Heavy Snow 大雪

The year turns to around December 7, it symbolizes the arrival of the “Heavy Snow” solar term in the middle winter. Children are busy playing on sledges, having snowball fights, farmers know the snow is like a “thick quilt” to cover their crops. Winter treats of barley sugar, sweet potatoes and porridge, and mother’s special hand-made deep-fried radish balls, are all the flavours of this special time.
