And I would like to raise the argument that in the Boblena ship it would also be Bob that is more "comfortable." Because while we don't know anything about his love life before Project Sentry (whose to say if the MCU will include Lindy) but again he is someone who has most likely formed connections (how healthy or how intimate is up for debate) in the life he has lived and people he has met, even before he travelled abroad.

Yelena has spent nearly her entire adult life either under control of the Red Room, where most of her social interactions were presumably a facade for a mission, then with other Widows to free those still under Red Room control, and then alone after the Blip. Nothing close to a "normal" romantic connection.

So yeah in my head canon Bob feels more comfortable with the ways of a romantic relationship. Yes, his self doubt/hatred would have him doubting he's worthy of Yelena, but he knows what he wants out of a relationship due to his past experiences.
