A Tokyo university student is taking a photograph of a local high school girl using a dual-lens reflex camera. Notice how he's shooting with it. It's strange that he'd wear a hat even in this kind of situation.

Also in 1936, this photograph shows students at Osaka's Tezukayama Gakuin Girls' High School's photography club. Graduates served as models as the group took portraits together. Many students are looking up at the camera - likely using twin-lens reflex cameras.

These were students from the photography club at Tokyo Prefectural First High School for Girls in 1936. The first high school girls were among the most elite female students of their time.
