This is Kai in his ABSOLUTE favorite place - the water π€ (Casually and and nonchalantly looking like a three course dinner π©)
Kai finds the water to be a place of peace - a place where he can clear his head - so youβll very often find him gravitating toward bodies of water! Hence why I call him my fish boy lol because itβs sometimes comical how quickly heβll drop everything heβd doing to swim π He often used to go for swims while his mom, Linh, was working since he was home alone anyway, and it became a source of comfort and joy for him. His dad supposedly enjoyed swimming too, but Kaiβs interest in it was all his own. π§‘
Dokki perfectly captured his more nonchalant expression (he knows heβs good looking, he just donβt care HAHA), his tattoo, his personality - his whole energy!! So I am so in love with this art that captures my boy π₯Ήβ€οΈπ I hope you guys enjoy it just as much as I do!! π
I had the honour of having dear Elisa as my first commission client π₯°π I was honestly nervous at first about doing art commissions bc I was afraid that I wouldn't live up to my clients' expectations, but having Elisa as my first client made me feel at ease hehehe ππ I had so much fun drawing her darling Kai and the tattoo was definitely a welcomed challenge! An update on life...
Hello, everyone β£οΈIt's been a while since I was last active in this community, especially after I had expanded my focus on non-HL IPs as well. I've also been following the World Cup for an entire month and had such a blast holding watch parties with friends.
It was an incredible feeling getting people who don't normally watch football to watch it with me too, and watching the tourney just makes me want to rot about my quidditch HL babies (especially Harvey hahaha that boy loooooooves football just as much as he loves quidditch). I was Team England all the way and like every England fan was gutted by the performance during the Semis, but hey, best finish ever since 1966 lolol ππ
I've also recently bought a new iPad bc the current one I have is getting old and I was due for an upgrade anyway, but it's ridiculous that my current apple pencil's not compatible with my new iPad despite both iPads being of the same model (iPad Pro 11-inch) just bc the new iPad has a different chip, but I've done my crying over spilled milk so now I'll look forward and work hard drawing commissions π
Been experimenting with a new drawing program (CSP) as well after being strongly encouraged by friends (I join the gang now. Kinda. Hahahahaha) and I have to say that I'm actually enjoying myself so far π₯°π₯° (WIPs from CSP below!), although it's a steep learning curve coming from Procreate. I had my grievances at first bc of it but now that I've been using it for a bit, it's not too bad!
At the end of the day, however, I still find myself missing the close-knitted interactions and camaraderie we have over here on Tumblr in the HL side of things. Every interaction feels meaningful and I've met many wonderful people here. I don't know how the HL community here on Tumblr has been, but I hope to hear that everyone has been doing well β£οΈβ£οΈI'd love to hear some life updates from you guys as well and would be more than happy to learn what you guys have been up to!! π₯°π₯°

First of all, I just want to say that you're so sweet to remember a time when I used to give Gwynevere red hair and blue eyes. I didn't really think anyone would remember it since it has been so long (and the lore around it was a little convoluted), but knowing someone still remember it makes me feel very seen and I appreciate you, Anon π₯°π
I've contemplated answering this ask bc red hair-blue eye Gwyn is something I try to pretend never happened, as I had been overly excited and giddy when creating my very first HL mc to join the fandom that I overthought her lore, and the lore surrounding her hair and eye became overly convoluted ππ
I've since decided to scrap this part of her lore to keep things straightforward, but you remembering this era of Gwyn still makes me happy regardless, so I drew her again with red hair and blue eyes to show my appreciation, Anon β£οΈππ₯°

I didn't mean to open commissions this early but Apple was being stupid so I have to spend money I shouldn't have to spend ππ I bought a brand new ipad that was the exact same model as my old one since my old one's starting to fail but apparently my current Apple pencil is NOT compatible with my new iPad just bc it's a different generation πͺπͺ that's so stupid!!
