Oh my days anon bless you I am SO sorry, all my things are always a convoluted mess of stuff - no masterlist as of yet, but let me make one here real quick to explain to you where you can find everything (now placed below the cut)

I was wondering, if spydoc were humans in this universe, what sort of Petrova powers do you think they might get? Time manipulation is the obvious one, but I bet you've got some idea that's less on the nose but just as thematically appropriate

(I'm also quite fond of the idea of Graham getting Petrova powers and running a support group like the companion support group he and Dan make.)

And then I cackled at this question because YES OH MY DAYS LET'S GO okay so my first instinct for the Doctor was actually not chronokinesis, but teleportation - because the key role the Doctor plays in the entire plot of Doctor Who is taking her companions to new and exciting places. She's the tour guide of the universe! Or, in the case of a human au, just of Earth haha. And I do really really like that for Thirteen, actually, because it nicely encapsulates another thing about her character: the fact that she runs away. She's constantly keeping everyone at arm's length, disappearing off on her own and then coming back later than she should. In a world where she DOESN'T have a time machine, teleportation would allow her to keep those two really important aspects of her character. HOWEVER. The only problem with this? Teleportation is...not actually a 'kinetic' ability. A kinesis is a manipulation based power. So gyrokinesis = manipulation of gravity, haemokinesis = manipulation of blood, picnokinesis = manipulation of density (see: can walk through walls, can make bullets bounce off them etc), clauditiskinesis = manipulation of locks...I could go on and flex my nerdery, but the point is that teleportation isn't really manipulation, I don't think?? Unless it's like...manipulation of space? I guess it depends on how it works, exactly? Like would she be bending the fabric of space around herself in order to get where she wants to be? Maybe! In that case it would be a kinesis, idk what it would be called though. It would be the same level of spacetime bending as Grace's gravity powers though (although actually, Grace's are worse in that regard. Read up on black holes and you'll understand why Grace is so concerned lol)

Regarding the Master - this is so predictable of me, but I haven't spent the last six years using forest fire imagery for him in almost every single fic to not give him pyrokinesis lmao. He has to. The Master embodies destruction as solution and revels in being a destructive force (because it's all he believes he can be, and he's clinging to the identity of the villain because the Doctor's secret past has thrown everything else about him into question). If I wanted to go harder with it, I could give him nitrokinesis (explosion manipulation, IGNORE WHAT THE SUPERPOWER WIKIA TELLS YOU, it is not self-detonation, that is stupid and makes no sense. Self-detonation is not a manipulation based power!! It just isn't!! Follow the taxonomy correctly geez -)...and actually part of me really likes that because it's a lot less common than pyrokinesis and I have a MASSIVE soft spot for it because I gave it to one of my ocs, and it's a particularly difficult power to use for good (although it CAN be, I have strong feelings about this).

And then sksksksk GRAHAM I'm crying, but actually I wouldn't give Graham any Petrova powers because he's already psychic. I have very strong opinions about this. There is more evidence for him being psychic in canon compared to literally ANY other companion in thirteen's era with the SOLE exception of Claire Brown. My man is seeing ghosts on the reg. But I think this makes him perfect for a petrova power therapy group lol because he gets it without actually getting it, if that makes sense.
