we've got a new kind of scam!

Here's how you can tell that it is indeed a scam:

A brand new account with nothing on it. No reblogs, no posts OR a one or two of them made in the last couple of days.

Mistakes such as punctuation, easy grammar, etc.

SCARING YOU!

Here's notes about the e-mail:

On the e-mail, the account the fake email came to is addressed to a person with a different handle than the one who sent me the message.

A support member/agent isn't someone you need to add per Discord. They reach out first and ALWAYS per e-mail. If someone says that they are a support member, but contact you per DMs, Discord, etc. THIS IS A SCAMMER.

That's in general NOT what e-mails from Tumblr/Tumblr Support look like. In fact YOU DON'T EVEN GET AN E-MAIL ABOUT REPORTING/BLOCKING SOMEONE ON TUMBLR. They do not state the US Code, they do not ask you to contact the person you reported (because that's very silly),

Usually Scammers like that want you to be scared. Account suspension, prison time, IP address ban, etc. Contact real support in case it bothers you, but otherwise this is very unlikely to happen.

Not quite sure what they do but from what ive seen im pretty sure they hack into accounts and im also pretty sure they ask for money

Either way just wanted to make a post saying block and report any accounts leaving comments like this and dont trust it basically lol, theyve got nothing good for you and everything and anything they say is bullshit

In my AP Art class, there was a girl who was just starting to experiment with mixed media. At this point she was still playing around, trying to decide what direction she wanted to go with her portfolio. So one critique day, she brought in an abstract canvas with some rhinestone highlights and painted and real peacock feathers. She loved sparkles and peacock feathers so she thought she’d try introducing them a *little*. And after everyone had given some input, the teacher gave her his advice, VERY roughly paraphrased here:

“So here’s the thing… I do not like this style. These are just elements that do not speak to me personally, but I see that you like them, and you’re doing interesting things with them.

“My biggest critique is, I only merely *dislike* this piece. I want you to make me HATE it. Go crazy with the things that you like. Don’t hold back trying to make it palatable to people like me. Because I am NEVER going to like it. And if the audience does not like it, it should drive them crazy seeing how much YOU love it.”

Her portfolio was chock full of neon colors and glitter and rhinestones and splashes of peacock feathers and it was a delight. Our teacher despised every piece lol, but she got great marks and I think even won some awards. And more importantly, she was happy and proud of the results. Because she didn’t limit herself by trying to appeal to people who were never going to enjoy what she enjoyed.
