I finally got out of the hidden city, what did you boys do this time?

Old? Goat? Hidden city? Yokai? Fancy looking? Baron Draxum?

Took me a minute to finish this one... What can I say, I draw slow and life is busy. Ah well, here's turtle :) Look who remembered belts go over shells this time, hell yea I do learn from my mistakes 😎 The knee/elbow pads though, still enemy number 1. How the hell do those things work in space. I know the colors in the show are kinda muted and while I do like sticking to the source material, I like bright colors more lol. Donnie is now even more toxic green because I said so >:)

Since I have the luxury of NOT making this for an animated show, I could go a lil more crazy on the details. For all the patterns I took inspiration from Japanese patterns and depictions of like lightning and stuff. In the show there's sometimes some blobs on the handle, so I turned those into a sort of vague cloud-like pattern. The lightning bolts are all leading to the blade because that's where the ✨magic✨ happens. Putting too much thought in these types of details brings me joy :)

It's the time of the year for me to draw a fish, well half fish. It's always such a fun tradition honestly. Idk how obvious it is that I was somewhat inspired by Chappell Roan this year, mostly with the colors. And the hair lol (which took forever to figure out, I redid it like 4 times :')

Starting the 2012 boys out with Raph! Because he's my favourite and I can do what I want. In general figuring out how to turn these 3D turtles 2D was a bit of a challenge. Their shapes are just so weird, like what headshape even is that? I still don't fully understand the knee and elbow pads, but I got 3 more turtles to figure it out. Hopefully... As usual I didn't want to change the design too much, but I couldn't help myself from adding some scratches and stuff.

Such a fun theme for the last week, for cosmic I obviously had to do a cute little alien girlie. I think this drawing has the most mushroom inspirations in one drawing out of all of the drawings this month. My favourite mushrooms tend to be the ones that look most out of this world so that is probably why. First of all are the pagoda mushroom antennae, all the netting are based on a few stinkhorns, the colours loosely come from the spotted cort and in general she's all glowy as a nod to bioluminscent mushrooms. And that is the last for Funguary, not just for this year but forever :( I'm gonna be honest, I'm gonna miss it. I've completed every Funguary ever since the very first one and it started an intense obsession with mushrooms ever since. I even did my art school graduation project on mushrooms because of it! It's been a lot of fun not just to learn about all the funky fungi in the world, but also to see my art grow and change over the years. Okay, sappy stuff over, here's a version the drawing without the screentone-filter and the sketch.

So I know this is supposed to be a mushroom drawing, but I just started rendering the dress and I would not stop rendering the dress. It was just turning out really good and I was having a lot of fun doing it so... Also why did I decide to make it more difficult for myself by drawing an older lady with like 0 previous experience? No idea. Do I still like it, yes. It's probably not perfect but that's okay The general idea behind this weeks drawing was basically to do the opposite of week 1, because the themes are kinda opposite. So this time I went with very warm colors and lighting, smoother/less textured rendering and a very different looking character. The mushrooms I went with are lionsmane in the sort of cape-thing, lichen for the hair and crown and just some of ye ol' reliable generic-shelf fungi. The plan was to make them look more like splitgill mushrooms, but I didn't really end up rendering them with enough detail to make that clear lol.
