We might get some almonds this year! With our late heavy frosts and constant winds, I always knew almonds would be a stretch, but so far so good.

The problem with winter cover crops is that we can never deny the pollinators an early feed, nor our eyes the flowers' beauty.

A slab of reclaimed concrete in the garden has been adopted by my daughter while awaiting its intended use. Looks like it's found its true calling.

R has taken up making baskets using the materials and techniques of the traditional owners of our area. The repetition is a welcome therapy on her darkest days.

This is Ducky. He's a special duck. He taught my permaculture design certificate 6 years ago, and has taught many since. He even lived with Bill Mollison for a year at his property in Stanely, Tasmania. It makes me very happy that Ducky is still quacking, waddling, and making people smile.
