Inside the Mind of A Killer

Last night (between 11:30 PM to 12MN) something creepy happened to me that totally freaked me out. So to divert my attention and to completely forget about it, I plugged in my earphones,  listened to Chicosci's new album, This Is Not A Chicosci Record, in full volume and wrote a short but not-a-pro review. And voila, I had a good sleep.

Err..I'm not really good with words so yeah...ipagpatawad.

Why the title This Is Not A Chicosci Record, you may ask.

Actually, I had the same question few weeks back and honestly thought t'was sort of a joke...but no..

Question raised will be answered once you listen to the whole album. (Well, if and only if you're already familiar with their music)

Saktong-sakto yung title sa album because it's not really your usual Chicosci sound na heavy. You'll hear different elements in each song. Anong elements ang tinutukoy ko? I can't really explain so better yet buy the album and hear for yourself. Don't worry, I assure you all the songs are worth the listen and mag-e-enjoy kayo. Walang halong joke time at bola. Maganda lahat. Walang tapon. :)

I love all the 14 songs but the tracks that really caught my eyes ears are Raspberry: Girl, sobrang iba ang tunog niya...a bit electropop-ish (lol, dunno if such word exists but that's how I describe it) which is giving me good vibes; Where The Light Shines Brightest (I love the screams); and Crocodile Scars, favorite part is "We'll scream for you again and again, because of you this all makes sense....this makes so much sense-----ah!"

And of course, I won't forget Stealing Kisses, which is the right choice to be the first single (I believe so) because of its catchy tune and "na..na..na..na..na.." lyrics.

Then Shquickx (Drive On) is my personal pick as my driving song (porke may word na 'drive', driving song agad? Hahaha) But kidding aside, na-i-imagine ko kasi ang sarili ko driving or playing Need For Speed while listening to it, especially the chorus part. Tipong Rise Against ang dating saken.

Anyway, I didn't include review on technical stuff (like guitar riffs, bass lines..etc) since wala akong masyadong alam doon at hindi naman ako professional. :)

Smoker: Are you joking with me!?

Hina: Smoker, just accept the reward instead of the pirates. Why go against the government?

Smoker: Who said we beat Crocodile? Because we couldn't, that's why my subordinate is crying now. I've had enough, just tell those high ranking bastards...

Guy: Yes?
