i mean, obviously, they would bite, especially stick-like things (personally, i bite through the wooden ice popsicle handles and when i was younger i also chewed on chicken bones whenever we had chicken thighs for lunch 😭.)

but there's that piranha phase apparently. when puppy's teeth gets super sharp and it hurts when they bite you, because it's like tiny needles biting you.

this probably affects Olly the most because he's the one who roundhouses with them. poor guy with bitten arms 😭❤️.

since human teeth don't really sharper at any point, perhaps they just go through a phase of strong need for biting, and being younger they can't properly adjust how hard they bite, so it just hurts anyway.

so round housing might be cancelled for a few months.

idk what about the other masters. because, the apprentice won't bite them out of nowhere. it's all instinctual. so it's either they're hurt and scared so they lash out out of fear, or they're just playing. and i don't think other masters fancy playing like that 😭

Beldy definitely won't be getting any bites. He genuinely can't play fight.

Qifrey, perhaps a few times. Perhaps, they're outside again and the apprentice is way too excited and they just misunderstand Qifrey pulling them closer as invitation to roundhouse... so they bite his arm. he's startled as hell.

Easthies... hm...... he's too vigilant and from seeing them just bite objects, he's definitely lectures them about manners and about what they can and cannot bite.

he's a knight though, so he probably still wants plenty of exercise for his apprentice so he might take them to training. obvi, no playing with weapons, just some drills that are easy enough for the apprentice. and the training space is the perfect environment for Utowin to tease the apprentice, so that they tackle him down and play fight. sorry Utowin, you didn't ask for this, but you're getting bitten now.

You need enough sleep.” yet baby wiggles out of his grasp, sitting in front of the fireplace and claiming they'll get to see santa. “Mind if Master joins you?” they agree. Now Master Qifrey wants to do it too? Great!

“Master Qippi?” “Hmmm…?” “How Santa gives people so many gift everyday? In just one night?” “My, my. Curious, aren't we? Perhaps he uses magic? Olruggio knows it could be easily sorted if he shattered theur childish illusions. Yet he's more aware of his incapacity to do it. Hence why he complies: he's going to spend the whole night finishing late comissions—which were supposed to be Christmas gifts… well, whoever's getting them won't mind it beinh a bit late, will they?

you said a lot that you think Olly would overfeed the pets he "didn't" want. and i love that hc.

obvi, he would overfeed the apprentice with treats, but he definitely gives them more then he should. something about their puppy behaviour just makes him want to give them treats.

sometimes, they're playing next to him, and he suddenly looks up from his papers, mumbling something like "Ah... where have I put it?". and apprentice just gets up and finds anything he's looking for and retrieves it for him. aren't they just the atelier's kindest, most radiant golden retriever?

such acts make him pet their head and give them a candy (only one per act because otherwise, they'd be eating a bag-full everyday 😔)

i think he'd be more rough that Qifrey too. not just because he roundhouses with them, but also just kind of... does it. like, i mean, field trip wise, if he lets go of their hand, he wants them to stay by his leg (basically the "heel" command). but since they've just a little puppy who's still learning, they sometimes want to stray away. immediately, grabs them by the collar and pulls them back to his side. he's not about to spend hours searching whole of Kahln just because his apprentice wanted to check something out.

but in the woods, i think he'd let them free roam completely. it's enrichment or whatever. and an apprentice who spends an hour running around like crazy means they'll knock out at 8 pm and sleep till 7 am.
