...It is discouraging as a creative to watch the landscape of creativity that I adored so much to become so altered. Especially by something I feel as though can put something together in seconds that would usually take weeks- or months- or even years to make otherwise.

I have recently thought of my own analogy for the reason why I still create my own work, despite of the direction this technology has taken.

Let's say you sew, you sew your own plushie or piece of clothing from scratch. There is only one of those in the whole world now, it's bespoke to you and your mind. Yes, you could have bought a plushie or piece of clothing premade from a company, but you chose to make it yourself.

It's your own.

AI can do a lot of things; but what it can never do is create something that there is only one of in the world. It takes from things physically to mash it all together. The only way a book, a drawing, anything can be exactly as you want it is to do it yourself.
