wait i’m so so sorry if this is dumb but are grace and paige still together like 2029 time bc i thought so since the poolparty but now in 2026 time paige says she’s not together w grace
yes. they break up in 2026 therefore if they’re together in 2029 the logical conclusion would be that they get back together at some point between those timelines
is the lexie creepy guy thing a foreshadow… also lana calling paige a ‘client’ in the first chapter when they were practically living together is not real
technically it’s a little confusing bc paige started giving her money so i do understand where her saying that stems from 🧐

2026, DALLAS, TX
For Paige Bueckers passing of time was different. Years weren’t split into seasons - there was no blossoming spring or burnished fall. For her the years were split only into two. There was the season, and the time after.
The time after however, felt much like winter. With it came icy storms and seasonal depression, bitter memories of the missed opportunities of the past summer. Postseason had become a time of admitting defeat, of recounting all the mistakes, a moment of regret and frustration. It came with the loss of the comforting heat and the hopefulness that only existed in those bright days of the early summer. When everything felt possible.
Postseason was a time to return back to reality. To a rigid routine and steady mealtimes. To an alarm clock that goes off at 8AM each morning just so she doesn’t lose control. The old Paige would’ve been horrified to admit that there were times when she wanted to give it all up. To just take a couple months off it all and surrender to her deepest desires. But every year she returned back to her set patterns. Not this time. The control is already lost and for the first time in her life Paige doesn’t care.
Paige had never felt so free.
“So this is why you couldn’t win a championship this season, huh?” Tasha says over the music, eyes locked on the blonde girl undressing slowly for the group. Lexi sways her round hips from side to side, spurred on by the pairs of eyes hungry for her.
“Whatchu mean?” Zaza laughs absentmindedly, hand running along the backside of some half-naked girl sitting on her thigh. She was a fresh face at The Lonestar. Still a little timid, cheeks pink and naive. The glitter covering her brown skin catches the glimmer of the spotlights. Colours pulse across her skin. Purple, pink, blue, yellow. It’s not just the new girl. It’s Lexi too, as she undoes her shirt one button at a time to some Frank Ocean song.
“Man, I’d be distracted with this too.” Tash winks, letting her eyes fall to the curve of Lexi’s ass.
The lights, usually red or pink, shine with a soft tangerine glow. A bottle of champagne pops loudly, followed by squeals and bubbles bursting all over. It’s all too much, everything everywhere. Not many people could handle such sensory saturation sober. Paige didn’t intend to either, she lets the liquor burn on its way down. Vape smoke, half naked women, four different fruity perfumes competing with each other, all packed in a small, private room. Paige used to count sets, reps, mistakes. None of it matters now. The discipline Paige used to worship had become a fleeting figure in the background, pointless. She had never known how much else there is to worship. Not until her.
“Your glass is empty, Miss Bueckers.”
Lana’s voice comes as a low murmur, inaudible unless you were paying close attention - which Paige was. The girl rolls over to her stomach on the rough carpet, arching her back like a wildcat before climbing all the way up to her knees. The floor is covered in cash and spilled drinks. White feathers from a boa that now decorated T’s neck unbeknownst to her. She passed out half an hour ago.
“Yeah?” A cocky smile grows on the blonde’s lips as she leans back on the leather chair, creaking with her movements. With a devious smirk Lana begins to crawl towards her. As if her sight didn’t stop at the leathery skin but went past, all the way through. She knew every morbid thought, each twisted wish in Paige’s head.
“Uhuh.” The girl nods, tongue darting over her glossy lips. The white strap of her lacey bra droops down her shoulder when it tilts. She reaches the blonde at last, nestling her cheek into Paige’s scarred knee.
“You gon’ pour a drink for me?”
“Mmh.” Lana shakes her head, long, sparkling nails wrapping around the white cotton of Paige’s T-shirt that, somehow miraculously, had not been stained yet.
“Only if you take this off.”
The ridiculousness of the demand makes Paige chuckle. Yet, the insistent gaze upwards tells her it’s far from a joke. In regular circumstances she wouldn’t fold so fast. But the alcohol was coursing through her, and those sharp eyes made her weak deep within. Lana had the reins. They both knew it. Paige’s fingertips are already reaching for the hem. In a flash the shirt lies on the floor, getting stained and walked on. An amused hoot comes from Tasha, sitting on the chair just a couple feet away from the blonde.
“Damn, P. You joining these girls now?”
“Ay, I’m just doing what I’m told,” Paige responds. Tasha throws her head back, finishing the champagne bubbles before pouring herself more. She can taste the fizzing already, throat suddenly itching for a drink.
The weight of the girl presses into Paige’s lap, cold thighs straddling her waist. Annoyed by her diverted attention, Lana runs the tip of her burning nose against Paige’s long neck, causing a jolt to run through her. Somewhere else there’s laughter, Tash smacking Zaza’s arm to nod towards the pair. The sound doesn’t reach them. The two are trapped in a snowglobe, a bubble of glass enveloping them within.
“Fuck.” Paige bites her lower lip, not registering whatever her friend is trying to tell her. With sloppy movements she lifts her glass, never looking away from Lana’s focused face until she feels her lap suddenly soaked. The champagne paints them both, golden drops on Lana’s bare thighs.
“I spilled,” Lana pouts, glancing down at the wet spot gathering on Paige’s shorts. “I can lick it off.”
The girl is already crawling down when Paige’s large hands grip onto her waist.
“You’re not goin’ nowhere,” Paige growls. She feels it for a millisecond, a warning sign she shouldn’t have ignored so willingly - the horrifying dread of not feeling her cool skin on her, the space created by the lack of her weight. She sternly pulls her back down, drunk and needy. In a moment of aching need Paige lets her palm lower, landing a smack on the curve of Lana’s ass. At this moment she’s grateful for the private room, knowing that she could behave however filthy was necessary and it would be contained by the thick, heavy door by the entrance.
“Ow,” Lana hisses. Nostrils flaring, she shoves the blonde’s shoulders as hard as she can. It’s not much revenge, Paige barely shifts
“Don’t whine,” Paige whispers into her ear, grabbing Lana’s small wrists in one hand with ease. The old her would have been too timid, too disciplined even in front of her close friends. But the season was over, and her focus was elsewhere. How freeing it could be to let go of the expectations that had been set on her: by her dad, coaches, God, herself. Only now the blonde realised how limiting it all was, the mold she tried to force herself into. She had outgrown it, bursting at the seams.
“I paid for a full service,” she hums. There’s another smack on soft skin, the girl jumping as if it hurt. As if Paige didn’t know that heat in Lana’s cheeks was for some other reason entirely, gathering at her core. Pulling back, the girl’s head tilts with a teasing provocation.
“Not enough.”
With a grin and a face pulsing with desire, Paige’s fingers draw a hundred dollar bill from her wallet. They both lean back, watching together as the blonde brings her hand down Lana’s stomach. She dips her fingers into the band of Lana’s thong, slowly dragging the bill in it, gaze flickering back to the girl as the band snaps back into place - only to find the girl’s large eyes staring back, black pupils covering the brown of her irises nearly completely. There’s mascara smudged along her bottom lashes, glittering eyeshadow whitening her inner corners. Before Paige can fully take in all her glory, Lana’s lips land on hers.
“Ay, whoa,” Zaza screams, Tasha’s voice blending into the bubbling laughter. They’re just a distant memory now.
Lana tastes like liquor and something irreversible. Something Paige would rather die than let go of. The old Paige would’ve pulled back, would’ve felt embarrassed over such misbehaviour in front of her friends. But with losing control comes indescribable freedom. Something she never had before. Knowing you’ll be great since the age of seven puts this unbelievable pressure on you. It had been so long since Paige stopped thinking and instead, just did.
“How do I get that service?” Tash points, nodding towards Lexi. The blonde girl giggles, removing her top at last, though her sharp eyes linger on her friend - she knew better than anyone how private Lana’s lips truly were.
“I think she got the premium membership,” Lexi laughs, swaying her hips to the music.
“Damn, how much have you been here?” Tasha chuckles, shoving the blonde’s shoulder. Paige doesn’t notice. Her arms are holding onto the girl like she might run at any point, grabbing the back of her head as she kisses her with increasing force.
“Too much,” Lana answers as she comes up for air, trying to catch her breath before the blonde is pulling her in again. Their lips glide together as if they’re trying to feel every inch. Kissing Lana always felt like being on the cusp of some great, revolutionary discovery. That golden moment in a new team when things finally lock in place, when you figure out how to win together. Paige is so stupidly, disgustingly happy. It runs through her bones, rushing to the surface as she bursts into laughter against the glossed lips.
“Why are you laughing?” Lana’s gasping, her words heavily accented. Though the corners of her mouth lift as she fights back joining Paige’s laughter.
“I got a secret for you,” the blonde says, pulling the girl in. She’s hanging on to every slurred word, every glance that comes from those heavy lidded, drunken eyes. Paige’s lips tickle against Lana’s earlobe, breath hot and teasing.
It is anything but a whisper when the words come out. It might as well not be a secret at all. Yet Lana leans in closer, stomach flipping to hear about Paige’s grand revelation.
“I’m so drunk right now.”
Both of them burst into laughter, Lana’s hand playfully pushing the blonde’s cheek. Her long nails tap against the glass of champagne with a high-pitched sound.
“Drink up,” she dictates. And Paige does. So help her God if she ever goes against those big brown eyes.
“Is she good?” The new girl laid out on Zaza’s lap chuckles. Her words catch Lana’s attention, struggling to hold in her laughter at T, slouched in the corner with feathers around her neck. The new girl reaches over, tapping a finger against her shoulder. But T only groans, her head lulling back as she pulls the boa over her eyes to block the outside world.
“Oh, she gone,” Tash says, causing everyone to bubble into chuckles. Even then, Paige’s hands never stop holding Lana’s body. They grip tight in their quiet desperation for something more.
The elated mood could not be flattened by T, or not even when the heavy door slides open. Coloured lights slip in from the crack until the short man closes it behind him, leaning his back against it. His white suit is coloured orange by the room, dripping with amber.
Paige and Lana are in a world of their own, consumed by each other in a mutual bliss. Hushed conversations, shared looks, inside jokes unknown to everyone but them. To them it was innocent enough, but there wasn’t a person in that room that didn’t see it. Some sort of magic manifesting itself from thin air.
“Lana?”
Lexi’s sharp nails press into the girl’s shoulder, her touch somehow crossing the shield that had been built around the pair. It bursts into a million shatters, the bass of the song thumping too hard, the lights too overwhelming, the champagne too sharp.
“What?” Lana says irritatedly, glancing over her shoulder. Behind Lexi Johnny pulls of his sunglasses, nodding his head. He’s satisfied by the mess, after all everybody knew the bigger the mess the more money.
“Come on Lana, got a client for you,” Johnny snaps his fingers expectantly. Paige hates the way her stomach turns from something else than the alcohol. The blonde doesn’t even notice the way her grip tightens on Lana’s thigh.
“I have a client already.” The girl nods towards Paige.
“It’s not a debate,” the man screams over the thumping music. “We go where the money goes, remember?”
Only when Lana lifts her leg does Paige comprehend the meaning behind the words. There was someone else, someone offering more, threatening to take the treasure off her lap. Someone else is claiming ownership. And Lana would make it feel just as real as she did with her. God knows if she would be fed to the dogs. She could take care of herself, Paige knew that. But it would take one creepy guy, one wrong move. As the thought sickens her, her hands tighten on Lana’s skin.
“No.” The argument comes fast from Paige’s lips. Maybe it’s the alcohol or the panic bubbling inside her. It’s not directed at Johnny, but the girl on her lap prying her hands off.
“I have a job to do,” Lana murmurs, suddenly sober and blank faced. The blonde’s grip on her only tightens. Finally, her blue eyes find Johnny from somewhere in the background.
“How much is he paying?”
The man kisses his teeth, carefully taking steps forwards. From up close it was clear that his pupils were just as enormous as Lana’s.
“A good amount. Enough for me to come get her.” It takes all of Paige’s hard earned self-discipline not to smack his hand away when it pulls on strands of Lana’s hair.
“Can’t Dolly do it?” Lana whines, batting her doe eyes.
“This guy is paying too much for Dolly.”
“What if I pay double and she stays?”
Paige’s voice makes them stop, the words hanging in the air for longer than she expected. Honestly it’s not that much, Paige would triple it, if that’s what it took. There was no money that would be too much. She almost misses the look Johnny and Lana share, almost.
“Done,” Johnny claps his hands together. Easy as that. “Have a good night ladies, you got another hour to go.”
Lana squeals, wrapping hands around Paige’s neck. She presses her body against the blonde, running her restless hands all over the blonde’s muscular hands. But her joy is nothing compared to the relief the blonde feels, finally softening her grip. She would be okay. Lana would stay here - forever, if it only took money to spend.

The pavement reflects the red lights coming from above, wet from the storm that still hasn’t eased. Raindrops tap against the roof, spilling down the windows. There are hundreds of drops, coming together their way down to follow after the trail of the one that created it. It’s not ideal driving conditions, not at all. The night had stretched out far too late, and Paige had been standing outside not caring that the water was soaking her clothes, her hair. It was better than the champagne staining her shorts.
“Finally,” she murmurs, spinning the keys in her fingers before catching them.
She had no business driving - as sober as she felt a couple hours of not drinking wasn’t enough to do the trick. But she couldn’t possibly leave her car here. Or the girl tiptoeing towards her with short, fast steps. Heels tap against the pavement in the secluded street, other visitors of The Lonestar already far gone. The wind blows Lana’s fur coat open but she pulls it in tighter, keeping it wrapped around her.
“Don’t whine, it doesn’t suit you.” Lana pushes her tongue out, unable to stop her eyes from creasing from the smile on her lips.
“Get in.”
“You’re wet,” the girl groans, drunkenly running her hand over Paige’s chest. The blonde grabs it before it’s too much, heat pulsing between them. It takes Lana a moment to realise what she said, laughing to herself as Paige shuts the door behind her. The engine comes to life and a loud rap song with it, the bass vibrating on the leather seats.
Luckily the streets are quiet - it’s the middle of the week after all. Paige can speed as much as she wants, turning up the music to quiet the whispers of her old self. Of how reckless this all was.
“Ow, shit,” Lana hisses, pressing her nostrils together as she comes back up. She leans her head against the seat, breathing rapidly for a moment. It didn’t take long for the girl to become bored of hiding her bad habit, it was just one of many. And Paige seemed to accept it, to willingly look the other way and pretend not to notice the faint white dust on Lana’s hand. The girl runs a finger over it, absentmindedly rubbing it into her gums. A routine that had gone on for longer than she’d like to admit.
“Aren’t we gonna sleep soon?” Paige asks, trying her hardest to hide the slight edge to her words. But Lana is high and swaying to the song, confidently singing the wrong lyrics.
“You want to sleep?” Lana grins, batting her long lashes. The blonde can’t help her eyes diverting from the glistening pavement.
“You got other plans?” Paige teases, wrapping a hand around her cool thigh, gaze shifting back to the road.
“Mhmm,” Lana nods in a whiny voice, tugging off the flimsy top that wasn’t doing much to cover her glittery bra. Suddenly not tired at all, the blonde can’t fight the way her eyes flicker to the girl, particularly the two peaks on her chest. The road Paige, The road.
“Whatchu doing?” She laughs nervously, feeling the girl lift Paige’s large hand to her lips and kissing each finger. Her mouth is soft and plump and warm. Just that is enough for the jolt to throb deep inside Paige. Her knuckles turn white as she tightens the grip around the wheel, Lana’s mouth moving up and up until the girl is on her knees, running her tongue along Paige’s bare shoulder. The ones left perfectly on display in her sports bra. She feels sharp teeth wrapping around the muscle and biting suddenly.
“Shit,” the blonde hisses, spreading her legs wide open as she stares into the darkness of the night. She needs to get home now or they’re not getting anywhere.
The girl is in her ear, whining and tugging on her earlobe. Lana turns the music louder, hand coming to grab Paige’s thigh. The car swerves with Paige’s insides, stomach dropping with each hum, touch, bite. She should pull over. She’s in no place to be behind the wheel right now. But God, she can’t.
“Sit back down,” the blonde huffs, not very convincingly. The road was becoming more and more blurry. “You’re gonna make me crash.”
“I’m not scared,” Lana whispers into her ear, giggling softly. Paige’s eyes nearly roll back when her warm breath tingles against her pulsepoint.
“If we crash, we crash. Don’t you wanna get to heaven?”
Her grip tightens around Paige’s leg, nails digging into the skin of her inner thigh. She can feel it, the desire growing in her boxers. How easy it would be for her to buck her hips forward and feel that tempting pressure against herself.
“Lana, damn it,” Paige suddenly hisses, pushing the girl with a little too much force. She just swerves back into her own lane in time to miss the oncoming car.“Can you fucking be still for a second.”
The girl is too high to care about the words, giggling to herself as she leans back on the seat. Water splashes around the vehicle as they speed through a puddle. Lana can’t stay still for long. Her hand goes to the volume button, turning the song up even more until it rings in Paige’s ears.
“That’s loud enough,” the blonde grunts, feeling her nerves begin to spike with irritation.
“No, it’s not.”
“Yes it is.”
She turns it up either way. The beat is aching in the blonde’s ears all the way until the car is parked, coming to a halt with a break that’s pressed down a little too fast. She can see it all the way from outside, the warm hue bleeding into the darkness.
“Did you leave the damn lights on again?”
“No I didn’t,” Lana argues, suddenly offended.
“Then who did because it sure as shit wasn’t me.”
Paige climbs out, walking over to the girl’s side. Lana sits there, crossing her arms and moping.
“It wasn’t me.”
The defiant look in her eyes makes it impossible to stay angry. Paige can’t help the way her heart stammers in its cage, even in her fit of rage.
“What am I gonna do with you?” Paige groans. With fast motions she lifts Lana out of the car, slinging her over her shoulder. A loud scream comes, followed by an eruption of giggles. Paige is sure it’s loud enough for the entire complex to wake up, to come to the window and find Paige Bueckers of the Dallas Wings carrying a half naked girl into her apartment. But the thing about freedom is you stop caring. So why would it matter?
“Let me go!” Lana screams, kicking her legs. Paige holds them down sternly, hand dragging against her bare back.
A voice deep inside her whispers wicked thoughts - about how good it would feel for someone to see. How getting caught would be the best thing right now. Then finally she could break that role she had been playing since the start of her fame to be endlessly good. Always humble, never inappropriate. Perfect. It felt so good not to be that all the time.
“Nah, you ain’t going nowhere little lady,” Paige carries her all the way to the door, ignoring the way the girl fights and squirms. These were the games they had been playing for two weeks now. Turns out they both love games, and they both love to win.
“Where are the keys,” the blonde pants, holding Lana’s purse in a single hand as the girl kicks her heels.
“Nevermind, got em.”
As the door opens incandescent light spills from the bedroom all the way into the pitch black hallway. Paige should be angry, it’s a conversation they’ve had a thousand times. But her mind is already elsewhere.
She walks straight into the kitchen, harshly placing Lana on the marble counter. She’s starry eyed, smiling from ear to ear in such a way it would be forever carved into Paige’s DNA. Instinctively, Lana’s legs wrap around Paige’s waist, pulling her in with force and letting her skirt hike up in the process.
“You left this mess too?” Paige hisses, nodding towards the dishes in the sink. Her mouth is already roaming Lana’s neck, tongue looking for her pulsepoint. She’s not actually mad. It’s part of their game.
“I’m not a cleaner,” Lana exhales, undoing Paige’s tight bun. “We should get a maid.”
With every kiss the girl’s breathing becomes sharper, lifting her hips restlessly into the blonde’s abdomen. Paige pulls back, shaking her head with a disapproving tilt.
“God, you’re spoiled,” Paige complains, hands rummaging across Lana’s thighs.
“You like it, I know you do,” Lana grins, tugging on the blonde strands. “You like everything I do, that’s how much you like me. You would do anything for me.”
She’s just playing. Yet the words hit so close to the truth it’s as if a sharp knife slashes through Paige’s insides. Her breath stutters in the process. She hides her burning face into the crook of Lana’s neck, sucking the pale skin between her teeth.
“You can be such a bitch,” she groans, inhaling the scent of her perfume.
“I’m your bitch,” Lana whimpers, rolling her hips closer desperately.
“Fuck, that’s right.”
The girl rolls her hips again, as if Paige didn’t get the meaning minutes ago. Lana’s slender arms fold behind her back, undoing her bra in an instance. She lets it fall somewhere on the ground, perky breasts covered in a sea of goosebumps. Paige’s limbs work without thought, palm pressing into her hardened nipple.
“You don’t wanna sleep? It’s late.” The clock on the oven glares at 6:05. Lana only shakes her head.
“Then what do you want?”’
Lana’s chestnut eyes flash sharp and demanding, tilting her head to the side.
“You know what I want, Paige Bueckers.”
A jolt surges through Paige, causing an uncontrollable grunt to spill from her mouth. She squeezes the skin by her inner thigh, mustering up all her self-discipline not to jump her right now.
“Yeah baby, I know,” she murmurs. Her voice is hoarse from the drinking and the continuous laughter. “But I wanna hear you.”
Lana squirms. The need is so deep, throbbing inside her. Her mouth opens, yet the words seem to get caught somewhere on their way out. She might want it bad, but her pride runs far too deep to bend to anyone’s will so easily. Let alone Paige’s.
“Ugh, nevermind,” the girl suddenly pushes the blonde off, jumping off the counter and walking off. Paige stumbles back, reflexes slowed and hands still feeling Lana’s warmth.
“Lana?”
The girl is running off, leaving a trail of giggles behind. The apartment is large, yet Paige reaches her fast. The blonde’s hand stops the bathroom door from being shut, the girl tugging on the handle on the other side.
“You in trouble now,” Paige grunts, pulling the door wide open. She’s standing in the dark, small shoulders lifting with each laboured breath.
“Get away from me,” she exhales, unable to bury the smile forming on her lips. Her eyes flicker back and forth from Paige to the door, to Paige again. Finally, she tries to make a run for it, to be fast enough to slip through the doorway. They both know it won’t work, proved the very moment Paige’s hands wrap around Lana’s waist.
“I don’t think so pretty,” Paige growls, walking the girl to the sink. Before she can make sense of it, Lana is being bent over the sink with a large hand wrapped around her messed up hair.
“Stop,” Lana whines, staring into the blonde’s focused reflection.
“You want me to?”
Their eyes meet in a quiet battle. The girl doesn’t answer - which to them both is answer enough.
Paige pulls down the skirt and Lana’s panties with it, not bothering to wait for a second longer when two, long fingers slip inside her. There’s no resistance or need to struggle, they slide in easily just like Paige knew they would. A desperate gasp erupts from Lana, her hands squeezing the cold ceramic. The blonde’s fingers curl into her soft walls before pulling out and repeating it over and over.
Lana’s head lulls forwards, but Paige pulls it up with a forceful yank. She lifts her gaze up from the girl’s hips to the mirror. In the reflection Lana’s brown eyes are staring at her, heavy lidded and needy.
“Don’t look at me, look at yourself,” Paige grunts, forcing her fingers deeper. The girl’s legs tremble in response but she still follows the orders willingly. The blonde had found that in this state Lana became more receptive, more willing to do as Paige said. Something about touching her just right made Lana a blank state, inclined to give the blonde whatever she wanted just for a few more moments of pure bliss.
When Lana’s eyes flicker to her own reflection she finds a stranger staring back. The features were familiar, like a distant memory of someone she hadn’t seen in years. But there was something eerie and wrong about her expression. Utter, genuine, complete devotion. Lana feels her chest tightening as she watches the stranger.
“That’s right,” Paige groans from behind her, letting the wetness trickle down her wrists. A strange frustration takes over, causing her thrusts to become more forceful. She wants Lana to feel her tomorrow, for her not to forget. It wasn’t only about the money, Paige could take care of her completely, to not just give her the material, superficial things but more. To take care of her every single need. To see her completely.
Something about it terrified Lana.
“Look at you.”
The girl’s eyes roll back as Paige’s thrusts grow faster, the splattering sounds filling the echoing room. She won’t stop, only motivated further as she feels Lana’s walls squeezing around her. She adds a third finger, moaning in union with the girl. With a firm yank Lana remembers the blonde’s words, eyes shooting open and finding the stranger in the mirror again. Paige can see through her - how hard it is for Lana to see herself so willingly under someone’s control. In some sick, sadistic way it makes Paige want her more.
“Look at yourself.
-
With the morning comes a stabbing ache along the right side of Lana’s head. Maybe it’s not morning, it doesn’t feel like it. She can’t really feel anything other than the throbbing pain, the burning of her nose and the ache inside her - until nausea hits, not a wave but a tsunami rolling over her entire body at once. This has to be hell. Groggy and dehydrated, she rolls to her stomach, hand reaching over to the left side of the bed. But it’s empty, still warm, but empty.
“Paige?” It feels like she’s screaming, but even with all her energy the sound is meek. She doesn’t want to open her eyes, to face the day, her life - though the last couple of weeks it has been pretty nice. It would come to a violent, explosive ending eventually. An atomic bomb about to land.
“Mmh, P-”
“Sorry, baby,” Paige whispers in the dark room, heavy steps approaching. “Go back to sleep.”
Lana stirs to her back, pulling the sheet around her as she does. At last she faces the world, rubbing her heavy eyes open. They’re only halfway there when the depression hits. Deep as an endless void of nothing. Metal chains tied in knots around her ribs. She sees it, the sleeked back blonde ponytail, the purple gym bag over her shoulder.
“You’re leaving?”
An unsettling panic spreads over her chest, only riling up the bubbling in her stomach. She scooches up the bed despite the room spinning with her.
“Only for a bit. I got practice. You need water?”
A ribbon tightens around Lana’s throat, suffocating her. She accepts the humongous water bottle being handed to her, drinking long, cooling sips. The knot seems to solve itself, yet the feeling remains. A cusp of panic.
“Paige,” Lana murmurs, crashing down more each second. Coming down was never fun, but it had never come with such existential dread before. The fact that only one thing could soothe her made it worse. She could already see the smoke cloud their ending would leave behind, miles of nothing.
Her cold fingers wrap around Paige’s.
“I don’t feel good,” Lana whispers, bringing the blonde’s hand to her face. It covers her entire cheek, cupping it gently. It’s warm and soothing, it smells like her. Whatever hurry Paige was in before is suddenly gone. Her weight presses down on the mattress as she crawls beside Lana, letting the girl curl into her.
“What’s wrong?”
“It’s the coke,” Lana trembles, shocking herself from how vulnerable she was willing to be in her desperation. Anything to keep the blonde there a moment longer. Pressing into Paige’s chest smoothes over her spiked nerves, but each comforting moment is ruined to Lana. Why does she feel so good? This won’t last.
“You gotta sleep it off,” Paige coos, hand petting over Lana’s hair. The girl melts into it, wrapping an arm around Paige’s thigh, bare and cool under the basketball shorts.
“Don’t go.”
The blonde pauses, exhaling heavily. She considers it, God does she. She can’t bear the sight of the girl’s pale cheek pressed into her hoodie, the bags under her eyes, the braided hair at her back. She looks so small this way, so helpless. How could she ever abandon her.
“I-,” Paige sighs. “I promised I’d meet up with this new trainer, I can’t bail.”
“Mmh,” Lana rubs her entire face against Paige’s chest, eyes flickering open slowly.
“You want me to order you somethin’ to eat?”
The girl grimaces at the thought, shaking her head.
“Then whatchu want, princess?”
“You. Not going,” Lana groans, plump lips melting into a pout. It tugs at each and every fibre Paige has in her body. Her pain is both of theirs. Her sorrow, her sadness. It kills her the same, if not worse. Yet deep down a sinful pleasure simmers quietly. A sense of victory. Lana needs her. Truly. So deep it has the girl begging. The one that would usually be so cold and unbothered by everything so disturbed by the concept of being left alone for a couple hours.
“Okay,” Paige sighs, kissing the top of the girl’s head. She smells like cigarette smoke. “Lemme make a deal with you.”
“No deal. You stay.”
“Listen,” Paige nearly chuckles, stroking a strand of hair off the girl’s face. “I’ma stay until you fall asleep and then I’ll be gone for a couple hours and then when you wake up, boom, I’ll be here.”
“Boom?” Lana furrows her brows, eyeing the blonde suspiciously.
“Yes, boom. Like that.” Paige smiles, feeling proud of coming up with this.
“I don’t like boom.”
“Okay, scratch boom,” the blonde murmurs. “That sound alright to you?”
“What if I wake up?” Lana hesitates, a genuine tremble to her voice.
“I’ll be back before you can,” Paige hums, knowing that once the girl fell asleep it would take a war to wake her. “You know I got you.”
This seems to ease Lana, who slowly begins to nod, scooching over to make space. Paige lies down beside her in her tracksuit, wrapping an arm around the girl’s small frame. It takes only a few minutes of silence and back scratches and Paige’s scent in her nostrils for the pain to subside, taken over by sleep. She drools all over the blonde’s hoodie, still gripping her just as tight as she did when she was awake.
Paige could go now, but she lingers despite knowing she’ll be late if she stays a minute longer. She doesn’t only bask in it for one but five. Listening to her light snoring, feeling the bumps along her spine and counting them repeatedly. She memorises it all, the curve of her small nose, the arch of her cupid’s bow meeting her pink lips. The pink flush over her cheeks, the leftover mascara still on her lashes from the night before. It would be so much easier to stay, to close her eyes too and pull her closer. To breathe the same air forever till cobwebs and cockroaches crawl all over them and they’re nothing but bone. She would be delighted if that was the rest of her life. It has all happened unbelievingly fast but Paige would rather die than never feel anything like this again.
It takes all her restraint to leave Lana all on her own.

Many mornings go like this. Late nights leaving Lana immobilized in Paige’s bed while the blonde gets ready to go somewhere, whether a meeting, practice, whatever. One thing never changes, Paige waits each time for the girl to fall asleep before disappearing. It had become such a habit that she had started to make unnecessary noise just to hear the sleeping girl stirring awake. Maybe it’s selfish, but she could not face the day without those fleeting moments of Lana so soft and vulnerable. Needing her so bad it ached in her bones.
Paige had found comfort in this new routine of no routine at all. Of doing whatever she pleased whenever she wanted. Sure, there was still practice and church and hitting the weightroom. But other than that she let herself just be. And that was all she needed with Lana. It had been only two weeks since Grace walked out of this dull house. The moment Lana stepped in it burst to life. Suddenly there was warmth and laughter and drunk sex against curtainless windows and not eating till late in the afternoon. The sun beamed warmer than ever, though it was the cusp of October already.
In just these short weeks, Lana had woven herself into the fabric of Paige’s life. Countless emails and messages were left unopened, responsibilities forgotten. For 15 years Paige had been working and working till her entire identity was nothing but work. It was enough. She deserved, and needed, this moment of utter freedom. Still the dread at the pit of her stomach ate her away, the knowledge in her subconscious, Johnny’s words. She comes down as quickly as she goes up. But God, maybe if she did this just right, she could make it last. Turns out she needs Lana just as bad, if not more.
This morning had become her favourite kind. It is nice and slow, Lana scrolling on her phone and giggling at TikTok, wearing Paige’s shirt and eating ice cream for breakfast. The bed is enormous, yet they take up only a quarter of it, tangled up in each other. The girl’s clothes have taken over the floor, her dishes all over the bedside table that used to be neatly organised. Paige doesn’t mind. She would become a personal slave to her if it meant having her this way.
Paige had only been consumed by this twice before - and it was by God and basketball.
Lana flicks the lighter, small flame coming alive with it. There’s gurgling as thick smoke gathers in the chamber. With a deep inhale she takes a deep pull, holding it deep in her lungs until small coughs erupt from her. With it so does the smoke, settling around them until there’s nothing left but the smell. Not even the window left ajar is enough to get rid of it.
“You good?” Paige chuckles, watching the girl folded in half, still coughing. As she rises she’s like a vision, eyes red and watering already. The blonde can barely look elsewhere.
“I’m fine,” she rasps out, handing her the bong and the lighter. “Your turn Paige Bueckers.”
Paige places it on the hardwood beside the bed, pushing her glasses up as she comes up.
“I will in a bit,” she murmurs, shutting the bible carefully on her lap. “Not when I’m doing this.”
Lana rolls her eyes. “What, it says you’re not allowed to hit a bong while praying?”
Letting the comment roll off her back, the blonde smiles warmly. She knows God forgives Lana, and Paige would spend her life asking for forgiveness. “I’m not praying. Just studying.”
“Is there a test?”
“C’mere, I’m reading Romans.”
Lana, unable to resist the warm spot that smells like cologne and Paige, rolls over without hesitation. She molds herself against the blonde, watching as she flips over the pages of a bunch of small, plentiful text. Nothing she could be bothered to care about. Yet she doesn’t move. It feels too good to be beside her this way.
Paige’s lips press closer to her ear as she reads quietly, softly enough for Lana to have to really focus on the words to make sense of them.
“I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do - this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.”
To her scrambled, tired brain the words sound like gibberish, no matter the messenger. As much as Lana tries, she can’t pick up the thread of ideas. Instead her mouth opens in a long yawn as she wraps her leg around Paige.
“What does that even mean?”
The blonde’s lips press tenderly into her temple.
“You’re a smart girl. What do you think it means?”
Something about the purr of the blonde’s voice vibrates through Lana. It settles in her cells making her desperate - for what, she doesn’t know. To please her? Surely not. Lana’s not eager to please anybody but herself. Yet her eyes flicker back and forth taking in the highlighted part of the thin page. Her face softens, like she’s on the cusp of something profound - but then hardens again as she struggles to keep interest.
“I don’t know, that sin is bad? What else.”
Paige chuckles, turning the other way to scribble something into a thick notebook lying by her side.
“Paige?”
“Yeah?”
“Do you think people who don’t believe in God go to hell?”
Paige shifts under Lana’s grip, turning back to the girl.
“I don’t know, I don’t know if I believe in hell.”
“But people who don’t believe - they would be punished in some way, yes?”
The blonde shrugs, unsure how to answer. “I guess, I mean, maybe. I think God is more forgiving than we think. But there has to be some sort of consequences for not believing.”
“So by that logic, people who don’t know about God also get punished?”
Paige blinks, shaking her head. “No, that’s not on them.”
“So if I don’t know all these things about God and your religion, I wouldn’t be punished?”
“No.”
“Then why would you tell me?”
Opening her mouth Paige tries to speak, but not a word comes out. For once she doesn’t have an answer. The girl goes quiet.
“Maybe because I care about you.”
“That doesn’t give me an answer.”
Paige sighs. “I just want you to have what I have.”
The two stare at each other, knowing it was either a cusp of a revelation or a fight that they were on. Thankfully, Paige turns around and begins writing in her notebook again. Lana, easily distracted and endlessly curious, leans over to catch a peek.
“What is that?”
“Uh, it’s just where I write stuff,” Paige murmurs, her shoulder covering the page. Suddenly, Lana reaches over to grab it - but not before the blonde can shut it and tug it under her pillow.
“Hey!” Lana whines. “I want to see it.”
“No chance,” the blonde argues, pushing the girl off. Lana climbs on top, straddling Paige. Her hands try to dig into the pillow but it’s no use. Her hands are already being pulled behind her back, wrists held together tightly.
“I know you can’t spell. I won’t make fun,” Lana pleads, tilting her head.
“Shut up,” Paige chuckles, peppering her cheek with kisses.
“It is your diary? Where you write about boys and fights with your dad?”
Paige snorts, letting the girl’s hands loose. “I definitely don’t write about boys.”
“So it is a diary,” Lana laughs, poking at the blonde’s sides. Paige covers her face with her hand, doing her best not to let the embarrassed blush show through.
“Of course you have a diary. You Americans are so emotional.”
Paige raises her eyebrows, grabbing Lana’s cheeks in one hand and squeezing. She presses her lips into Lana’s, leaving them glistening. “I think I remember you crying last night.”
Lana’s eyes sharpen, the amusement disappearing with the memory - Paige’s tongue deep inside her, cerulean gaze watching her every move. Taking note of the tears that rolled down her cheeks.
“Not the same thing.”
“I think I could make you emotional now, huh?” The blonde teases, wrapping a hand around Lana’s waist just for it to come down on her bare ass. She squeezes the soft skin where a bruise is already forming.
“Stop, please,” Lana jumps, knowing it will prompt the blonde to do the opposite.
Suddenly the mattress shifts, pressing into the girl’s back as Paige rolls her over. She pins the girl down, using both her legs that land on Lana’s thighs. They spread wide open in response, the blonde enjoying the view as she sits up on her knees, letting them lock Lana in place. Paige grabs the bong, never breaking eye contact with the girl underneath. She breathes in the thick fog, letting it itch in her throat. The relief she feels is nearly instant, a softening in her shoulders. Whatever need there was before to touch the girl suddenly triples.
“Fuck,” Paige hisses, pulling Lana’s T-shirt up. Her eyes roam across Lana’s torso, her bare breasts, pale stomach. “I’m getting nothin’ done with you around.”
The blonde crashes down, mouth wide open as it travels across the girl’s jaw. She giggles in response, kicking her legs free of the duvet until Paige’s worn bible hits the floor with a loud thump. The two are too gone to care or notice. Yet the words echo across Paige’s head, even as Lana whimpers in her ear.
So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.

Paige used to be the kind of neighbour everyone loved. She would help the lady upstairs with her grocery bags, keep the door open to the elderly couple living below her. The smiles that used to be warm, the “how are you”s exchanged in the stairwell have slowly frozen over. Now she would get awkward hellos at most, strange looks especially when Lana was wrapped around her arm. Paige knows why, she knows how it looked, what kind of sounds came from their bed, the couch, the shower - she had stopped being a mindful neighbour a while ago.
Which is why she doesn’t care that it’s past 3AM. She dribbles the basketball against the hardwood, nervously staring at the clock on the wall. The ball bounces up and down, yet it doesn’t ease the numbing ache across her chest. Three in the morning - no call, no text, nothing. Just her turbulent brain imagining the worst.
With each bounce images flash through her mind, all worse than the one before. Tens of pairs of eyes following Lana’s every move. Paige can’t believe she let her out in that set - the white frilly skirt that made her look like she was begging to be ruined.
Paige dribbles again. She thinks of her spinning around the pole, long hair swaying golden and brown. Some guy with money leaning forward, waving cash around. She goes where the money goes. She sees it far too well, Lana and him walking to the private room. Lana offering him a drink, crawling on the floor like she did for her. His hands on on her ass, undressing her bra. Lana giving him the same, all too familiar, rundown - leading him to the motel. The man pushing himself inside her. Lana feeling it, all of it, moaning just for show. Making him think he’s the best she’s ever had. Paige desperately taps on her phone. A million notifications, not any from her.
When u coming home?
Answer
Shit ain’t funny
Nauseated, Paige sits down. The ball steadies in her hands as she fights back the squeezing feeling in her throat, the saliva gathering at her mouth. It takes everything in her not to spam heinous words at her, or to get up and drive to the club. Her hands are already inching closer to the keys lying on the coffee table. The images evolve as minutes go by, turning into something much more gruesome and violent. Blood and gore filled flashes. Just a constant, eternal nightmare Paige can’t escape from.
Why the fuck hasn’t she called? Who does she think she is? She stares at the keys in the dark. The lights would have made it worse, more real. In a fit of anger, the blonde begins to clean. Mostly Lana’s things scattered around the apartment. God, she made such a mess. Tens of heels, makeup left lying around. Strip lashes. Even in her rage she handles her things gently, folding clothes neatly into the laundry basket, cleaning the smudged bottle of foundation, sharpening her lipliners. She knows it’s just work. That Lana didn’t want to be saved from it, that driving across town just for her might push her away completely.
3:47AM the door opens.
The speed at which Paige hurries to the sound is embarrassing. But the relief she needs seeing the girl, safe and sound, is so ecstatic she would do it over and over. All the anger just slides off her, melting into a puddle on the floor.
“Why aren’t you sleeping?” Lana’s brows furrow, oblivious to the anguish Paige had been going through for hours. Before she knows it, Paige is crashing into her. She stumbles backwards, back slamming into the door as the blonde wraps herself around the girl, pressing so close it’s as if she’s attempting to melt into one being.
“It’s so fucking late,” Paige tries to sound angry, but she can’t. Her words are weak and frantic, hands grabbing her even closer.
“I know,” Lana groans, distracted by her exhaustion. “Lexi had this difficult guy, he was acting creepy - Oh my God, Paige, I can’t breathe.”
“Are you okay?” The blonde asks, pulling back only to hold her precious face in her hands. Finally she finds her gaze, proof of her existence bringing her such relief she feels it running through her veins like a drug.
“Don’t be silly,” Lana rolls her eyes, still letting the blonde hold her this way anyway. “I see you missed me?”
“So fucking bad,” Paige pulls her back in, hand coming over her head as she encapsulates the smaller girl. At last her nose buries into the golden brown hair that smells like cigarettes and Lana and - something else. Cologne. Not hers. A stranger’s.
“I need to shower.”
Lana murmurs as if sensing the shift, pushing past the blonde. She leaves Paige behind, still smelling the strange musk. All her worst fears are bubbling to life. She wants to get angry, to scream and yell and tell Lana she needs to put an end to it. But Paige knows that it would cause losing everything she ever wanted if these words came from her. And Lana was all she wanted at this point, she would give up anything - her dignity, even for herself, for Lana.. They had a deal. They could be together and play house, as long as Paige looked away in those moments where Lana had a job to do. This was one of those moments. Paige just never thought that it could possibly be this fucking hard.
“Wait,” she murmurs weakly. At last, Paige follows after the girl, watching from the doorway as she undresses. She lets her clothes scatter the bathroom floor, not bothering to place them in the hamper in the corner.
“What?” The girl says, unaware of her tone as she pulls down her panties.
“You miss me?”
Paige’s words are desperate, whiny in a way that causes Lana’s eyes to flicker back up. She finally takes it in, the state of the blonde standing in the doorway.
“It was just a few hours,” the girl murmurs, turning to face her. For a moment she pauses, averting her gaze when her mouth opens. “I did.”
She has no idea if it’s true or not. Yet the relief is a sickening thing. Paige needs the reassurance.
Lana turns to let the warm water run down into the tub. It quickly fills the bottom, steam filling the large, echoing room. Paige does the rest. She pours in soap, bubbles beginning to form mountains of cotton over the water. There’s oil and salt, everything to make it perfect.
“Lana?” Paige asks carefully, kneeling by the porcelain tub. The girl’s foot breaks the surface of the water, slipping into the water.
“Yes Paige?” Lana’s voice is hoarse and tired. She hisses at the heat before lowering herself into the bath.
“Let me wash you,” the blonde murmurs, staring at her naked figure.
Lana blinks slowly, letting the foam settle around her. To Paige’s disappointment, it covers her round butt, and with it her breasts.
“Aren’t you tired?” Lana hums, melting into the tub. “I know I am.”
“You’re more tired than me. Let me help,” Paige pleads, reaching for a wash cloth. Lana lets her, lying there in a complete state of relaxation. Something she was rarely allowed.
It’s like a ritual. Some sort of ancient rite as the blonde brings warm water to the top of her head and lets it drip down. She can’t help but visualise the pure water washing off the sins of her night. No matter what she did, Paige could make her pure. Could find purity in her, the one she knew existed. She thinks back to the passage from days before. How Lana could find a way out of all of this sin. How Paige could be the answer.
“This is nice,” Lana suddenly murmurs. Paige is on the wet floor, not minding the way her sweatpants are getting wet. She scrubs every part to the tip of her fingers.
“Good,” the blonde whispers. “Work was fine?”
“Yes.” She doesn’t say more. Paige doesn’t ask either. They both know it’s best.
“My dad called me today,” Paige says, her hands massaging along Lana’s arms.
“He wants me to fly over in a few weeks.”
There’s no answer, just the girl’s limp head resting on the porcelain, wide brown eyes gazing upwards.
“He wants me to go home for my birthday.”
“When is your birthday?” Lana suddenly asks. Paige feels such ridiculous victory it causes her to shudder.
“October 20th.”
Lana nods. “Mine is-”
“- June 3rd. You told me.”
“Oh,” the girl mumbles, shifting a little as the blonde’s hands move to her tired calves buried in the water. “You told me before?”
Paige shrugs it off. “It’s hard to remember.”
Lana’s face turns to a slight pout, lifting from her restful position.
“You will be with your family?”
“I told my dad that me and Grace are done,” she murmurs, letting the warm water soak her arms as they scrub across Lana’s thighs. “And maybe, I dunno. You could come with me?”
Lana’s rested eyes open wider, face blank as stone. She goes quiet, the sound of water dripping over the edges echoing across the wall. Paige’s stomach drops.
“I have work,” Lana states bluntly, voice becoming unreadably cold. Paige stops washing her, long fingers breaking the surface of the water.
“I just think that you work so much,” the blonde sighs. “I don’t want you to worry about rent or money or nothin’.”
Lana scoffs, rising enough so her chest sits above the foam. It’s distracting in the worst way, taking great effort for Paige’s eyes to avert their gaze.
“Beautiful idea. Just stop worrying about money. Paige Bueckers you have no idea what it’s like to really-”
“Shut up and let me finish,” the blonde interrupts. “I’m not done.”
Lana opens her mouth to argue, but swallows her sharp tongue threatening to dart out. Avoiding eye contact, as she did whenever she was irritated, she slumps back down in the tub.
“I got you a credit card,” Paige murmurs. It takes a second for the words to hit Lana’s ears, doe eyes flickering over. “The bill comes straight to me. I don’t want you worryin’.”
The girl suspiciously eyes the taller girl, who sits there playing with the mountains of foam.
“What do you want in return?”
The blonde exhales sharply. “What do you think Lana? Nothin’. I just wanna take care of you.”
Lana’s eyes flicker away, shifting in the water again. The waves spill over onto the floor, the girl’s breasts exposed again. Paige has to move her gaze too, opting out for the water running across the floor.
“I stopped,” Lana murmurs.
Paige’s brows furrow. “Stopped what?”
The girl rolls her eyes. Suddenly struggling to find the words in this strange language.
“Having sex with clients. I know you worry about that, Paige.”
The blonde pauses. The words take their time to make sense in her tired brain. When they do substantial relief swoops over the insecurity that had been gnawing for hours. The cologne, the unsent texts, the hours spent waiting - all forgotten at once.
“Then why go in at all?” Paige questions.
“It’s my job Paige. I happen to love it,” Lana says. “What did you think, that I would play some stay-at-home wifey for you?”
“No, Ion need that,” the blonde argues, though her tone stays soft to keep the peace. “But there’s gotta be something else you wanna do. Like a passion or something.”
“It’s just work,” Lana spits back, her words easily sharpened. “Like your games.”
Paige can feel it, her own nerves spiking too. It’s baffling that Lana would think that it’s the same - working as a dancer and dedicating your whole life to one thing. Basketball is Paige’s purpose, her entirety, something her life revolved around forever.
“It’s not just work,” she pushes back. “It’s everything.”
“And you think that’s healthy? To give just one thing so much power over your life?”
Paige quiets. Maybe Lana’s right. But the reality of that would deem her entire life meaningless. Basketball had always been the way, it was all she knew.
Lana sinks deeper into the tub, thigh brushing against Paige’s fingers, hair floating into the foam. Her cheeks begin to turn red from the heat.
“I don’t want that. Ever.”
A silence falls, one Paige doesn’t dare break for fear of causing an argument. The irritation shoots out of her spine, making her tense and hard to the touch. In the stillness, she resumes washing the girl in the tub. How could she get it so wrong? Why couldn’t Lana just see what Paige could? Does that ridiculous attitude mean that Paige would never be the one thing in Lana’s life? Lana could easily be it for Paige, she thinks. She knows.
The blonde slows, gliding her hands along Lana’s small feet, her bony ankles. The girl is tense too, Paige can tell from the way her brows sit just a little too low on her face. Despite being so close, the blonde feels miles away from her.
A terrible fear trickles into every corner of her existence. This, whatever this was, would be so easy to mess up. Lana was like a wild bird on the cusp of flying away. One wrong move and she might flutter her wings and fly from Paige’s reach. She wishes she could express this, to tell that she’s scared and to hear words that calm her. But she knows Lana doesn’t have them, or if she does they’re not for Paige. Not yet anyway.
Paige’s stomach jolts. She needs to feel her, to know she’s still the only one. She rubs up and down the skin of Lana’s thigh, feeling goosebumps rise even under the surface. Lana shifts quietly, causing her breasts to pop out of the water, covered in foam. Paige doesn’t know if the girl knows what she’s doing, but every little breath seemed to seduce the blonde more. Gently, she slides her fingers to the girl’s inner thigh. Lana’s already spreading her legs apart, just a little. Enough for Paige to know she wants it too. The only reassurance Lana is capable of.
Dragging her fingers upwards, she draws patterns on the warm, translucent skin right below her center. The heavy exhale Lana breathes out causes Paige’s eyes to rise. Lana’s already looking back, lips parted just slightly.
Wordlessly, Paige brings her fingers to the soft skin surrounding her core. She brushes along the sides, above her clit, everywhere that’s almost but not quite reaching the budding need in her. Lana’s brows furrow in desperation, shifting her legs enough to spread herself apart. Paige can imagine the sight underwater, her on full display.
Under the foam, Lana’s folds are uncharacteristically warm to the touch, soaked by something other than water. The girl inhales sharply, darting a tongue over her lower lip. Paige gathers the wetness, fingertip running along her entrance before coming up and finding the sensitive bud, already swelling.
There’s a whimper, and a lulling of Lana’s head when Paige makes contact. Instinctively, the blonde is already catching her, other hand coming over to support the back of her head. She needs those eyes to be looking at her. She’s so wet, and so responsive.
Lana sits up further, knees coming out of the water as she folds them. Her chest rises with each laboured breath as Paige’s hand works on her gentle and soft - in the way only she could. Her long digits rub gentle circles against her folds.
“Paige,” Lana moans gently, the sound echoing around the quiet room.
“Mhm,” she murmurs in response. The sounds she makes are reassurance enough. Paige knows it’s only her that can have her like this. For now, that’s enough.
She picks up speed, rubbing Lana’s pussy from side to side without feeling a strain. She had always been good at pushing herself past the point of her body giving out. She could do this forever and never tire out. Especially with the girl moaning this way.
Paige lets Lana’s head lull back, letting go and sliding the free hand to her breast. Her nipples are pink and already hard, pressing into the blonde’s fingers that flick them. Suddenly desperate, Lana’s hands wrap around the porcelain, gripping the sides so hard her knuckles turn white. Even under water Paige can see the tremble beginning to grow in her soft thighs, threatening to shut.
“Keep em open,” Paige says softly but authoritatively enough. With a struggle, the girl spreads them apart, unable to fight the way her limbs shake.
“I know,” the blonde coos, never slowing the way her fingers press flat against Lana’s clit. “It’s hard huh?”
Lana only nods, eyes shutting in pleasure so complete it leaves her soundless. Her mouth is wide open, back arching as she rests her head on the porcelain. She’s covered in foam and water, skin wet and glistening as her hand looks for anything to hold onto. Without thinking, Paige’s fingers wrap around hers, squeezing tight. Lana squeezes back, bucking her hips desperately. It all unfolds in a matter of minutes.
“Right there mama?” Paige whispers, hearing her breath hitch as her movements turn sloppy and faster. The girl only nods in response. Her entire body trembles, lips hanging open against her own shoulder.
The blonde doesn’t dare stop, doing it just like that against her soaked folds until high pitched moans begin to come out of her. Lana’s body contorts underwater, grip tightening on Paige - she doesn’t need to say it, the blonde already knows she’s coming for her. She can only watch, and relish in the fact that this Lana was only for her, and she would kill anyone who got to have her like this.
-
“Oh my God, is that Paige Bueckers?”
The first time Lana hears those words she has to stop in her tracks. Not because it’s bad, but because it’s new. For Lana the performance started and ended with the club. She had only seen now how for the blonde it was constant. An eternal game played by herself and the audience that was the entire world. When Lana wasn’t at the club she could be whoever she wanted, act how she liked. Not Paige. To her the show was always on. And by association Lana would be part of it too. A pointless side character in a multimillion production.
“Those women are looking at you,” Lana whispers, arms crossed across her chest as she stands the appropriate three feet away from the blonde. See, Lana had to think of these things now. How things appeared to the neverending watchers.
“Yeah? Which ones?”
Four women around their age stand in a semi-circle, giggling and blushing over the tall blonde. This is why they avoided the outdoors. Paige’s apartment and the club were the only places no performance was demanded of the two of them. If Lana felt like a circus animal on stage, she couldn’t have imagined how it was for the blonde. For the first time in a long time a strange feeling bubbles within her - empathy.
“They’re coming over,” Lana tenses up, turning away to look over the counter. No sign of the waiter. They had been waiting for half an hour it seemed.
“Just be chill,” Paige murmurs. “Actually, don’t talk.”
The girl wants to snap back, to say something just as sharp and cruel. But the women are already there, giddy like high school girls. It seemed every woman looked at Paige this way, even the ones that didn’t know who she was. Lana wasn’t sure why it bothered her so much.
“Hi, sorry to bother y’all but like, we love you,” the woman in the middle beams, all teeth and joy. A red blush sets deep in her cheeks. Her eyes sparkle as she looks up at the blonde, until it’s too much and she has to look away. Close up all the women are quite beautiful. Very beautiful, actually.
“Oh, thank you,” Paige smiles back with such charm it makes the women giggle. Lana can’t help turning away just to roll her eyes. “Love the accent, you from Dallas?”
An unfamiliar weight settles in Lana’s stomach, listening to the ease with which the words come to the blonde. The teasing tone that she thought was preserved just for her.
“Guilty!” The woman laughs. “But you fit in real well.”
“Nah, I’m not wearing my boots today.”
The girls laugh. Lana doesn’t dare to look at them, imagining the satisfied grins on their faces. Or Paige eyeing them up and down hungrily. Was she like this with all of them? Or just the pretty ones? Lana isn’t sure which one is worse. Suddenly she’s stepping further, self-conscious over each inch between her and the blonde.
“You still look good tho.”
Paige chuckles dryly. It seems like Lana is completely forgotten, left by the sidelines to fetch food. Her chest feels tight for no reason at all. At last the waiter comes out, a boy in his early 20s carrying a bag of barbecue.
“Sorry it took so long,” he smiles, handing the paper bag over. He’s cute. Cute enough at least.
“Oh, it’s okay,” Lana giggles, purposely leaning over the counter in her low cut top. A sense of victory rushes through when he feels the guy’s eyes flicker to her cleavage. “You like the ribs, yes?”
Somewhere by her side, Paige is taking pictures with the girls. Making them laugh. Entertaining them. Lana can’t bear to listen anymore, anger tightening in her shoulders.
“Yeah,” the guy nods. “They’re fire.”
“Mhmm,” Lana purrs, tilting her head. “I love them but I always make such a big mess eating them.”
The words come out like silk, soft and smooth and filthy despite their meaning. The guy blushes, shifting on his feet. He can’t handle her, Lana would eat him in her sleep. It’s exactly the kind of thing she needs right now.
“Uhm, you need more tissues?” He mumbles, voice trembling slightly. Poor guy.
Just as Lana is about to respond there’s a clearing of a throat and a sharp push to her hip. Paige, impatient and suspicious, stands there with the women gone.
“We ready to go?”
She’s not mad enough, not to Lana’s liking. In a fit of rage, Lana grabs one of the tissues tapping the counter impatiently. Her eyes remain on the blue ones staring down at her.
“You don’t have a pen?”
At once the boy is handing over one, Lana scribbling on the tissue for a while before giving it to the guy. The Lonestar, it says. Her eyes never leave Paige. The guy folds it, putting it in his pocket.
“You should come sometime. I’ll make sure you have a good time, personally.”
Paige is left staring, holding the bag of food shoved into her hands. Lana walks out with a swing to her hips, the kind that made everyone’s eyes follow after her. Suddenly furious, the blonde follows after, mouth zipped shut tight even as she reaches the car. She doesn’t bother opening the door for Lana, not this time.
“What the fuck was that?” Paige hisses coldly after driving in silence for a good five minutes.
“What?” Lana asks, pretending oblivion over her anger. The frustration she felt over the way Paige talked to those women begins to dissolve underneath the sweet taste of victory. She would always win these games, the blonde had no chance.
“You know what,” her voice is stern, hands wrapping around the wheel tightly.
“I was just having a little fun,” Lana rolls her eyes, shifting to lean away from the blonde. “I’m not allowed to have fun anymore?”
Paige scoffs, leaning back in her seat. “Looked like a lil more than fun.”
“Whatever,” Lana crosses her arms, turning her face to stare out of the window. As if Dallas had become more interesting in the past hour. It was the same dull roads and the same dull people.
They drive in an unbearable silence, the tension building inside Paige as she replays it in her head. The view of Lana leaning over, batting her pretty eyes up at somebody else, a man. It takes everything not to turn the car around and kill that guy for even looking, let alone accepting the napkin. Like he could handle someone as infuriating, as selfish, as big of a pain as Lana.
“You didn’t have to do all that,” Paige hisses, speeding just to let go of her frustrations. It doesn’t help. They immediately run into a red light, coming to a halt abruptly.
Lana glances at her, watching the blonde’s jaw sharpen as her teeth grind together. Paige was losing. Good.
“Is this because he was a man?” She asks, feigning innocence.
Paige sits up, suddenly heated. Her eyes flick to the girl in the passenger seat, wide and in flames. “What? What that got to do with anything?!”
“The light is green,” Lana huffs. The car speeds again.
“Seriously Paige. I’m not gay. I’m not going to just give up men.”
Another red light. This time Paige considers ignoring it. Yet they stop. The words hang heavy, carving themselves into Paige’s very bone. The ridiculousness of the statement only makes her more frustrated. So much that she doesn’t know what to say, mouth left hung open in all the ridiculousness.
Not gay. A tale she’s heard a thousand times. Yet this time it stings in a spot so deep Paige doesn’t know what to do with it.
A quiet smile grows on Lana’s face. One she hides by turning away.
“What did you think? That just because I spend time with you I’m turning lesbian?”
Paige’s mouth opens to speak, but not before a scoff comes out, loud and heavy. “I think we’re doing a lil more than spending time together.”
“I might like you. But that doesn’t make me gay,” Lana spews. “A woman can not replace a man. Not even you Paige Bueckers.”
“What’s that supposed to mean? Ion fuck you good enough?”
Lana chuckles, chewing on the gum with loud pops coming from her mouth. “A woman can’t fuck another woman. You need a dick for that.”
“Oh yeah? Then what have we been doing?”
“Don’t be so sensitive,” the girl waves off, signalling the end of the conversation. “It’s just a fact, baby.”
Paige is about to respond but Lana has already moved on, gripping onto her phone and texting with such rapid speed Paige knows she’s unreachable now.
-
After strange weeks of rain in Dallas, the sun has emerged. Technically the sun was out so much it was impossible to miss, but Paige had become so acquainted with it that having to be without it left her suddenly longing for sunny weather. She didn’t want to miss the rays and the warmth soaking into her skin. She had been feeling cold lately.
Now it was impossible, dribbling the basketball between her legs before shooting it from the other side of the ridiculously small outdoor court Arike had installed in her backyard. She would usually always hit these. But the ball hits the rim and ricochets straight into Zaza’s hands. Sweat trickles down her back, staining the grey T-shirt.
“You owe me,” she laughs, bouncing the ball against the ground. “Gimme my cash.”
“Bro no way, that didn’t count,” Paige argues, catching Arike’s pass and setting her feet on the line. “If I get this you’re not getting nothin’.”
“Yo, that wasn’t the deal,” Zaza fights but Paige lets it fly anyway. This time it doesn’t even hit the rim, airballing completely. Arike and Zaza laugh in union.
But the blonde’s stomach drops. All distractions were just feeble attempts to hide the furious storm brewing in her head. She had lost games, missed throws that had to go in, fought her way back from hell - nothing compared to the fury she felt now. She was surely being tested, her short temper being put through torture out of God’s will. Paige always had something to say, but since the conversation in the car she had found herself speechless. For two days they had barely spoken, barely seen each other. The only times being when they spent nights together - not cuddling, not even making love. She hadn’t kissed Lana for two entire days.
“Get your wallet while I tell you about this girl,” Zaza grins, rubbing her hands together. The words blur into the background, some dirty details about someone the girl was seeing. Paige can’t bear to hear it, walking to her gym bag.
Not even this time spent out of her apartment is helping. Her mind plays over Lana’s words over and over. She could never replace a man. A woman could never - not even Paige Bueckers.
She counts through cash, only to realise she’s short 200 dollars. Money she was certain she had on her.
“- and then like, she was lowkey doing a handstand. I’m not even joking, this girl was on the ground with her ass up.”
“You’re lying,” Arike laughs, palming the ball.
“I’m not bro, believe me,” Zaza continues. Paige digs through her bag, searching each pocket. It’s gone.
“Za?” Paige mumbles, staring into her half empty wallet.
“Yeah?”
“Can I just send it to you?”
Arike chuckles, raising her brows. “What, you ran out?”
“Nah, I just thought I had more on me,” Paige chuckles, trying to play it cool.
“She been to The Lonestar too much,” Zaza laughs, shooting the girl beside her a look. A panic jolts to Paige’s stomach.
“What?”
“Nun,” Arike shakes it off, passing the ball to the blonde. “You seen anybody since Grace? I feel like you just disappeared on us.”
“Oh uh,” Paige swallows, avoiding eye contact. Shame heats up in her ears. “Nah, just been home and partying. You know, been outside.”
“Za told me about your lil night,” Arike grins.
“Oh yeah? She had fun for sure,” Paige laughs it off, nodding towards Zaza. Lana had told her that she had spent the night together with the new girl. Fuck, everything was Lana. Lana, Lana, Lana. How could she be so dumb and so wrong? Paige could be anything a man can - she could be more.
“Just me? That lil one was all over you,” Zaza snorts. “You should hit that. She was sexy.”
The words sting somewhere deep inside. She hates it, the idea that Lana is just as earth-shattering to everyone else as she was to her. The sting flares into anger concerningly quickly.
“I’ll see,” Paige snaps, grabbing her phone. She tries to understand, tries to remember how it felt believing all she needed was a man too. But those times are long gone, Paige could see the truth now. Lana thinks she needs a man to be happy? Then Paige will be better than a man. The girl didn’t need a man. She had seen it before, the way Lana submitted to Paige’s will. Only to her.
That was the proof, right?
The only place she wasn’t in control was when she was underneath Paige taking whatever she was given. That was Paige’s homecourt. It’s where she couldn’t lose, where she never failed, where everything went her way. The proof of it was Lana’s moans still ringing in her ears, the way her body went limp for her to move and maneuver. Lana had to be reminded.
“I gotta go,” the blonde suddenly lets go of the ball, letting it roll away from her.
“Bro what?”
“Weren’t we gonna get food?” Za asks.
“Sorry guys, another day.”
Paige is not sure how she gets home, she’s not even quite certain that Lana will be there. But God she needed to be. The comments repeat over and over. I’m not gay.
How could she be so stupid? So ignorant to something that was right there.
The relief doesn’t cause the frustration to subside in Paige when she sees Lana’s shoes scattered by the door. Her bag lies there too, untouched and left uncared for. Usually Paige would hang it up. Not this time. She’s kicking off her sneakers, rushing inside. In the corner of the couch, Lana is curled up in tiny shorts and a bra, enjoying the AC to its full extent, scrolling lazily on her phone.
“Oh, hel-”
Her words are stopped with Paige’s lips attacking hers. There’s force behind it like a thunderstorm that’s been brewing for weeks - tongue coming out and crashing into Lana’s mouth. The girl’s eyes are wide open, yet she opens up willingly. Of course it does. She swallows Paige’s spit, hand falling somewhere between the couch cushions.
“Take your clothes off,” Paige groans as she pulls back, leaving them both panting.
“Wh-”
“Now. I’m not playing.”
“What are you talking about Paige Bueckers?”
Before she can fight it, Paige is hauling her into the bedroom. She throws the girl on the bed with a loud crash, mattress squeaking under her weight.
“Clothes off.”
Paige is already undressing, pulling off the sweaty T-shirt. The girl stares back, wide-eyed and suddenly flustered.
“What is this?” She asks, nearly amused. It seems to be the last straw for the blonde. She rushes over, grabbing her face with one hand. The smile drops immediately. Suddenly it’s obvious, the genuine anger flickering across Paige’s face. Her nerves jolt, and with it her abdomen. In a completely new revelation Lana finds herself aroused by this forcefulness, the uncertainty of what might happen.
“You’re gonna be a good girl and listen and maybe I’ll give you a reward, you got it?”
Lana exhales heavily, blinking fast as she processes everything that seems to move so fast her mind can barely keep up.
“You got it?”
“Yes,” she nods.
“Then why aren’t those clothes off?”
Lana kicks off the shorts quickly, pulling the lace bralette off her chest too. The moment her fingers hook under the band of her satin panties, Paige is slapping them off.
“Leave those on,” the blonde hisses, grinding her teeth together. Lana’s face burns red as she lies down in the soft sheets, crossing her legs together to relieve the burning ache that built between them far too quickly.
“No,” Paige forces them open, stomach jolting at the wet spot beginning to form against the light fabric. “Keep them open.”
“Mmh-”
“Don’t whine,” the blonde grunts. Lana’s chest heaves as she waits, watching her walk into the far corner to dig through a drawer she had never paid much attention to.
“What are you doing?” Lana’s growing more frustrated, running a restless hand across her stomach all the way to her chest.
“Don’t talk either,” Paige murmurs, pulling out something.
“Wh-”
“Only talk if I’m asking you somethin’ or if you’re saying the safeword. Got it?”
Lana’s mouth falls open, wetness pooling in her panties leaving her speechless. She watches the blonde’s back contracting and flexing as she tugs and pulls on something the girl can barely make out in the darkness.
“Got it?”
“Yes,” she breathes, bucking her hips in the air. “Paige.”
Finally the blonde turns around, a large, skin coloured strap-on resting at her hips. Lana’s first instinct is to laugh, but the giggle gets stuck in her throat the moment she sees it - Paige’s veiny hand wrapping around the silicone and stroking it. As if it’s an extension of herself. Suddenly nothing’s funny. In fact it’s very serious, just like the need beginning to ache inside Lana.
With slow steps Paige is walking over, kneeling by the end of the bed.
“You seriously wet already?”
With the words, Lana lets out a helpless squeal, being pulled by her legs to the edge too. Before she can answer, Paige’s mouth is nuzzling into her soaked panties. She can almost feel how warm and wet her mouth is through the sheer fabric - the almost driving her insane.
“Paige,” Lana complains, earning a light smack on her breast. She jumps from the contact, threatening to shut her legs. The blonde pries them open, dark eyes staring up from between her thighs.
“What did I say?” She pulls back. From the look on her face there’s no doubt. The blonde is serious as ever. “Shut up.”
Lana swallows her frustration, ignoring the whispers from her ego telling her to fight back. She’s rewarded immediately, Paige’s fingers press into the thin silk soaked and completely see-through. Suddenly, she’s tugging on the fabric harshly until it splits open from the middle. Lana doesn’t have the time to say a word, Paige’s tongue is already lapping her up desperately
A loud moan erupts from the girl, writhing against the soft fabric that sticks to her sweaty back. Paige’s mouth is buried deep in her folds, tongue running all over her pussy with so much force Lana can’t fight the tears that spill down her cheeks. She’s gasping, grabbing onto the sheets. It’s too much, the blonde’s mouth wrapping around her clit already. She squirms away but Paige pulls her back in with ease, strong arms wrapping around her thighs to keep her still
“Fuck you taste good,” Paige groans, pulling back to admire her. All of her. The glistening folds, the throbbing alongside her entrance. All perfect, all hers. Even if Lana didn’t know it yet.
“Look how wet you are,” the blonde coos, forcefully reaching over and bringing Lana’s hand down. She presses it into the girl’s folds, making her feel it. She’s dripping, enough for her to feel humiliated.
“Who gotchu this wet?”
Lana’s quiet, whimpering as she bucks her hips up for more.
“You want more?”
The girl nods, biting down on her swollen lips.
“Then tell me.”
“You,” she whispers, legs already trembling with the throbbing inside her.
“Yeah? Only me?”
“Paige,” Lana groans, bucking her hips up again. Paige forces them back down.
“Nuh-uh, this is for daddy, yeah?”
The girl whimpers, frustration so great she can feel wetness trickling out of her.
“So difficult for no reason,” Paige hisses, spreading Lana’s lips open. It makes it worse, being spread open this way, feeling the cool air blowing into her most sensitive parts. Lana’s abdomen throbs with each inhale.
“You want me to leave you like this?”
“No, no, no,” Lana suddenly pleads, more desperate than ever. Paige is winning and she’s barely begun.
“Then be a good girl and answer.”
“It’s for you daddy,” the girl cries, lower lip set in a deep pout. Those seem to be the magic words. Suddenly Paige is sticking her tongue out, letting warm spit spill down into Lana’s folds. Before she knows it, the blonde is leaning back down, slurping it back into her mouth.
“Oh shit,” Lana moans, eyes rolling back. It’s embarrassing how quickly her legs begin to tremble around Paige’s head, back arching desperately as Paige pins her hips down with such force it’s certain to leave bruises.
“You’re gonna cum already, huh?” Paige grins, rubbing her tongue from side to side along her folds. “Better not cum without asking me first.”
Lana wishes she could stop it, or hold it somewhere deep inside her like a secret. But it’s an involuntary thing, the way her body starts to writhe for the blonde. Her moans become breathless, muscles tensing as Paige eats her out with such precision it’s leaving her lightheaded.
“So easy for me,” the blonde murmurs, circling her clit. “Such a slut.”
“I need to-”
“No.”
“Please.”
The word is like velvet to Paige’s ears. Please. Lana begging her please.
“I need to cum, please.”
The blonde picks up with precision, keeping up with her movements until she feels the girl throbbing in her arms. She’s crying for it, pleads coming from her lips like prayers.
“Okay, baby, come on.”
As soon as the words hit, the orgasm rolls over. She’s trembling desperately, leaving a mess along Paige’s face. She doesn’t mind, keeping her still as she rides through the waves. At last, Lana quiets, shaking silently beneath her.
“Stop,” she whines, trying to kick her legs. Paige doesn’t care. Her tongue laps up the sensitive bud over and over.
“It’s too much,” Lana cries, thighs squeezing shut around the blonde’s face. At last Paige pulls back, wiping her soaked face across the girl’s skin. Even in the darkness, she can see the knotted hair, the deep blush on her cheeks.
“It’s too much?” Paige grunts, climbing up on the bed. She lifts the girl with her, bringing her head to the pillows.
“Mhm,” Lana pants, chest still heaving.
“I thought it wasn’t enough.”
The words come sharp and angry, resentment that had time to build for too long about to burst at the seams.
“Wh- What?”
“You said-” Paige groans, kicking Lana’s thighs open to make space for her inbetween. “- That no one can replace a man, huh?”
“What are you talking about?”
“In the car.”
Lana whimpers the moment she feels the hard silicone press into her inner thigh, a reminder of what was about to happen. Her breath hitches, glancing down. It’s big. Bigger than she’s used to.
“You said I can’t fuck you because Ion got a dick,” Paige hisses, the frustration so close to the surface she could barely contain it. Luckily she wasn’t planning to for very much longer.
Already out of breath, the blonde leans down, huffing into Lana’s ear. Reaching down, she rubs the tip along Lana’s cunt, letting her wetness coat it. The girl shudders, instinct taking over as her legs spread.
“Ion think that’s true.”
“No?” Lana asks weakly, breath trembling when she feels the tip circle her entrance. Suddenly she feels a vast emptiness deep inside her, crying to be filled.
“Nuh-uh,” Paige groans, turning her face. She tightens the harness one more time, aligning herself with Lana perfectly.
With a slow movement, the blonde pushes inside her. Lana’s face softens, her sharp eyes roll back, her mouth opens and she goes limp. Paige feels it just the same, groaning like she can sense her tightness, the slight resistance she’s forcing herself to break through.
“Oh my God,” Lana gasps, nails suddenly clasping around Paige’s muscular arm. The blonde slides in deeper, until she’s buried in completely.
“Yeah?” Paige asks, nuzzling her nose into the girl’s cheek. She’s trembling, a single leg wrapping around the blonde’s waist. “You good?”
Lana’s nodding, fighting to open her eyes. When she does, her pupils stare up dilated over her irises.
“You want me to stop?”
“God, no,” she breathes, glancing down where their bodies are connected.
“You want me to move?”
“Please.”
“Please what?”
“Please daddy.”
“Attagirl.”
Suddenly Paige pulls back all the way, the silicone glistening in the darkness. At last, she slams her hips down, forcing the strap back deep inside with a force that leaves Lana breathless.
“Oh, fuck,” she cries, Paige leaning against her arms as she thrusts in and out of Lana’s pussy. She’s tight and soaked, loud noises erupting each time she slips back in. It doesn’t take long for Paige’s thighs to be soaked too, wetness spilling out of Lana with each practiced stroke.
The blonde can feel the pleasure just as much. Heat spreads with each thrust, each time Lana’s breasts jiggle with their movements, each gasp she exhales, the way her face contorts. It doesn’t help that the strap presses directly onto Paige’s clit, causing her boxers to dampen in response.
“Yeah? You like that shit?” Paige grunts, other hand coming down to press against Lana’s hipbone. It makes it easier to keep the rhythm, to keep the squirming girl still against the mattress that burns against her knees.
“Yes, daddy,” Lana cries, yielding to every will in fear of Paige stopping.
“You love my dick?”
“Yes.”
“Tell me.”
“I love your dick.”
Paige growls, abs burning but her movements never halt. If anything they speed up, skin slapping together but she stays just as precise, as practiced, doing it the best she could - which was really damn good, Paige knew that herself. Rolling her hips so Lana can feel it everywhere, hopefully for days. If not, Paige would just do it over and over.
She pulls out, a disappointing emptiness leaving the girl underneath whining. Frustrated, the blonde digs through the sheets.
“Paige-”
“Where’s your phone?” the blonde hisses. At last she finds it, forcing it into Lana’s hands.
“Turn the flash on.”
“What?”
Paige, too frustrated for questions, sits up, landing a smack on Lana’s swollen folds. The girl jumps, hating how bad she enjoys the sting.
“I can’t see shit, it’s too dark. Turn it on.”
A sudden flash erupts from the phone, directed at Paige’s chest where beads of sweat trickle down into the fabric of her sports bra. The blonde reaches for Lana’s wrist, pointing it directly onto the piece of silicone on her hips. It’s soaked, resting against the girl’s stomach.
“Keep it there,” Paige groans, not giving a warning this time. She slams inside Lana, not allowing her time to adjust. Her hips pound into the girl, eyes locked on the spotlight shining down on them. She can see it all, the way Lana’s pussy spreads open for her, the skin wrapped around tightly to suck her in further. The gushing that emerges with each thrust. Suddenly the band in her stomach begins to tighten, seeing the way her dick slips in and out of her.
“Don’t stop, don’t stop.”
The words cause Paige’s eyes to flicker up, finding Lana’s shut tight as she’s lost in the euphoria of it all. The light shakes, not offering the steady spotlight Paige needs.
“Fuck- gimme that. Can’t even hold a damn phone,” the blonde grunts, ripping the device from her hands. Lana’s liberated by this, hands wrapping around the blonde as she scratches bright red marks along Paige’s back. It only encourages her, suddenly going deeper and faster.
Lana’s moans are deafening, murmurs of words that make no sense.
“Shit, look,” Paige groans, grabbing the girl’s head. Without her movements shifting, she forces Lana’s gaze downwards, into the parts that are lit up by the light. She lifts the girl’s head just enough for her to see it all - Paige’s dick thrusting inside her repeatedly.
“What was it you said?” The blonde grunts with each thrust. “Only a man could fuck you?”
Lana’s jaw goes slack at the sight, guttural whimpers emerging from her.
“Who’s fucking you now?”
“Mmh- you are,” she whines. “You’re fucking me.”
“That’s right,” Paige sighs with relief, it taking everything in her not to cum at those simple words. “Stupid slut.”
There’s a loud moan and eyes that threaten to roll back as the blonde shifts just a little. Wetness spills with each thrust, all over her thighs, the mattress - none of it matters. Lana’s making a mess on Paige’s dick and that’s enough proof for her. They stare into the light together, the pulsing along Lana’s pussy becoming visibly unbearable. She writhes and squirms but Paige never eases or lets go of her head. She needs Lana to see it, the way she’s about to lose herself on Paige’s dick.
“You close, huh?”
“Yes,” Lana cries, digging her nails deeper into Paige’s skin. Surely deep enough to draw blood.
“You gonna cum on my dick?”
“Uhuh.”
Paige bites her lips together, the strain burning and aching along her abs. They contract and pulse, suddenly resembling something like an approaching orgasm. Exactly like one.
“Sh- Are you sorry?”
Lana’s confused, barely conscious as she drips all over the sheets.
“You sorry for what you said?”
“Yes, daddy, yes,” she moans, not having to be asked this time.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” Lana cries, all her muscles beginning to contract with the sensation of Paige filling her out, stretching her to the point she didn’t know she could be stretched. It’s impossible to fight off, the rubber band beginning to snap.
“I’m so sorry, please let me cum, I’m sorry.”
“Oh fuck,” Paige moans, unable to resist it. “Come on.”
With sloppy and increasingly fast thrusts, Lana feels she’s being split open - an orgasm so powerful running over her it leaves her silent. For a moment she doesn’t breathe, doesn’t make a sound, just lies there shaking as the pleasure sends her off into another dimension. She hears Paige’s curses, sees the light flicker as it falls into the mattress, can feel the way she’s clinging to the girl on top. At last, her body contorts and the sounds spill from her. High-pitched and desperate. All inhibitions gone.
She’s certain she’s the first person to ever feel such pleasure. It’s as if Lana has been let in on a secret, something she never knew about herself before, something men never gave her. It’s euphoric. Until it’s not. Until Paige rolls off her, leaving her empty and weightless like she didn’t just dig out a feeling Lana didn’t know existed. A sense that nothing mattered suddenly, future plans, her own desires - maybe it had been sitting inside her for awhile. Rotting away, refusing to die. Her eyes flicker to Paige, her wide back covered in sweat as she pulls off the harness. Seconds that stretch out far too long finally pass, her clammy body pressing back into Lana. The relief she feels is confirmation enough.
“You okay?” Paige’s voice cuts through the panic, causing the ghost to disappear. Not for good, just to stand directly behind Lana’s back till she was willing to be seen again.
“I’m okay,” Lana answers with shocking tenderness, rolling over to bury her face in the blonde’s chest. It was easier not knowing, not thinking - before it had a name.

-
The pavement reflects the red lights coming from above, wet from the storm that still hasn’t eased.
-
Many mornings go like this.
