So Lockās ear got ripped up thanks to a gunshot wound. I was originally thinking that he got from the thanksgiving realm from a couple of pilgrims that took the extreme level to get rid of them, but then later on I realized that would just get them in trouble with the pumpkin king. So he got it in the human realm by a hunter who mistook him as a strange animal while he(Lock) was heading home from scavenging the scrapyard. Heās okay but a lot more wary of humans, especially with their weapons while the hunter went home to tell his friends of a cryptid he saw.
Barrel was getting bullied by a cyclops. He would pick on him due to his short size and seemingly passive demeanor. Itās been going on for a couple of years and while Lock and Shock stepped in to defend him, it would escalate to them getting jumped by his gang (5 to 6 against 3). Eventually, Barrel just had enough and the pent up anger led to a school cafeteria fight started by a third flick to Barrelās ear. The fight was dirty from both sides and while Barrel came out on top, it wasnāt without a couple of injuries. He got his tooth knocked pretty bad and one of his earring was pulled off (hence the little gap) after that, the cyclops kid left him alone. Lock told him to get a gold tooth to make him look cool.
Shock was too young to remember how she got the scar. She was a baby when her parents and siblings were hunted down. Her mother witnessed her entire family get killed by hunters and she ran away with her last child. She took injuries shielding her child from bullets and arrows. She made it back home and hid inside while she grieved the loss of her husband and children. Later a young and inexperienced hunter would find the cabin and set it on fire. Too weak to fight back, her last act was to shield her baby while the burning roof collapsed. After the fire died down, the hunter searched through the rubble after hearing a baby crying. He would then find the motherās body and wrapped around her arms was a little baby in her blanket with a burn on her left eye. Overwhelmed with guilt, the hunter took baby Shock and hid her from the rest of his comrades until he could find a different realm that would keep her safe.
(Itās too long but fast forward a couple of years) Shock still had the eyeball but just couldnāt see very well. But living with Oogie, she lost the eye entirely because the bugs ate it. Since then, Shock has a fear of fire and bugs.

when i was but a wee lad i randomly got fixated on certain names (mostly made-up ones) because the specific combination of letters was satisfying. one of these names was azlin/aslin (pronounced either as azz-lynn (like in the word 'jazz') or aze-lynn (like in the word 'maze'), so when i signed up for roblox i wanted my username to be azlin. but azlin was taken so instead i used az1in. a couple years ago i added two extra Zs cuz i thought it was just better. it's also only pronounced azz-lynn now, i don't like the pronunciation aze-lynn anymore

Long story actually, it started as CharlotteConMiel (Charlotte with honey in Spanish) and that was my name on YouTube for a long time, then I changed it into JuneWithSugar because honey has sugar in it lmao and I don't like the name Charlotte anymore. Iāve shared my usernameās lore before but no harm in doing it again!!
āPraythisdemondiesā is a lyric from a song that was stuck in my head when I made my tumblr account. No Iām not going to tell you what song it is. Itās embarrassing.
My actual internet name/handle though, Toasterswing, is the result of a series of telephonelike username modifications that I did with myself, which eventually ended in the combination handle I use today. I feel more comfortable going by Toaster online nowadays, but fun fact I also used to go by Swing! The first username I ever came up with that wasnāt When I Was Seven was āThe_Posessed_Swingā (yes possessed was spelled wrong on purpose). It was based on the swing we had hanging on our porch that would swing around looking like it was absolutely possessed by a demon every time there was even a little wind, and I thought it sounded funny as a username. After that I started keeping a list of things I also thought sounded like funny usernames in case I ever needed one, and have slowly been using them. One from that list was Homosexual_Toaster, which is my Artfight username (another one was my Ao3 username, Suddenly_Lesbianism lmao). Over the years as I found the need to be a bit more consistent with what I go by online, I started doing alts on those original two usernames, like āThe_Posessed_Fridgeā for my instagram (ā¦we also had a fridge that liked to make very ominous noises). The proper combination ultimately came with the need for a signature I could put on my art, because previously Iād been signing with my name, but I no longer wanted to have my name be public knowledge online. It could easily have ended up as āPossessedtoasterā or āToasterfridgeā or something else, but āToasterswingā just kinda stuck, and itās been that ever since!

Before I started posting my art or taking my account a little more serious, it used to have a different name but I forgot what it was called. It think it was āhiccup something somethingā I canāt remember what it was called but it was something like that lol ( the something somethings meant I forgot the rest of the previous username ). After I made my username, I did nothing with it until a couple of years later, I decided to change my username to the one now and post my art. The username means I just post and disappear for a couple of weeks until I post another ( Iām slow ). Itās also a slight reference to the peace out guy meme. Thatās basically it lol.

Currently Working On: I have two pieces of art I claimed for this year's DeanCas Horrorfest Reverse Bang, so I'm working on those fics! I'm also approaching 50 fics uploaded to AO3 (not counting the ones I orphaned years ago), so I'm working on finishing a fic I've been working on for literal years now so I can post it for the 50th. It's nothing impressive, but it means a lot to me at this point. Also some small craft projects irl, and I really need to finish my Art Fight ref sheets

Currently Reading: The Luis Ortega Survival Guide by Sonido Reyes (although they changed their name after releasing it)- it's about victims of sexual assault (as well as a few other things) speaking out and getting some revenge on the person who hurt them, with a disabled protagonist and focus on friendship/community/romance alongside the narratives surrounding the antagonist
