Being Back {August & Phoebe}
August didnât know whether being back in Atlanta was good or bad. The streets seemed less welcoming to him or maybe that was his own mind tossing thoughts around. Getting away for two weeks helped ease the burden of his losses, but not enough to feel completely better. It was merely a distraction from facing what he was forcing deeper within. He roamed the streets with hands tucked in his pockets and his eyes not daring to meet anyone elsesâ. Was he in the mood for conversation? Not particularly, but he had a feeling he wouldnât be able to avoid it. When people disappeared in Atlanta, there was a tendency to notice, especially those of the mythical kind.
Stepping out of Arden's Garden with her juice in hand, Phoebe started to walk around. She had no real desination in mind, just a random walk before getting back home. That was when she sensed the familiar Munnin, it had been weeks since she'd seen him. She couldn't really blame him for taking the high road and leaving when he did. "Why the hell did you come back?" Phoebe asked, stopping in front of him, not beating around the bush.
