โThis is the record that most closely mimics the sound in our heads. We wanted it to be lean. Both in the individual songs โ less reverb, more punchy โ but also as an album, so there wasnโt any negative space. We wanted to put the absolute best on there and the 10 that made it are the ones that all of us were unanimous in liking. We wanted the title track to feel like the moment when an animal goes in for the kill โ thereโs a savagery to it. A lot of bands get to the fourth album and feel they need to โtake a breakโ Recharge. Go off and do solo stuff. We were completely the opposite.โ
