I'm not sure if this actually makes sense. But was the interior of the apartment Gabe and Tycho live in based soley on Apartment 26 or just free winged it everytime? I know over the years it's been drawn a little different but I'd be curious to know if there was ever a base design when you guys began 😿

"We always thought it was based on it, partly because the strip had to go somewhere and partly because we had a lot of fun in that apartment. Eventually Gabe moved out when I got married, and then Brenna and I lived there for a bit until we moved to Seattle. If we needed something else specific to happen, we would wing it for sure - it is a non-Euclidian space, like the TARDIS - but the main distinction from the real one is that while in the comic it often identifies as a house, the Apartment itself was actually on the second floor.
