Part-Timing UFO and BOXBOY

     Am I ungrateful, or am I just lonely and sad?

     “Let’s just put it this way- I just wish that the good we do did get somewhat recognized. It’s not an easy job bein’ a planetary repairbox, but I guess the only kind of planet-saving people care about is when it involves fighting off villains and bad guys.”

     “…But what good am I as a ‘fighter’? I can’t summon any weapon or power that isn’t box-related !” Even UFO had its claw and THEY were able to fend off an extraterrestrial invasion, let alone an invasion bot!

“I-Iie iie, Uffo-san to frendo d-did lotsu! Th-This, i-is thank kyuu!”

And then the UFO did suggest to put the tray on a table, “A-Ah hai! Tay-boru…”

…They were in the hall, not many tables suitable for holding a tray were present…if any at all. The only tables around were those for decoration and holding up flower pots.

“…S-Snacku i-in, lobby…des-ka?” the boy timidly offered.

    “As long as we get to eat! Let’s go!” Qbby hurried. He didn’t want to wait too long to enjoy the rewards that he clearly deserved. Totally. And not only because he was convinced to do so by anyone else.

    …Darn. It’s only dawned on him just how short his list of friends and family really is.

    “I, uhh, appreciate your attempt to make me feel a bit better… but… I don’t know if that’s enough…” 

    The small cube froze, sighed quietly, and turned off the monitor.

     Someone has been staring at the Boxship’s screen for a bit now. Every since  the ‘Black Smoke Planet’ incident two years ago, there hasn’t been any sightings of more possible B.S-infected planets in need of the reparation process. Which is both a relief... and somewhat of a worry. Don’t get him wrong, it seems like the danger is finally done for good. But on the other hand, that just means he’s back to being nothing but a simple box with legs, so he thinks.
