Street art in Palermo, Buenos Aires. Took this 5 minutes before jumping in a taxi to the airport. Such. A. Great. City. Would go back in a heartbeat. Porterios - people who live in Buenos Aires - are famously unhappy. They call it ‘Bronca’ over there. A slang word for being pissed off. Why? Well - amongst other things - the 2-hour queues, the incredibly bad traffic on the world’s widest road (9 lanes) and the dangerous lifts in old buildings across the capital. All fair enough but that ignores all the good stuff. The steak, the tango, the football, the Malbec and the fact you can get a taxi across town for 4 quid. Oh and the coffee. Beautiful, unctuous coffee. If you ever get the chance, go. And in the meantime read ‘Bad Times in Buenos Aires’ by Miranda France. Helluva book. 🇦🇷 (at Palermo, Buenos Aires)
