hihi !! are you asking specifically about editing tips or editblr in general? i'll give some basic stuff for editing, but tell me if you want more.

first of all, you can look around the editblr tag for inspiration! try to analyze how editors place pngs, what effects they use, and just how they edit in general. i only started back in the summer, but it’s one of the main ways i’ve improved.

secondly, never be afraid to experiment! throw color layers!! random pngs!! sparkles!!! effects!!!!! mess with all the filters available!! throw it together and do whatever you want!!! its fine if it doesnt look that good at first, but with enough time and practice, you'll slowly begin to get an eye for what looks the best!

some more specific things are that when you’re editing, remember to always have a theme. it helps you to choose the colors and also what pngs you wanna download. do you wanna do something cute? elegant? a webcore theme? how about something based on newspapers? i always try my best to figure that out first! usually, i base the theme off the character, but you can also do something else! don’t let the theme restrict you from anything by the way, it’s just a good way to start.

additionally, while i’ve never made any buttons nor stamps, at least for most things i make, there’s usually 1-2 “main” transparents of the character/thing. I often build around those transparents when editing, especially when i’m making graphics.

lastly, take your time! don’t rush nor force yourself when editing!!! your skills won’t improve overnight, and it’s the quickest way to get a burn out!! sometimes, i would finish something the night before and look at it again with a fresh pair of eyes in the morning, it helps me evaluate what to change or not change better!!

there’s actually a few tutorials out on tumblr that can help. i've only used one when i was starting out and kinda just winged it from there but if you search up stuff like "edit tutorial" "graphic tutorial" in the tumblr search bar you'll def get a few things.

please tell me if you want me to go into detail or explain more! i only use ibis paint so i can’t say for any other programs, but i can give you some ibis specific tips too ^v^

Nothing in specific! I just don't really know how to edit with the characters because my colorings doesn't match with them (same goes for crk, alnst & danganronpa)
