I know it's very common for winter to make people miserable or lethargic, but for me I find that it's honestly the opposite? winter makes me feel refreshed and alive. summer makes me feel like a slug being steamed gyozastyle. when the first autumn breeze graces my sluggy skin I will be rejuvenated and live forever

i actually don't think you should have to be able to work and do good in college and pay for a car and utilities and rent and a mortgage to live a good worthwhile life I don't think the worth of a human should be measured in their "usefulness"

it is impossible to watch a movie. every night i think i want to watch a movie. no movie gets watched. because it's not possible

and yet they keep making movies with the hopes that one day humanity will discover a way to watch them. it's so inspiring

what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.

I love when someone is explaining instructions to a group I’m in and they look at me and it reminds them to say something about using preferred names/pronouns or that there’s vegan food options available. I go by my given name/pronouns and I’m not vegan but I’m proud that I can provide this service
