See the thing is. If you take away the preferred medium of a real artist, then they are still an artist. They can pivot to another medium. Paint instead of pencils, charcoal instead of pastels, multimedia instead of clay, etc. They might not be as good as they were in their preferred medium, but theyre still able to make art.

But if you take away an AI from someone, and suddenly that self-professed "artist" isnt able to make art anymore.... well they were never an artist to begin with.
