so are we going to ignore how Jane was completely dehumanised until the end? Hopper told her she didn’t have to die because she would have a child…? Mike even in his grief didn’t care to reflect on her humanity and what it meant for her to sacrifice herself? He was still focused on himself and his imagined happiness for her…like I’m sorry i feel sick, actually nauseated by the writing choices. because for the writers women don’t seem to have an identity beyond the men in their lives…absolutely atrocious writing. narratively there was no need for her to die, it made NO impact on the story or gave any closure to any loose ends. it was purely for shock value and it didn’t land. it was just uncomfortable to watch.
