I don't condone cheating and if it were me, I would never forgive Top. But Top and Mew's relationship is so realistic like it reminds me that it takes two, that both partners need to put in the work.

Sure, Top's the guilty one, he made a mistake that's incredibly hard to forgive and impossible to forget. But he's actively making up for it and trying to be a better person. So, when Mew decided to give the relationship another try, shouldn't he also actively try to forgive Top and trust him again?

I've always seen cheating as a me vs you thing, but TopMew perfectly showed that it's an us vs the problem. Human relationship isn't black and white. Top shouldn't be reduced to the mistake he made. And Mew isn't entitled to hurt and punish Top to make himself feel better.

Relationship isn't about winning or losing, it's not about having the upper hand, it's about teamwork. It's forgiveness, it's communication, it's willingly putting our pride aside to tackle on the problem.

The whole production is a genius.

When Ray and Mew first got together, in that dancing scene, i felt their chemistry explode. Like literal fireworks i was like wow oh damn.

That's because they're trying to show how Ray feels like everything's finally falling into place. The person he's loved for the longest time's finally chose him.

But then!!! in the next episodes I feel how awkward their dynamic became. Every time they talked about each other I was like, are they really dating? oh? it's really a thing?

Like they had no chemistry at all and I was cringing most of the time.

And then, when they decided to go back to being friends, I felt like I could finally breathe, like the pieces finally fall into place. And their chemistry's back.

I saw on tiktok someone comparing Samantha & Charlotte's love style and neither's better or more right than the other, but I feel like it applies to Ray and Top too, especially now we can compare how Mew behaves when he's romantically with Top and Ray.

Top is an Add-er

From the get go, he's introduced as this top-tier guy; hot, fit, rich, confident, competent, he knows what he wants and he gets what he wants. Someone like Top and Samantha are Add-ers, it means relationships aren't necessary, they're nice to have and need to add better or more positive things into their lives.

Top "settles down" for Mew simply because he likes him. He makes him happier and healthier. He provides comfort and a safe space for Top to be vulnerable. He isn't after his money, fame, or his top-tier status, Mew likes Top for who he is. That's why when Mew asked Top to stop doing drugs etc, he complies because he's actually self-aware and he knows drugs isn't good for him. So, with the support from his boyfriend, Top successfully left his old lifestyle for his own benefit.

Ray is an Integrator

On the other hand, Ray, equally hot, fit, rich, and confident in his own way is an Integrator. Meaning, he's supposed to change even fundamental parts of himself for his partner. Integrators prefer to merge their life with their partner's, combining their identities, interests, and lifestyles because that's what connection means to them. However, different from Charlotte's, Ray's integrator style is influenced by a bunch of unresolved traumas and a history of addiction.

Ray is literally incapable of changing his lifestyle to meet Mew's. So, instead of integrating Mew into him, he integrates his shitty lifestyle into Mew. And Mew's going along with it because he's rebounding hurt, he's angry, and he's lost.

But, but, but, but fact is, Ray has found someone who already fits into his lifestyle in the first place. That's why I think he's somewhat confused and internally struggling to decide what he should do about his connection to Sand.

Regardless of their love styles

is so subtle and it's showing in bread crumbs. if i were his friend, i wouldn't say he's addicted yk. judging from the first ep, the gang usually goes out on the weekends, that means Ray would get drunk every weekend only (i assumed). in my eyes, he's just the annoying friend who can't hold his liquor but loves to drink.

but, it's the fact that he's unfazed after waking up in a foreign room with different clothes in the morning after blacking out.

then there's the flask he carries around and drinks from in broad daylight.

i also notice his eyes are almost always out of focus, they're also very very slightly squinting.

is it just me or are his words slurred too?

paying someone 10-20k to drink with you?

Mark's acting here is like superb, A+, award-winning. He makes Nick a well-rounded character like this creative, almost naive, cheerful guy is dragged into a sexual relationship with probably one of the most toxic and condescending man on earth.

Deep down, Nick knows this relationship is purely physical, that Boston has no intention of taking it further. But, he fooled himself into believing Ton's simple gestures and empty words make him more special than the others.

In just a split second, Nick shows A LOT of emotion on his face. And I legit felt his emotions. Nick made me feel disappointed, petty, confused, fond, frustrated, lonely, and disgusted.

He hugs his knees to comfort himself at the fact that this man who he'd been intimate with a few minutes ago is just using him for sex.

I'm pleasantly surprised that he's an okay person so far. He takes care of his friends, he's great at school and serious about work, he's sensible, he stands his ground on his feelings & beliefs but still respects others, like accepting Top in public and telling him his true feelings in private.

He's also not as naive as I thought. He sets firm boundaries and expresses his feelings clearly. He knows when to have fun with Top, when to put him in his place, but also when to be a companion and listen to him, empathize with him, and comfort him.

love IS cringe, it’s cheesy,

it’s slow dancing to music from your phone in an empty museum,

it’s opening up and sharing you and your father’s most intimate secret to the person who holds your heart,

it’s them proudly holding you in their arms and fulfilling (what once you thought was) your silly, teenage, only-happens-in-romcoms fantasy

love is beautiful and warm and it’s just you two in the whole world and that’s all that matters

I love how the Multiverse of Cuteness really was a parallel universe, like the plot’s not as simple as switching roles, lines, and band logos, but they make each character a whole, well-rounded, person as well and that’s what makes it SO REALISTIC.

For example,

MoC Gun is not MSP Gun. He’s reserved, less courageous, less talkative, less aggressive. He approaches Tinn timidly and has a different dynamic with his mom and best friend. MSP Gun is more carefree and child-like while MoC Gun is kinda sexy. The same goes for Tinn, Por, Tiw, and everyone else in the cast. 

This spin-off is giving literally top-tier writing and it’s only two episodes like what. Great plot, fun storyline, well-rounded characters, amazing chemistry, perfect acting. 

ok the whole vibe is just different, nobitin was this cute, fresh, nerdy, awkward kid who played crosswords and stared shyly at his crush

I love how BOC is not only creating a company, but a family and a community that prioritizes openness and acceptance and safety. It’s so beautiful how they’re validating each others’ pain and journey to get to where they are.

I love how BOC gives these imperfect people a chance to share their story, that regardless of their past, they can learn, grow, and work towards their dreams. It’s truly inspirational for viewers who might be going through the same thing, showing them they’re not alone in their journey.

I absolutely love The Hidden Character. I love that they’re addressing such important matters in the first episode. I feel like Max’s case is similar to one of Build’s, he made a permanent mistake, he left behind a permanent digital footprint that might potentially come back to him in the future.

I’m glad BOC brought it up first

They’re asking these necessary questions, helping many others like Max reflect on their own experiences.

I’m not saying we should justify hate, but BOC shows empathy to then 12-year-old Max and gives him a chance, to tell his story and show his growth and be a powerful representation of how trauma can trigger hate and aggression and how one can grow from it.

My heart is breaking! Look at the fear and concern in Win’s eyes. He has no idea what’s going on, but he’s there to make sure Team’s ok and no one’s going to hurt him.
