A View of London You’ve Never Seen Before. 30 St Mary Axe is entirely glazed. The lack of access and no central point meant that 360 views from the Gherkin have never been done before. Until now.

“Surely the fairest picture the whole world affords” said Mark Twain of Lake Tahoe, and when free of the crowds you can see just why. This 360 view looks out above Emerald Bay, over towards Eagle Falls (waterfall) and Fannette Island. We had sat out on the rocks, having a beer or two the night before, after shooting the location at dusk. This was around summer solstice, so morning came around fast. To capture the dawn I headed out early, rewarded by watching the night fall away and the sun start to sweep across the surface of the lake, bathing each tree in rosy morning light.

After a gloriously hot summer, late August 2014 brought dramatic skies and storms to London. The light on this particular evening was quite something, lending an ominous feel to the sky over the Palace of Westminster. I struck it lucky on this particular shoot, although it wasn't without risk to my medium format gear. Spectacular as they are, storm clouds by their nature will dispose of their contents at some point. Sure enough, the heavens opened and I was somewhat fraught until I was back in the studio, checking the camera was still functioning, as it's really designed for the studio, not a soggy street.

The richly diverse landscape of California is a photographers dream. The night before taking this shot we rolled up in the dark and booked ourselves into a log cabin by the water, not knowing what to expect. The next morning we got up early to discover we’d hit gold with this majestic scene. The morning sun burnt off the cool air from Mount Shasta, a great morning to be alive!
