Wanna tell me about your kaleesh ocs? 👀👉👈
(Also saw it's your birthday? Congrats!)
Sorry for the late answer, but here's some of my Kaleesh OCs:
WARNING: mentions of graphic topics below
Neera is a former First Order Stormtrooper from Special Division Four, an entirely nonhuman unit. It was proposed as a way for the First Order to be seen as "inclusive". Neera actually escaped, and the markings on her shoulderpad were from another defector who unfortunately didn't make it out. She then traveled to Kalee, unintentionally met her younger brother, Araw, and reconnected with her culture. I might expand this into more detail sometime, but here's an outline. As part of her rite of passage, Neera hunted and killed a creature similar to the Bakunawa and made a mask out of it. The teal pigment comes from a certain regional algae.
Inali is my New Republic Era self-insert I ship with Cad Bane. She's a bounty hunter who uses vibroblades as her weapons. She basically annoyed him so much and was hired with him more than a few times that the cranky Duros actually fell in love. It wasn't fairytale happy though. They have some sort of a rivalry, which was quite prevalent towards the beginning of their relationship. She likes to tease the cowboy more than you may think, as well as steal his hat. She's a very acrobatic individual and as a Kaleesh, her stronger senses make her an excellent bounty hunter. Inali's name is actually playing around with the letters in one of my irl's names and Nohagi comes from my biological grandfather's last name, Hagino. Hagino sounds Japanese you ask? Well, I'm actually part Japanese!!
Lar'ita is a Separatist officer and a victim of the Huk War. She had a blissful childhood until the Huk came to her village. Her parents were brutally murdered in her face, her friend was sniped the next day, only leaving the wooden toy Lar'ita gave her. Despite her attempts to keep a low profile and survive in the ruins that were her hometown, she was captured and shipped off to a Yam'rii camp. She was a number there, not an individual with rights of her own. She was given a cheap beige work uniform with the number "859" on it. Once arriving to the planet, she saw infertile soil, ominous clouds, lines of Kaleesh being pushed by Huks, and blood spilled on the soil. Blood, yet no signs of a dead body. She didn't even want to know where those bodies went to. She, like the others, was forbidden to speak Kaleeshi or practice her religion. She was taught simple commands and phrases in Basic, but if the Yam'rii heard her speak more than what was taught, she would've been publically executed. For a meeting, she spilled a drink and a Huk spat acid on her body. She was electrocuted with a shock collar. Scratched, not just by others, but by her own spirals and relapses. Bitemarks on her arms. Marks of sexual abuse, as she was raped several times by different Yam'rii guards and soldiers. It was all out of sadistic pleasure and show of power, disgusting bugs. She was shot after attempting to escape, and once escaping, shot as well. She took a Yam'rii shuttle, before ending up on a populated moon. This was where she was rescued by the Separatist alliance and made into an officer. Because of all her traumatic experiences, Lar'ita developed a sadistic personality, intense mood swings, hypersexuality, and a strong hatred towards the Republic for siding with the Huk.
Araw is the brother of Neera. He runs a food boat for the local floating markets. He makes food based on Filipino classics, like palabok, halo-halo, and lumpia. Let's just say the region after the Kaleesh-Imperial conflict was similar to post-US Philippines. Araw's name means "sun" in Filipino. Araw is a very young, yet clever individual. If it wasn't for him, Neera wouldn't have reunited with her family, in fact, she didn't even know Araw was her brother if it wasn't for his curiosity. He also likes to do nightly karaoke and is learning traditional dance with Neera.
