprenticeship and he doesn't think he has it in him to go to class with other students (ew-) I also think that he'd have arrangements so he's always with at least two other colleagues just in case! He probably has a support person to drive him places too.

Definitely had less to say about Kamimura than the others,,, probably because he has a lot of canon info about him already,,, oh well

Notes:

• So i didn't change a lot of the design because i think the suit fits her well!! She plays a kid in the show so she probably has a school uniform costume AND when not playing the character her parents will want her to look professional so the suit stays!! Also, she has pointed shoulder pads because why not? I removed the bows from her hair and just styled her hair to look like bows instead! Lots of swirls in the hair so it looks styled!!

• I don't actually have a lot to say about Chibi :( I think she's very smart and would make a good assistant leader if A) she was herself and not trying to play a childish role and B) Sasaki actually respected her (seriously, what was up with Sasaki hating Chibi???)

• In canon she hung out with Hiroaki and did his makeup. I think in this au she should also hang out with Wada and Isono!! Maybe the 3 of them could have a sleep over then later Hiroaki and Tsuno join :D!!

• Her smoking habit and forced malnutrition weren't really addressed in canon but i think since it connects to both Hiroaki and Wada it could help build their friendship earlier?? Idk...

• Because of her makeup skills i think she'd be a pretty good artist too!! (Watch me go from 'no thoughts about Chiba' to 'Chiba is friends with everyone: Here's why!' lmao) I think her wanting to write a personal yet vague book could inspired Ojima a little! It's not the same trauma but i think both would feel like they don't belong in their own body for separate reasons....

• Anyways, this is much less coherent than the last two i think? I think Chiba would have just turned 20 by the time of the killing game! I also think she would be demiromantic (preference for women) and asexual! it would be interesting if she was apathetic towards gender! She goes along with she/her because it's convenient but isn't opposed to other pronouns!

Notes:

• okay so design! First, i tried to make him chubby but then gave him layered baggy clothes + bag so you can't even tell 😭 next, i made his yellows more greenish, added green and made his eyes greeny/brown (is that called hazel??? Idk eye colours-). Next, if you're carrying a tiger around why would you wear short sleeves???? Now he has a thick green fleece (hopefully scratches/bites do a lil less damage!) he probably has weights in his pockets to help with his balance issues!! Also, matching braid with Yukino (she has a green bow!) because i love them :D!! The red bow matches with Sawa's harness as well!! Also i gave him sideburns because it felt right and also now he matches with Sawa's cheek fluff lol.

• He still has the backpack for Sawa but also a pink dog lead + harness so she can walk around without getting lost. (also can we acknowledge Sawa? That's the best tiger i've ever drawn! .... I don't draw tigers a lot but still!!)

• I think Harada should befriend Hasegawa. Neurodivergent animal loving friends (the horrors of the deep are still animals!) I'm obsessed with the idea of Kamimura trying to get everyone to avoid leaving Hasegawa and Harada in the same room because instead of doing what you were supposed to, you will loose at least 3 hours to horrifying animal knowledge you wish you could unlearn.

• Acknowledging the girlfriends: Okay, so i explained my theory in the comments of Bluethetalkingcattimes2's (not tagging because i don't like bothering people-) post so i'll just copy that here: okay so i'm pretty sure it was confirmed outside the series that all 7 of Harada's breakups were amicable and non of his exs had a bad thing to say about him. But that seems weirdly mature for teens tbh so i was thinking and my theory is this: Demiromantic Harada. Maybe the 7 other girls are closeted queer and after pressure from friends /family to get a bf they just picked the guy who seemed least interested so they can just break up a month later like 'oh no it didn't work! Omg so sad! Anyway-' and Harada might of just agreed because he says that people at school still didn't like him much. Maybe joining his gfs social circles temporarily gave him better social standing or something so he was picked on less?? Idk... Then with Yukino he just genuinely clicked and experienced actual romantic feelings for the first time yay! (maybe as a trans girl she's more familiar with queer identities and could help him figure stuff out :D)

• I don't think his half deafness + depression are ever really acknowledged much in canon? I mean he mentions his deafness in the 2 truths and a lie game, but it doesn't go into his balance issues and auditory processing struggles... I'm not sure how i'd include that? Maybe he struggles during the first trial and someone gets snappy at him? Like when people were mad at Wada and Kamimura ?? I get why the depression wasn't relevant, he was probably trying to power through it for the sake of Sawa and Chiba (especially Sawa since no one else is qualified to take care of her) + the first 2 motives were no sleep + morning games and adrenaline,,, so even if he wanted to just curl up and do nothing all day he couldn't... Maybe they could have his conditions as the 2nd secret?? I feel like revealing that the guy responsible for an actual tiger is depressed and has auditory processing issues could make some people (Hiroaki Nakamigawa) throw a hissy fit about how the tiger is extra dangerous now or something for some fun extra conflict! Plus Hama and/or Chiba could talk with Harada about it and he could tell them about Yukino and how she helps out sometimes (so we stilll learn about her!) , maybe he'd start teaching them how to care for tigers?? (this paragraph was added way later than the others an is extra un-proof read and written spontaneously at like 5am lmao, i'm so sorry for any mistakes)

• 19 animals is a lot for someone who's working at a zoo.... Also, that's a lot of food/supplies/vet bills..... Wealthy Harada??? Okay but in all seriousness his parents are probably pretty well off financially AND big animal lovers!! They probably foster a lot puppies/kittens/injured animals/rescues!! They probably have a decent amount of land for the larger animals to exercise on !! I'd reckon only 5 of the 19 permanent residents are exclusively Harada's and they're all different types of reptile because they're his favourites (2 Bearded Dragons, 1 Ball Python, 1 California King Snake and 1 Milk Snake)!! (the others are 4 dogs (rescue mongrels), 5 Outdoor/Barn cats, 2 Indoor cats, 2 Rabbits and 1 flightless Barn Owl!)

• Anyways,, i said Isono's age so i'll say Harada's!! He's one of the oldest of the pink students i think??? So he's probably like 22?? Something like that?? Idk anyways since in my redesigns the characters are older Harada and Yukino aren't officially engaged but they've been thinking about it ! (i like to think Harada accidentally blurted out that he wanted to marry her in front of both their families and no one is letting him live it down lmao-) the only thing stopping them is mountains of college work!! (i think it would be sweet if Yukino was interested in veterinary studies !! Idk if she was confirmed to have any interests other then crepes and DnD lol)

• okay so first of all, 2 versions!! The first is her virtual avatar and the second is what she actually looks like!! Her og outfit looked cold and impractical so! Hoodie, thick tights and cozy slippers so she's comfy when streaming!! Her avatar is based on my vague knowledge of v-tubers and genshin impact designs (borderline non existant,,,, 😭)!!

• So i'm deciding that as well as being aroace, she's also a trans girl!! I'm thinking that her agoraphobia was caused due to dysphoria and some bullying making her too uncomfortable going to school. Then extended breaks from school + being herself whilst streaming spiralled into a full on fear of leaving her comfort bubble. I think she enjoys streaming not just because she loves games and singing but also because she can use her feminine voice and feminine avatar and be gendered correctly.

• I think her and Wada would bond over being trans girls that love hoodies and video games!! I think, since i'm going to headcanon Wada as demi, Wada would also relate to the aroace experience (idk how to word that lmaoo) to some extent!!

• Her breaking her sister's leg was probably due to pushing her down the stairs.... I think her dad would support her streaming goals but her mum and sister would keep being pushy about going back to 'proper' school (instead of online studies). One day her sister got too pushy about it and she snapped. She still feels guilty.

• The previous incident would have happened when she was about 16, for a while things were awkward with her sister. Now she's around 20 and finished with school (despite her families complaint she got decently good marks !!) and streaming full time due to her success! Her mother and sister both admitted they were too pushy and apologised by working together to make her the hoody she wears. She's grateful and things are definitely better between them,,, but,, Isono is a little put off by the fact that they waited until she was successful to fully apologise. Aren't parents supposed to believe in their kids dreams???
