Miles is possibly aromantic? He prefers not to use labels, but it's hard to explain sometimes.
Andre is the first to catch his eye. He's cute, sure, but Miles likes the boy's cologne better than the person himself. He's handsome, and more importantly, he's always there in Miles' favourite class (transfiguration). Andre falls asleep in Binn's classroom during the chocolate frogs hunt, and Miles starts questioning himself. Nothing happens though, and the two remain friendly.
Barnaby Lee is his first boyfriend. He's sweet and genuine, and Miles always saw him with puppy ears. They bonded over taking care of (Hagrid's) magical creatures that Miles doesn't care much for, but tolerate. Over time, Miles starts to enjoy looking after the little critters, and continues to spend extra time with them after the breakup. Barnaby accepts Miles for being aro, and admits that he's also a bit confused about romance. Miles loves him and he knows that, but upon discovering that Ismelda had a crush on Barnaby, the Hufflepuff starts noticing other people's attraction towards his boyfriend, and decides to end the relationship so that Barnaby has a chance in finding romance.
Charlie Weasley was the year's it boy. He didn't care much for popularity, and that was part of the charm. Charlie finds him in the wandering in the forbidden forest, trying to process his breakup with Barnaby. The two grow closer as Charlie relates to not feeling romantic attraction towards people; unlike Miles, he never felt curious and had no issue rejecting his pursuers and feigning ignorance. People in school all think they're a proper couple, with them going on "secret" butter beer "dates" and fooling around in the prefects' bathroom. Their relationship isn't quite like that, but it's hard to explain and the two don't bother trying to. After graduating, Miles follows him to Romania, and the more romantic aspects of their relationship are shared by some others in their new friend group (they do live together, after all). They're really just bros, though.
Chiara Lobosca was always in the background, but Miles always knew she was there. Little Miss Bright Wolf brought out the most surprised look in him after all, when he spit out his drink feigning shock at her revelation. Miles accompanies Charlie in transporting the dragons for the triwizard tournament, after which Miles heads out to gather some herbs. They bump into each other in some random forest and they catch up. With the new anti-werewolf legislation, Chiara lost her job and had a hard time gathering ingredients for her wolfsbane potions. Miles tells her that things would only get worse, especially with her distinctive werewolf features, and proposes to smuggle her out of the country. They move to a faraway land before the tournament ends, where Miles changes his name and adapts Chiara's surname. The pair share a familial bond and live a quiet life, where Chiara volunteers at the local hospital while Borf lays on the windowsill listening to his dad's humming in the kitchen. This is the closest Miles gets to inner peace and a family, with him and Chiara being the parents (to Borf) he never had.
