I can't help but think that there was a reason that Puss only wanted to wish for his 9 lives back rather than wishing for infinite lives or for Death to go away or something. I think deep down, he didn't actually want immortality. Maybe he only wanted to reclaim his past lives because he realized that he had taken them for granted. But if he actually did do that, I think he might've just wasted them by being reckless again. I don't think it's about dwelling on the time wasted but rather living in the moment and even looking to the future and trying to make the most of the time you actually have left. At least, that's how I interpreted it lol
Oh and also something else I noticed about The Last Wish is that (I would argue that) everyone's wish was selfish. Puss wanted to reclaim the lives he had already wasted with his own cockiness and probably would've just wasted his lives again if he actually did get the wish, and he abandoned Kitty and Perrito to get it. Kitty wanted to wish for someone she could trust instead of putting the effort into building a lasting bond through communication with the people she already had in her life (because really, is it truly trust if it's through magic?) Goldie wanted to wish for a "real" family and to abandon the family she had that already loved her. I don't think I have to explain why Jack's wish was selfish.
That star could've granted ANYTHING. They could've wished for world peace or something like that. Instead they wanted something that would only benefit them and- in a way- was already right in front of them the whole time

Well I believe that in general, the Grim Reaper/Death is told to be cold ("ice cold hands"). And when people/creatures die, their body gets cold too. But Death is also a wolf, with fur and hellish pink flame powers.
So yes, I think Death can either be hot or cold because ... he's Death straight up x)

Do you have any tips on how to draw Death? I’m having some trouble, especially with the size of his snout
Aouch. The truth is I too still have trouble today to draw Death's longass snout... (>///>;)
But just because it is long in the movie doesn't mean we have to draw him exactly like this. Depends of the artstyle.
Drawing his snout in profile view is easier. But in 3/4 view, first you gotta think in geometry. Imagine his snout having the same shape as a 3D rectangle, then refine in more details (nose and lips).
The same goes for any wolf or dog. I hope it helps a little.
