The original seal of the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land, which dates back to 1217, during the days of Saint Francis himself. Their first headquarters was on Mount Zion, in the place of the Upper Room (the coenaculum). It is for that reason that the Washing of the Feet and the Descent of the Holy Spirit are depicted on the seal, since those events occurred in the Cenacle.
