“Clearly, pulsating walls of flesh belong in vacation homes, not fortresses.” He didn’t mind playing along. The idea was gross, yes, but not without novelty. “Skulls too, without magical reinforcement. Bone is more fragile than we like to think about.” He tried not to dwell on ‘Thanatos Tower’ with minimal success. “Or you could put things like that in antechambers as a deterrent.”

Not that it would work on people like… actually, he didn’t know this girl’s name, did he?

She gave a friendly smile, wondering if she could find a vacation home made out of pulsating flesh one day. Wouldn’t that just be grand? Although the normalcy of these buildings did make her more suspicious than disappointed (she was still pretty disappointed though). It was really nice to see him play along with her instead of just dismissing her.  

“I guess we will. Though don’t worry too much about it whatever it is,  there are not really any bad Arcana per se. Now, how about we continue on our way back to the lodge? I’m sure you are pretty cold.”

“This blizzard is starting to be a pain in the ass… This would probably be a good time to get out of here before things get a little too out of hand, don’t you think?” He suggested, already looking back to see if he could find one of their snowballs.

“I… don’t see any of our markers,” Shit. In this stark white blizzard? They were lucky enough to be able to tell where the ground was. Now where would they go?

“Stay close,” He ordered, backing up against Eriko, his pistol drawn as he aimed into nothingness. Shadows could spring up at any moment, and he needed to be alert.

The markers being obscured meant that even if this wasn’t some sort of illusionary area, it would be extremely difficult to find their way back. This was bad, but being out in this weather might be worse. As much as the Night Queen’s attack on the school made her more or less willing to fight in the cold and know how to keep herself going in it. There was no guarantee that her current partner could keep up with her in this regard. Plus, even if she could fight in the cold, the winds and obscured vision were probably to much of a hazard to continue forth without some sort of guide.

Though which way to run was a question. If they went forward to where they saw that figure then they would definitely fall for that trap, if they go back there could easily be a contingency plan for if they ran from the initial trap anyways. Either way, the enemy would know where they were gonna go.

So the best option was go in neither of those directions, right?

Eriko grabbed onto the edge of Adachi’s coat, not wanting to even try to grab his arm in case it would cause him to accidentally fire his gun. Wasting his ammo, the only way she could see him defending himself as of right now, would be horrible. Although, once he knows to run off to the side with her then maybe she can grabbed his hand instead so they won’t get separated in the blizzard.

“That’s an interesting question. I don’t really know if a demon would know another person’s Arcana. Usually something like that could only be found out about another person if you know them well enough, or they have awoken to their Persona of course.”

Give her a moment to process what just responded to her.

“What about Death? I think someone’s mentioned it to me a few times.” They figured that was their Arcana if it kept being brought up to them… Some of the cops… which kind of looked like zombies now that they weren’t focused on their surroundings, seemed to like whispering that to them. Though, the thought of that being their arcana made them feel both sad and uneasy.
