❝ ———— i put enough, ❞ does he have a higher spice tolerance than the average person has? yes. should that bar him from being placed on cooking duty primarily alone? arguably : yes, for all that it patently doesn’t. the food is perfectly edible in his opinion, and actually quite delicious / and her reaction does little to move him from his opinion as he stares at her, eyebrow raised and head tilted just so.

and no, he wasn’t following a recipe. he never does. ❝ it’s bland otherwise. ❞

❝ BLAND ??? I WISH it were more so ! ❞

SHE WAS SLIGHTLY WORRIED ABOUT HIS GENERAL HEALTH if he ate food this spicy on a general basis , yet his eating habits wouldn’t be the first thing she’d have to fret over Felix for . Nay , she was committed to training , but he . . . well , he was quite the demon when it came to the sword , and she feared he never took proper rest or tried to stay his sword arm at least for a day . She admired his dedication , both in training and in other areas of his life , yet even with all that effort , sometimes the results were . . . less desirable as planned , such as with this meal he’d made . If anyone else in the army ate it , she’d fear there wouldn’t be an army at all .

      WELL  THIS  SITUATION  IS  AWKWARD .  well  perhaps  that  might  be  a  vast  understatement .  this  situation  is  not  only  awkward  but  incredibly  stressful  on  ashe’s  part .  though  frankly  it’s  his  own  fault .  he  doesn’t  exactly  speak  about  his  own  dietary  choices  often  &  chooses  to  simply  make  his  own  food  to  avoid  situations  like  these .  oh  what  a  sorry  day  this  is  indeed .

      DESPITE  NOT  HAVING  EATEN  MEAT  IN  A  LONG  TIME ,  ashe  knows  immediately  what  he’s  biting  into  when  the  venison  meat  enters  his  mouth .  upon  this  realization  he  almost  chokes ,  coughing  frantically  as  he  forces  himself  to  swallow  it .  despite  his  own  discomfort  in  eating  meat  he  doesn’t  wish  to  hurt  leonie’s  feelings  when  she’d  taken  the  time  to  make  him  this  dish .  however  he’s  not  a  very  good  liar  so  when  he  finally  gets  over  his  initial  shock ,  the  smile  he  casts  her  is  resembles  more  of  a  grimace .  ❛    it’s  delicious !  the  use  of  spices  in  it  are  wonderful !   ❜  well  at  least  that  last  part  wasn’t  a  lie .

❝ OH MY GOD . . . You don’t eat meat , do you . . . ? ❞

SHE COULD RECOGNISE IT THE MOMENT HE TOOK A BITE -- he wasn’t lying about her spice use , something she was quite proud of personally , but the sort of twisted smile he gave her after , coupled with choking so bad she near thought she’d have to Heimlich him , made it obvious that meat certainly wasn’t his cup of tea . . . How could she be so oblivious !? Regarded , she was a pretty big meat eater , and the majority of the people she cooked for were also meat eaters too , so while she had several delicious fish dishes in her arsenal of cooking , she hadn’t had to employ them recently . Well , that was about to change -- Ashe deserved the best fish he’d ever tasted , and that meant . . . fishing trip !

     it’s a terribly rude awakening. linhardt clutches his head while she shakes him - mercilessly! - back and forth. and, upon hearing the words hardcore and training, he can’t help but groan. “leonie.” his voice is heavy with sleep. “…no.” a simple reply to an absurd demand. “i told you. i don’t want to train. and certainly not in some hardcore manner. absolutely not.”

     linhardt closes his eyes once more. “i’m going back to sleep. don’t wake me up this time, okay?” 

❝ OH NO YOU DON’T ! This is the training area , not the nap room . If you’re gonna be here distracting me , then I’m gonna make you train ! ❞
