The thing about "woke 1" discourse among millennials is that there's a kernel of truth that a lot of us learned intersectionality via people who sometimes had cringeworthy takes and in turn probably had cringeworthy takes too (I definitely did) but now we've making a severe overcorrection to that cringiness in retrospect

We're not much different from Boomers who went through the Summer of Love and broader hippie period and came out of the other side embarrassed for the performativity of all but also forgetting that at its root that period developed from a serious anti-war and pro-civil rights movement
