Close contact was unexpected unless it came as a flying fist or swift kick. Rarely did anyone willingly come close to Cell and rarer still was it in the form of Kaki’s gentle hug. What provoked it, he wasn’t sure. Beings like her had various and complex emotions. Cell didn’t suffer from such things.

Kaki’s whispers, tone as soft as the sentiment she conveyed, felt as if it was coming from a million miles away despite her proximity. It was gentle and yearning and filled with other emotions he was only beginning to learn and feel himself. Cell couldn’t put a name to the feeling in his chest, the way it twisted and ached, similar and yet different from before. More intense. One hand lifted to rest on her back, the action somehow feeling right.

     She rolled her eyes at the human comment. At least her energy glamour was still holding up to avoid his detection. “Yes, yes. I know what biological means. I went to school, thank you. So, if I feed into your blabber, then tell me…where did you even come from? I think I would have remembered spotting you in the past.” He appeared rather threatening, but she refused to let that show. Appearance wasn’t everything, if the truth be told.

This organic ritual was strange. Pressing your lips together for the purpose of, what? Did organics get a power boost this way? Did they read power levels through the touch of their lips? Maybe it was a disarming tactic. Whatever its intent, Gero’s computer had failed to fully educate Cell on this topic. Which, now that he thought about it, meant it was either insignificant in terms of fighting, or completely unrelated and thus unnecessary. 

Cell was banking on the latter. Organics were weak and meant to be disposed of. They were exactly the type to have nonsense rituals. 

So why was he about to kiss one?

Kaki was still waiting. “Well?” 

Magenta eyes narrowed. He was the one who initiated this little exercise into kissing. Well, time to try it then. 

How was she so short? Funny how he hadn’t exactly realized this fact until he was bent at the waist to bring their faces inches apart, noses barely touching. Gray eyes stared back at him, something unreadable hiding in their depths. In the magazine, their eyes had been closed. Cell, deciding to go for the full effect, closed his eyes and moved forward until their lips touched. Then he pulled back. 

That felt unsuccessful. No, they had been doing something else with their lips. He tried again, this time his lips forming against hers. He pulled back after another moment. 

That time felt better, but he wanted to try again. It was weird but he had... felt something? Was his hypothesis correct? Did organics actually get power this way? 

Cell kissed Kaki again, this time his hand holding her jaw in place against him. His grip was a little rough, unused to the delicate nature of relationships. There were only the briefest of pauses between his kisses, though some lasted longer than others. It had started off experimental, the pauses between the kisses full of contemplation on how it felt and what it meant, but it quickly dissolved into a flurry. At some point during this, Kaki had started to lift upwards, both her ki and Cell’s arms supporting her. 

Slowly, the kisses dissolved on their lips and neither looked as if they had expected it to take quite such a turn of events. 

so awhile back I got super stressed. my health was bad, indies were stressing me, and I was displaying symptoms of depression that indies were only making worse and I had zero idea of what was going on. Then my uterus decided to take over and do its thing... for a month. the time of the month for a month. naturally, I started freaking out and I won’t get into details cause it’s not really necessary. 

long story short, I’m fine, my vitamin d levels (haha vitamin d, there we had the laugh) were extremely, abysmally low and I’m on vitamins now. so I’m on a slow path to hopefully feeling better. I am also going to be taking my time in getting back into my indie accounts and I’m in the process of setting up a multi muse blog. Which doesn’t really matter here because Cell is staying on his own blog. He doesn’t play nice with others and it took 2103921408124901 years to make his about page. so we’re stickin’ here.
