“That’s right. Each Grade has its own ability; Grade 2s like Bedivere can protect the Vanguard through a mechanic call Intercept”. His fingertip traced back towards the ‘2′ in the corner, drawing attention to the iconed hexagon beneath. “If an opponent attacked Alfred, Bedivere could put himself between the two of them, adding his defensive power to Alfred’s attack. And if the two combined are stronger than the opponent’s offensive power, they can nullify the attack altogether. It’s a touching sign of unity between units that I’ve always appreciated”.

Alm had to wonder… How many Valentians were here, if there were any at all? What, did this city just take whomever they wanted to without reason or care? Did the people in charge NOT think that maybe some of these people had countries to reconstruct? The injustice, the fact that nobody got told ( or at least, he didn’t ) about their new living situation - it put Alm on edge. How were these people so thoughtless? Surely those chosen to live here had better things to do than sit around in some weird city. The prince sighed, running a hand through his hair with a hand. The weirdest things always happened to him, his royalty not excluded.

He really needed a break. 

❝Oh hey, are you new here too? Are you from Valentia? Y’know, the countries of Zofia and Rigel that are to be merged? I’m the prince of Rigel, and well, I’m looking for my friends. ‘Cause, I’m lonely.❞

A young lad with red ( he assumes ) hair brings Alm out of his musings. Roy was probably not from Valentia, but hey, a prince could dream.  ❝Name’s Albein Alm Rudolf, the second. You can call me Alm, if you want.❞

 He’s really humble for a prince. Hopefully this can help him make new friends if he can’t find the members of the Deliverance, and members of Celica’s party.

The red haired was walking near by to get a little more filmier with this new place. In contrast to Elibe this world is much larger and wider. His attention got caught by the sudden voice which dressed him.

Upon the yellow digits, Aichi’s fingertip traced. “For example, this Alfred Exiv has 11000. But if you look at the side, there’s no number vertically listed, like this one on Bedivere”. Along the edge of Bedivere’s card, the design surrounding the defensive “5000″ became the focal point; a feature absent from the king’s artwork. “That’s because of the cards’ Grades. In the corner, do you see? Bedivere is a Grade 2 and Alfred is a Grade 3 — that usually gives you an indication of what sort of strength they might possess. In this case, the gap isn’t that big, it’s just 1000”.

His head lowered itself formally, the hair typically curtaining his face dangled in the way. “There’s no need to worry, sir; the feeling is mutual. I’m Aichi Sendou, feel free to call me whatever you’d like". The two drew near a low brick wall upon which they could perch themselves, Aichi laying down the deck holder, with the stack of cards beside it pinched carefully between his fingers so no unexpected gust could tear them away. The top — Bedivere — stripped away, poised between a finger and the thumb of his other hand.

“You said you weren’t able to get a good look at the cards before, so here is how they appear. This number here—” The tip of his thumb wiggled beneath the yellow 10000. “—indicates the power of a unit. The other numbers have their meanings, but we’ll take things one at a time — I wouldn’t want to overload you with “.

From the man’s garb, there were no prizes for guessing what an alien concept such a game might be to him, but his enthusiasm spoke aloud like a particular friend’s. The likeness warmed his heart. “Yes. It might take some getting used to but it isn’t a complicated game, once you get the hang of it, things fall into place quite quickly”. A quick scan of their surroundings offered numerous seating alternatives. “Why don’t we find somewhere so I can show you properly? If you need anything clarified, don’t hesitate to say so”.

“—Cardfight? Please wait a moment…” A hand dug into the jacket pocket, removing the box housing his Royal Paladin card. With a turn of his wrist, the deck slid gently into the palm of his hand waiting at the mouth of the holder, keeping the cards from spilling out chaotically. “You might have passed by my housemates playing; if that’s the case, it cuts out a lot of leg work trying to track down a player”.

”A card game?” The games of Spirale and beyond were fascinating; if it was one of these games which the man referred, Aichi was equally eager to learn about it. When his playing Vanguard was limited to his housemates, it had been marginally saddening that the trio were effectively brought to a standstill, but that hadn’t stopped them from playing to keep themselves from growing rusty. "What did the cards look like? Or were you able to get the name? They seem to be quite niche here, but there were a few games that grew to be popular in my hometown”.
