I'd like to say I am a yearner once I get incredibly close to someone whom I admire and have learned so much about (consensually).

I feel these days yearning has definitely lost its touch as everyone uses social media these days and the thought of merging souls with someone sounds "psycho" to people in my age bracket.

Here a 3 songs I have found for my certified yearners:

1.) I WANT SOMEONE BADLY- Jeff Buckley

Jeff Buckley is the yearner of all yearners (he technically is the creator of it IMO).

You've probably heard of Jeff through tiktok for his song "Everybody here Wants you".

Jeff carries incredible emotion in his voice and has a tone so controlled it leaves you helpless. Sadly, Jeff died in May 1997.

Jeffs voice has such hunger and passion in it which is 2 things that make such a powerful yearner. This song shows that perfectly.

Mitski's voice holds a pain like no other in her track "I want you". It has got to be the most devastating yearning song I've heard.

I've always admired Mitski's tone of voice when she speaks about people in her songs.

It's all filled with an array of endless emotion and in this song sadness, longing, and imagery is used beautifully to describe the pain intense yearning can have on not only ones heart, but ones mind.

3.) JOIN ME IN DEATH - HIM

OBVIOUSLY THIS SONG IS ON HERE BRO!!!

If you do not know this song, you simply have not experienced such a deep yearn ( I joke, not really). The band HIM has some of the most passionate songs about longing that aren't all sad.

"Join me in death" has the perfect amount of longing and it holds such great depth in it that makes it stands out from the other 2 above.

The song is intense yet so romantic it pulls you into another world. The best way to describe this song is like a start to a really goth / emo anime about romance between a princess and a vampire. It's so good.

As you can tell I haven't been very active on my Tumblr account as usual.

I just wanted to clarify that some things are happening in my personal life that are insanely new and I need to take time to adjust. In order to do so I am taking a break from posting for a bit - not forever.

Just wanted to clarify that for you all in case you were wondering. I shall be back nonetheless but I would like for you to comment below and share some music with me.

If you could combine two completely different artists (like Billie Eilish and Kurt Cobain), what would that sound like?

I absolutely love this question it's my favorite music question to ever exist because a question like this expands what music could sound like and what it could be in the future.

Thinking about artists for different backgrounds and sounds and combining them together creates a world of possibilities and a world where there is an even wider genre of music.

For me I think about combining artists together ALMOST EVERYDAY.

Some of my biggest ones I thought would sound truly amazing are :

1.) ABSOLUTELY & SMASHING PUMPKINS

These 2 artists already have the same whimsy vibe that automatically fits each other perfectly.

Absolutely has such an expanded range that really fits any genre in my opinion and would sound truly beautiful on a Smashing Pumpkins record.

Smashing Pumpkins has such a dreamy yet unforgettable sound that is so unique from any other Rock band. They automatically stand out amongst their peers for their otherworldly sound and crafted story telling.

The combination of these 2 toghther would send aliens down to earth.

2.) RADIOHEAD & EELS

These 2 are already melancholy but they both could make incredibly captivating music together.

They already share this deeply melancholic sound but each approaches it from a slightly different emotional angle.

Radiohead is atmospheric has otherworldly textures and Eels is raw and personal when it comes to storytelling.

I believe they could even care out an entirely new genre of music - a gloom driven genre that blends something so expansive and intimate.

3.) RADIOHEAD & GORILLAZ

I believe Radiohead and Gorillaz could ABSOLUTELY unlock an entirely new genre together.

Radiohead brings signature melancholy and emotion , with Thom Yorke's voice feeling almost poetically fragile paired with Damon Albarn's expressive, ever adaptable vocals and genre blending sound - you get a collaboration that's both grounded and electrifying all at once.

Gorillaz's expansive sound could open up a new dimension for Radiohead, giving their introspection a brighter , more kinetic edge.

At the same time Radiohead could add deeper emotions to Gorillaz playful experimentation.

LASTLY

4.) MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE & I MONSTER

At first glance , My chemical romance and I monster seem like an unlikely pairing. I originally imagined them with Deftones but I like the thought of Deftones and Linkin Park collaborating more as their styles feel more aligned.

My Chemical Romance brings that theatrical intensity as well as emotional swings, powerful vocals, and dramatic story telling. I Monster, leans more eerie and retro with haunting yet hypnotic qualities.

Put them together, they could build a sound that's dark and richly layered- something immersive yet so surreal. They both have a sound that lingers in your soul for hours.

Having songs with the name of colors sometimes makes me giggle.

I have undiagnosed Synesthesia - "Synesthesia is when a person experiences consistent, links between one type of stimulus and a usually unrelated type of sensory perception."

Examples: Experiencing visual stimulation whenever you hear certain words or sounds, while another individual may feel like they are tasting words.

So, growing up numbers and letters were colors to me like 4 is green , B is blue, and 9 is magenta.

The most successful musicians have this "gift" like Pharrell Williams, Cynthia Erivo, and even Finneas O'Connell.

So, when I say it's funny when artists name their songs certain colors it's because the song titles color doesn't match the colors I see but these 3 songs are accurate with the color title for me (somewhat).

The song is Black, Navy Blue, and has specks of white and orange to me.

I love this song it's my favorite Radiohead song ever due to the classic sleepy sound and the poetic lyrics.

This song is definitely Neon Blue, Baby Blue, Yellow, and Grey.

This song is tricky because oftentimes it is just plain lipstick red but other times it'll be Red , Orange , Yellow, and an odd shade of purple. This song is so fun for summer.

I think I'd choose my entry song based on the vibe I give off.

I've been told I appear as intimidating or more mature than my peers and I've been told that since elementary school.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SONG , THAT'S SUNG IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE?!?

For me, I grew up in a house and place with many cultures.

So, oftentimes lots of Spanish music would play or Jamaican music but for me as a young music obsessed freak I expanded my music range even further once I discovered Kpop.

Before then I never even knew Korea existed (the place I grew up had terrible education) so when I discovered their music - it was literally like entering a new world.

I loved kpop hard and I grew up listening to it by myself at 7 years old.

ANYWHOOOOO....

My favorite kpop song would have to be '134340' by BTS.

The lyricism in the song as well as the beautiful harmonization the members have with one another makes the song unforgettable.
