It marks exactly ONE MONTH since I started working on this comic, it would mean a lot to me if you read and enjoyed it.

These days, Ren hasn't been spending a lot of time with his husband. It's not the problem of anything happening between him and Goro or a result of disagreements but a common case of a busy life. It's easy to fall into a pattern of working hard just to go back home and rest.

At least they get to go back to each other every night to fall asleep intertwined. It's during one of these moments that Ren realizes just how much he misses giving and receiving full attention to and from his husband. He finds himself still awake, watching Goro's sleeping, tired, beautiful face. Thoughtlessly, he reaches his hand out, tracing his fingers against his cheek, when he feels his chest squeeze, hit with a sudden sense of longing.

How long it's been since they had a chance to fully focus on each other? How didn't Ren realize just how much he needed it?

Wanting to be closer, he tightly wraps his arms around Goro, partially drapping himself on top of him. He's aware it's clingy, but he doesn't care much and Goro isn't awake to say anything about it. Not like he would've minded anyways.

A few days later, Ren spends the entire day a bit restless. He has a good reason to be excited, after all he and Goro will be having a movie night. It's something they decided on doing at least once a month and now that he's aware of how little time they gave each other recently, he's looking forward to it more than ever.

He gives his husband a bright smile as he joins him on the couch, immediately leaning against him, fitting perfectly by his side like puzzle pieces coming together. Goro brings his hand to his hair and he lets out a content sigh, closing his eyes.

He hears his husband chuckle, "Hey, don't fall asleep. We're supposed to choose a movie."

"Mhm. You can choose something this time," he mumbles in response, his arms wrapping tightly against Goro.

"There's this new Featherman special I thought we could watch. We also have a recommendation from Nijima-san..."

Akechi continues listing his ideas, but the longer he goes on, the more Ren grows aware of how much he doesn't actually want to watch a movie. He's feeling stupidly needy tonight. He wants Goro to focus on him, not the movie.

"...so, what would you prefer, Ren?" Goro asks after he finishes naming his ideas.

Instead of responding, Ren pushes him to lie down on the couch, his lip curling up into a smirk.

"Ren?"

His smile widens when, as if autonomically, Goro's arms shoot up to embrace him.

"Haven't you been tired lately?" he asks him, his hand reaching up to his cheek. He swipes his thumb under his eye for the emphasis.

He doesn't miss the way he leans into his touch.

"Has something gotten into you? Where are you going with this?" as Goro questions his sudden shift in behavior, his eyebrows furrow and his expression turns into a frown.

Ren can't help but giggle. His husband is so cute.

His heart feels like it's about to burst with his love for that man. He needs to do something about it, fast.

"Why don't we skip movie night and get you to bed, honey?"

He watches how in a span of one second Goro's eyes widen slightly with realization just to narrow a bit in thought and finally, settling on seemingly innocent confusion.

"Getting me to bed? I really don't think I'm that tired, darling."

So that's how he wants to play? Ren doesn't stop a grin from forming on his face.

He leans in to nuzzle against his cheek, trailing kisses down his jaw, "I have some ideas how to solve this issue."

His husband hums under him and he feels satisfaction as he watches him close his eyes, clearly pleased with his affection, "Oh, really? I'd like to hear more about them."

"Maybe rather than talking about them, we can try them out?"

His kisses move down to Goro's neck, warm feeling inside him growing as he hears him sigh with satisfiaction. He notes in his mind how Goro doesn't even try to convince him to focus on what they already decided to do tonight. If he didn't want to indulge him, he wouldn't.

Maybe his husband missed him too.

His suspicions seem to be confirmed when Goro's hands wanders under his shirt, exploring his bare skin.

The two of them exchange a heated kiss and Ren feels a bit embarrassed with how he whines into it. Although he doesn't have much time to think about it before Goro breaks the kiss and he meets his flushed face.

"How about we'll move somewhere more appropriate?"

Without saying anything, Ren just wraps his arms around his neck. Getting the message, Goro rolls his eyes, but doesn't protest as he stands up from the couch and lifts him up with himself.

"I'm letting you win too easily," he shakes his head and carries him to their bedroom.

"I love you, darling."

He gets put down on the bed with such gentleness and tenderness that Ren feels lucky to know better than anyone just how sweet Goro can be.

As if to contrast this, once Goro knows his husband is safely placed down, his movement becomes almost aggressive as he gets on top of him, letting his desires show.

Two seemingly opposite sides, both equally beautiful and both Goro.

"I love you too," he says before he catches his lips in a very welcomed kiss.

He makes sure to leave Ren breathless, looking at him with a smug smile as he continues speaking, "I'll have you know, kitten, for your behavior tonight, I'll have my way with you until I decide I'm tired enough."

"Maybe if you do this, it'll finally be nearly enough to satisfy me" he responds with an expression just as smug.

His husband above him laughs, pressing their foreheads together "We'll see about that."
