I wish everyone would admit that classic literature is inherently difficult to read, and that you shouldnโt feel stupid if you donโt โget itโ. Especially the dark academia/ classic lit fandoms and stuff. Like unless you have the vocabulary and pop culture knowledge of an 18th century nobleman, itโs going to be a tough read. Itโll take you longer to read; youโre not stupid if youโve spent several months on a single book! And you donโt have to enjoy everything. Itโs okay if you got bored after one chapter of Wuthering Heights, and couldnโt be bothered to read the rest. Itโs okay if you want to read your favourite kids book for the 10th time instead. Youโre not stupid. No piece of literature is inherently better, more โimportantโ, more โmeaningfulโ, or more โintellectualโ than another. First and foremost, read what brings you joy.

no. absolutely not. i cannot emphasise enough how little of a summer person i am. summer is the worst.ย
on a similar note, i am DYING in this heat. i took my dogs out for a walk last night and it was literally 9:30 but it was still way to hot to walk and we all gave up after 10 minutes. i cannot take it but thankfully i think itโs going to start raining this weekend and it cannot come soon enough.ย
