Since 2014, EA has been tirelessly developing The Sims 4. They take their money from you. Some of the good features are only available by purchasing DLC at up to $39 a pop. And they all contain bugs to which the developers keep turning a blind eye. That sucks.
Since then, no one has had the courage or the man power to get it right.
Like in 2023 when Paradox Interactive announced Life by You. That game went through 3 delays, the last of which was called due to severe developmental problems. The plug was pulled about a month later.

Despite a huge early following, the game had its criticisms, ranging from AI Slop to incredibly fast needs decay.
