Good news, everyone!

First let me start by saying how much I appreciate everyone's support of EOI. Things have been getting a little crazy, and I haven't been able to get much done not only because of work, but also because of something that has been under wraps for a while now. I'll cut to the chase--

I had to wrap up EOI because this series has been formally acquired by Time Warner, INC. as part of their new Warner Bros. Comics Inc. brand of unconventional or otherwise experimental comics!

This is fantastic news because it means that EOI will now have the financial backing needed to make large scale improvements, faster updates, and the rights to any movies were also part of the deal. Unfortunately, what this means is that t here will be no more updates posted here on the site. Hence the wrap-up.

Hello, I've been mulling over the idea of hosting a panel on Multi-Media (and/or) Interactive Comics for some time now. There has been a decent surge in interest in this medium over these last few years, and new comics are popping up all over the place.

I'd like to discuss topics like:

what makes a comic an MMIC?

multi-meida centric

interactive centric

the colorful spectrum developting between

examples of what can be considered MMICs

various works by Andrew Hussie (Homestuck et al)

Ruby Quest / NanQuest

Prequel

End of Infinity

Ava's Demon

etc.

History of Tgchan and forum adventures

EG: Joandventure, etc.

The evolution of non-standard format webcomics

EG: thunderpaw, HERO, etc.

Non-comic content relevant to MMICer's interests

MUDs

RPs

"choose your story" books

general cooperative storytelling

etc.

Since I have very few cons lined up for 2013, and am scheduled to staff at Anime Expo, it seems like a good option. There's also A-Kon, but that's tentative (and I think submissions for panels may have ended?) If you'd like to suggest another, please do.

Can I get a show of hands on who would be interested in attending or participating in a panel, and at what convention(s)?
