Had the realization that I really need to work on my nerves. We are watching The Chair Company now and this man gets in so many awkward situations, I just couldn't handle a third episode because it stressed me out so much. And my bf was like, this is silly fiction, why is this causing you so much stress? And that's with me already looking up how the episode ends because I can't deal with the suspense..

The spiders Georg meme was always extra funny to me, because when I first heard about the urban legend of the average person eat three spiders in your sleep per year", I was a silly child and not paying full attention, so for quite a while I thought we ate three spiders in our sleep EVERY NIGHT. Which I can tell you is a much more disturbing thought and it really freaked me out until one day someone cited the "three per year" fact and I realized my mistake. Can't believe little me just fully accepted that we were just snacking on spiders every night.

I am a control freak and that makes it really hard for me to let students process data. Or collect it. My lord I was going through the data of a student and she just didn't notice when scanning that some kids forgot to fill out questions etc. Even though she still saw them afterwards. Wish I had noticed before but I didn't have time to check every single thing she scans and uploads. But I guess I need to start doing that... Obviously there's great students too, but damn, I can't stand data loss like this

Two years ago we spent some time in Valencia. I had really looked into how long it would take to cycle from our hotel to various locations. It all seemed very close. Until I got there and realized that many people used electric scooters and e-bikes. Google's estimations were clearly based on that. I know I should've looked at the actual distance between locations, but in the Netherlands, google maps is pretty accurate (although imo also getting more optimistic for longer distances, probably also bcs e-bikes are so popular now. It was pretty disappointing though, so be warned if you're ever planning to visit Valencia!

Every time these football players do the little dribble/stutter thing to confuse the goalkeeper, they miss the penalty. You'd think they had noticed this themselves, but nope, they keep doing it and missing.
