ALL DONE! It was a fun challenge to arrange so many characters cohesively, both in terms of compositional placement and in terms of color. One of my first thoughts was to simplify matters by giving everyone black hair like in the manga, but I figured expectations would be high for purple(-ish) hair on Shampoo and brown hair on Ukyo, so I made it work. Kodachi and Shampoo's outfits were originally going to use the 90s anime color scheme, but the colors from the reboot anime wound up making more sense. I'm glad I used them, the combination of all 3 influences (manga + both animes) feels like a real celebration of all things Ranma :)

I hope you guys know there’s this chicken place I go to that has you give your phone number when you order, and then they text your order confirmation. You can also text them back with a song request for them to play in the shop. The first time I found this out I requested Käärijä cha cha cha. And now whenever I go there and order they queue up Käärijä cha cha cha, unprompted. “Here’s your order, by the way, we’re gonna play Cha Cha Cha.” For context I do not live in Finland or even in Europe

I love Finland so much. Ever since Lordi they haven't even tried to do anything normal. They've sent a metal song to Eurovision 4 times (2006, 2008, 2015, 2021) which as far as I'm concerned is the most of any country ever. 7 times if you count 2007, 2014 and 2022. And then you've got Käärjä and windows95man which aren't metal but the most unhinged acts I've ever seen. Finland is fucking great man
