âFuck baby,â Jon moaned out, as he gripped Kenyaâs hips. Kenya threw her head back in pleasure as she started bouncing on his dick. âShit,â he dragged out. âJust like that.â Jon's fingers dug into the curve of Kenyaâs waist, pulling her closer to him with every bounce. She leaned forward, kissing him deeply, their tongues entwining in a heated exchange.Â
âYou boutta cum for me, Daddy?â Kenya whispered against his lips, and Jon nodded, his hips bucking up to meet her every thrust. Kenya leaned down so that their chests were pressed against each other. The sound of her ass slapping against his thighs triggered his orgasm.Â
âShit! Iâm boutta nut!â Hearing him say that made her start to bounce on his dick harder and faster.Â
âGo âhead Daddy, nut in your pussy.âÂ
âFuck!â He moaned out, closing his eyes in ecstasy as her walls tightened around himÂ
âTrin..â He moaned out, and both he and Kenya froze.Â
âBitch, did you justâŚâ She trailed off, moving off of him and rushing into the bathroom to clean herself up. Jon winced when she slammed the bathroom door shut.Â
âBaby! Iâm sorry man, I-Iâ He stuttered trying to come up with a good excuse as to why he said his ex-girlfriend's name as he came inside of his current fiancĂŠe. He groaned and got off the bed, pulling his briefs back on, and walked over to the bathroom door, frowning when he found it locked.Â
âKenya, Iâm sorry. Open the door, please.â He jumped as the bathroom door opened and Kenya walked out, now dressed in her pink Louis Vuitton robe.Â
âMove out my way.â She said, glaring at him. Jon watched with wide eyes as she walked into their closet and came back out with her duffel bag and dressed in a grey hoodie and black leggings.Â
âNo baby, wait lemme -â Jon wrapped one of his hands around her forearm trying to stop her but Kenya snatched her arm out of his grasp.Â
âDonât fucking touch me.â She said, looking at him in disgust. âI knew something was up when yâall followed each other back on Instagram. You got me fucked up, Fatu.â She said, throwing clothes and some essentials into her duffel bag.Â
âNo, just let me explain.â Jon tried to grab her arm again but the glare she sent his way stopped him.Â
â I knew this was too good to be true.â Kenya started, motioning her hand between the two of them. âI heard the way your mom and brothers talked about our relationship. How shocked they were when you told them you proposed. Your mom couldnât even pretend to be happy, Jonathan.âÂ
Jon felt his heart sink as Kenya's words hit him. He knew she was right. His family had been skeptical of their relationship from the start, always comparing Kenya to Trinity.
Since his mom had met Kenya, she would always try to compare the two. And she would point out all of Kenya's flaws.Â
âTrinity always made sure his clothes were clean before he went on the road.âÂ
âTrinity always had a warm meal ready for Jon.âÂ
âTrinity was used to life on the road⌠How are you going to cope with him being gone most of the time?âÂ
âI was never gonna be good enough, no matter how hard I tried. We were never going to last,â Jon watched helplessly as Kenya finished packing up what she could. She zipped the bag up and placed it on her shoulder. âIâll try to come back for the rest of my stuff.âÂ
âKenya.. Please.â He whispered, his voice cracking as he watched her with teary eyes. âIâm sorry, just- please don't go."
Kenya scoffed quietly as she made it to their his bedroom door. âDo you know what hurts the most? I always knew that you werenât over her, like in the back of my mind I knew, but when she left the company, I just⌠I dunno, I was hoping you would get over her, but I guess that was silly of me to assume.âÂ
âBaby.. I-I am over her.â
Kenya huffed as she noticed his slight hesitation. She let out a sad sigh as she looked around the room she had decorated for their anniversary. Kenya's eyes lingered on the photos she had taped to the strings; their smiling faces mocked her now, a painful reminder of what she thought they had. She blinked back tears and turned her gaze back to him.Â
âYouâre not, and I canât keep pretending that you are.â Her voice was barely above a whisper, her tears now falling freely down her cheeks. âI deserve better than to be someoneâs second choice.âÂ
She opened the door and walked out of the room. She heard Jonâs footsteps close behind her. âI love you!â He called out after her. âI donât know why I said her name! I havenât talked to her in months! I swear, baby, it didnât mean anything!âÂ
Kenya stopped walking and whirled around to face Jon. âHow could you say that? What if I moaned out my exâs name while you were inside me, huh? Would you just be okay with it?âÂ
Jon fell silent, unable to answer. He knew he'd be devastated if the roles were reversed. Kenya shook her head, disappointed but not surprised by his lack of response.
âExactly.â She said as she shook her head and opened the front door, walking out and towards her car. She unlocked the doors with the fob and threw her bag into the backseat. She hurriedly hopped into the driver's seat as she noticed Jon rushing towards her, still only dressed in his briefs.Â
âKenya, Please. Iâm fucking begging. Just come back inside so we can talk.â Jon said, pulling on the door handle, but she had locked it. Kenya stared straight ahead, her hands gripping the steering wheel tightly as Jon pleaded outside her window. She couldn't bear to look at him, knowing if she did, her resolve might crumble. With a deep breath, she started the engine. âNo! Kenya!â Jon called out, hitting his hand against the window as she pulled off from in front of their home.Â
Kenya had wound up driving to her studio and sleeping on the couch there. She woke up the next morning to about 50 missed phone calls from Jon and about 20 from his twin brother Josh.Â
Josh Fatu: Sis, can u jus let me know you safe. Bro in here spazzing out cause u turned ur location off.Â
Kenya rolled her eyes and tossed her phone back down.Â
Just as she sat up and stretched, her phone started ringing. Kenya sighed as Jonâs contact stared back at her. She waited for it to stop ringing before unlocking her phone and blocking his number. She let out a deep sigh as she pushed herself off the couch, walked into the kitchen area, and started a pot of coffee.Â
She was in deep thought as she leaned against the counter, absentmindedly stroking the engagement ring she was still wearing. Kenya's fingers lingered on the diamond ring, memories flooding her mind. The day Jon proposed, the way his eyes lit up when she said yes, and the plans they'd made for their future together. It all felt like a distant dream now.Â

It's been about a month since she last talked to Jon. Even though she had blocked him from her phone, he had shown up to the studio multiple times to try to get her to talk to him. But how could she? He had betrayed her in the worst way.Â
She was sitting cross-legged on the floor of the recording booth, notebook in her lap, while soft piano chords played through the speakers. The song sheâd been trying to write for the past two hours still only had four lines, and every lyric somehow circled back to him. Her pen froze against the paper as she heard the studio door swing open.
âOkay, this is getting ridiculous now.â Milanâs voice echoed through the room.
Kenya groaned softly as her best friend walked farther into the room, turning on the lights. âMia, please,â Kenya said softly, her eyes still focused on the notebook on her lap.Â
âNo, I understand youâre hurt, but come on, Yaya. You gotta get out this funk.âÂ
Kenya sighed and looked up at her friend. âHe was here this morning,â she shrugged, â I didnât talk to him, but he left a note with security.âÂ
That got Milan to pause. âA note?âÂ
Kenya nodded. âI didnât read it. Just told them to toss it. I just⌠I canât.â Kenya reached up and wiped the tears that were now flowing down her cheeks. âNobody understands what I've been through with that man. Having to deal with all the negative comments from his family just for him to go and prove them right.âÂ
Milan sank to her knees so she was eye level with Kenya. âNone of this is on you. Itâs all on him. Heâs the one who fucked up, heâs the one who never checked his weird ass family.âÂ
Kenya smiled at her friend, grateful to have someone like her in her life. She let Milan wrap her in a hug. âDid you get it?â Kenya mumbled into her friend's hoodie.Â
Milan nodded and pulled away. She grabbed her bag, pulled out a white store bag, and handed it to Kenya. âYou sure you ready?âÂ
Kenya nodded, staring down at the plastic bag in her hands. âI gotta know Mia.âÂ
Milan nodded and watched as her friend stood and walked into the bathroom.Â
Inside the bathroom, Kenya stared at herself in the mirror. Her eyes dropped down to the test on the counter and before she could second guess herself, she picked it up. She read the instructions hastily before walking over to the toilet.Â
After she was done she walked back over to the sink, washed her hands and waited for the results. She set her timer for five minutes as she paced and forth in the bathroom, her heart hammering in her chest. Her phone ringing broke her out of her thoughts, she pulled her phone out and hit stop. She took a deep breath before walking over to the counter to look at the results, her stomach dropping as those two pink lines stared back up at her.
Milan looked up as Kenya walked out of the bathroom pregnancy test in her hand and tears streaming down her cheeks.Â
âIâm pregnant.â Kenya whispered, bottom lip wobbling as she collapsed on the couch.Â
âWhat are you going to?â Milan asked.Â
Kenya shrugged, knowing her decision would change everything she thought she had been moving toward. She looked down at the test in her hand. âI donât know.â

Oh nah! Kofi and Xavier?! JC and Tonga Loa wasnât all that surprisingâŚ. But the NEW DAY?! I mean yeah their story lines been non-existent since that abysmal heel turn. But damn.
That company doesnât know how to split brands proportionately. They just sliding Street Profits to RAW like we ainât gonna notice?. Unless yâall combining them titles, what tag teams left on SmackDown other than The MFTs and Damian and Truth? Those two rosters are stacked in one division and lacking in another.
Just wanted to let you guys know that there are two pages on this app that like to troll and make very degrading stories about black readers! @/suckmuballs and @/whotookmynameareuserious these are two little white girls pretending to be black, who are MINORS.
For starters, im a black girl myself in case you guys didnât know that. I find this very disrespectful and this is not my first time encountering something like this on an app built around community. So if you support me and follow me and you happen to find their accounts âfunnyâ???? Please feel free to block me or message me to have yourself removed.
I donât play that weirdo and disrespectful shit, itâs not cool and I donât fuck with it. Itâs 2026 and weâre still making trolling pages and lying out our age AND race to tear down another just because black girls and boys come on here and have to request for things to be inclusive. These are minors. Report them, do whatever. PLEASE SPREAD AWARENESS & REPOSTâźď¸âźď¸
I havenât seen any big accounts spreading awareness on this topic so please. Thank you guys, thatâs all.

Now why are people bashing Nattie? That lady promoting her brandâŚand if people followed her, theyâd know sheâs covered her face every time sheâs been there (by herself). It wasnât JUST for this picture.
What people need to be mad at is WWE not leaning into this character change for Nattie and showing support of it. Nattie has done a lot for the companyâŚincluding giving a lot of main roster wrestlers the space and knowledge to train when they not being used properly on tv either. She deserves her flowers. And yet she getting called everything but a child of God by the IWC for a picture Iâm sure Jey knew she was going to post.

Monday MorningÂ
Dejah was surprised when she stepped out of her house and saw Josh standing at the bottom of her driveway, a backpack slung over one shoulder and a coffee cup in hand.
His grin widened when he saw her. He waited until she reached the bottom of the driveway and gently took her book bag from her and handed her the coffee cup.Â
âGood morning,â he said. He hesitated before leaning in and placing a quick kiss on her cheek.
Dejahâs stomach did a slow flip, and for a second, she forgot how to breathe.
Josh's eyes widened. âShit, Iâm sorry. That was -â
Dejah shook her head, snapping out of her stupor. âYouâre fine,â she said softly, clutching the coffee cup tighter.Â
Josh rubbed the back of his neck, a small, nervous smile tugging at his lips. âItâs hot chocolate.âÂ
âHuh?â She replied, her mind still stuck on the kiss.Â
âThe cup.â He laughed. âI remember you sayinâ you donât like coffee,â She smiled at him, and in that moment, Josh felt like the luckiest 17-year-old in the entire world.Â
They stood there for a moment, staring at each other with goofy smiles on their faces.Â
Both teenagers jumped as a car horn blared, breaking them out of their staring contest.Â
âYâall just gonâ stand there or get yâall asses in the car?!âÂ
Josh groaned and flipped his brother off. âWe coming! Chill out.â
Dejah giggled at the scowl on Joshâs face and took his outstretched hand. She had a smile on her face as Josh led her to the car. She thanked him as he opened the door for her. Josh closed the door gently behind her before jogging around the front of the car. Dejah watched him through the windshield, her fingers wrapped around the warm cup as she tried and failed to calm her heartbeat.
âYou two lovebirds ready?â Jon asked as Josh got settled into the front seat. Dejah laughed softly and shook her head as Josh punched his twin in the shoulder and ordered him to drive.Â
Dejah tried to ignore the stares all morning. She was used to the stares, but something was different today. People were looking at her like they knew one of her deepest secrets. She jumped when Myra slammed her lunch tray down on the table.
âI swear Iâm about to beg my mom to homeschool me.â She said with a scowl as she stabbed her mashed potatoes. When Dejah didnât reply, Myra turned to look at her and noticed how her eyes kept shifting over the cafeteria. âDonât worry,â Myra smirked and nugged her best friend. âLover Boy will be here soon.âÂ
That finally got a reaction out of Dejah. She rolled her eyes. âShut up.â She muttered, reaching for her juice. âIâm not looking for him.âÂ
âOhhh! So you finally admit heâs lover boy!âÂ
Dejah choked on her juice. âMyra!â She said as she coughed and reached for a napkin. âThatâs not what I said,â she shot back, her voice low as she wiped her mouth.
Myra rolled her eyes. âYeah, okay. You got that boy wrapped around your finger.âÂ
âI do not!â Dejah scoffed.Â
Just as she said that, a group of girls in their grade walked past their table. One of the girls, Keisha â someone Dejah never had a problem withâ leaned closer to her, leaned in close to another girl, and whispered something behind her hand. The other girl glanced over at Dejah. Then both of them started laughing.
Dejah immediately felt a chill run over her. She knew she wasnât crazy. People were talking about her. Her fingers tightened around her juice cup as the laughter echoed in her ears, and she felt the weight of every pair of eyes in the cafeteria on her back.
âIgnore them,â Myra said as she placed a hand on her friendâs back, rubbing softly. âDonât let them get into your head.âÂ
âIâm trying,â Dejah muttered under her breath, her stomach twisting. â Why is this happening now?!âÂ
â'Cause these high school bitches love drama. Donât give them a lick of satisfaction."
Dejah was trying. She had spent the last year and a half trying to put sophomore year behind her. She went from the bubbly, bright cheerleader to the girl who sat in the back of the class, the girl who tried to keep her head down, to keep quiet, to not be noticed.Â
Dejah barely had time to calm her rapid beating heart before she spotted Josh. He was weaving through the tables, backpack slung casually over one shoulder, scanning the cafeteria until his eyes landed on her. Her heart jumped, a mix of relief and nerves twisting in her chest.
Joshâs smile was wide as he neared the table. âHey,â He said to her as he shot Myra a quick smile before turning his attention back to Dejah. The two teenagers locked eyes for a second, and everything else seemed to fade into the background.
âHey,â Dejah replied softly, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear as she tried to ignore the nervous flutter in her chest.
Myra snorted and rolled her eyes. âJust kiss already.âÂ
âMyra!â Dejah hissed and kicked her under the table again.
Josh let out a quiet laugh, shaking his head as he dropped into the seat across from Dejah. âDamn,â he muttered, glancing at Myra, âYou donât waste no time, huh?â
âSomebody's gotta move this along,â Myra shrugged, completely unbothered as she took a bite of her food.Â
Dejah groaned softly, dragging a hand down her face. âPlease ignore her,â she said, peeking back up at Josh.
âI dunno,â Josh said, his eyes still on Dejah, a small grin tugging at his lips. âShe might be onto something.â
âOh, my god.â Dejah groaned again. âSo annoying.â She muttered, but the slight smile on her lips let Josh know she was just joking.Â
âIâm not gonâ bother you for too long,â Josh said after a moment of silence. âI was just wondering if you were busy on Friday.âÂ
Dejah blinked, a little caught off guard. âFriday?â she repeated, her brows pulling together slightly.
Josh nodded, trying to play it cool, but there was a hint of nerves in the way he scratched the back of his neck. âYeah⌠Friday.â
âI uh- we - â She said, motioning between herself and Myra. âNormally do movie night on Fridays-âÂ
âGirl!â Myra cut her off. âItâs okay to skip a movie!â She rolled her eyes. âWhatever it is, sheâs in.âÂ
Josh let out a small laugh, shaking his head. âNo pressure or anything.â He said jokingly. âFootball team is throwing a party.â âNothing crazy.â He added in after seeing Dejahâs eyes widen. âJust to celebrate us making it to the state finals.âÂ
âOhâŚâ Dejah trailed off. She wasnât a party virgin persaym itâs just that the last party she had been to involving someone from this school had ended in her âÂ
âYeah, I was just wondering if you wanted to go with me,â Josh spoke up again, breaking Dejah out of her thoughts and giving her a hopeful smile. âMyra can come too, oh, and your cousin from the mall. You can bring anybody you want, I just⌠want you there.â He trailed off, and Dejah felt those butterflies kickstart back up.Â
She glanced over at Myra, who gave her a slight nod of encouragement. She swallowed, took a deep breath, and finally met Joshâs hopeful gaze again. âOkay,â She breathed. âWeâll be there.âÂ
Joshâs grin widened, and a spark of relief flashed across his face. âReally?â
âReally,â she confirmed, biting her bottom lip.
âIâll text you the deets.â He said just as the bell rang, signaling lunch was over. âMake sure you have minutes on your phone.âÂ
Dejah rolled her eyes as she stood from the table and grabbed her barely eaten lunch tray. âShut it. It was one time.âÂ
âYeah, but I couldnât talk to you,â Josh whined, dramatically.Â
Dejah smirked despite herself, shaking her head as she walked toward the trash. âYouâre ridiculous.â
âAnd thatâs what you like about me, right?â He said, just as his brother called his name from the front of the cafeteria. Josh flagged him off.Â
âYou can flirt another time. Coach said we canât be late!â Jon yelled again, drawing the attention of some straggling students.Â
âShit.. Iâll catch you later?âÂ
Dejah nodded, and Josh hesitated, his shoulders tensing as if he wanted to go in for a hug but wasnât sure if he should. Finally, he settled on a shy, awkward smile and waved before jogging to catch up with his twin, who was already out the door.
âYeah, girl⌠yâall got it bad.â Myra laughed, looping her arm with Dejahâs as they walked out of the cafeteria.Â
Friday Evening
Friday came too quickly for Dejah. She had spent the whole day with her stomach in knots, unable to give her full 100 in her classes. Every time the clock ticked, her mind wandered to Josh and the party. What it would be like, what she would say, and if sheâd be able to act normally around him.
By the time she got home, the nerves hadnât settled. If anything, they had gotten worse. Â
âGirl! Come on! We gonna be late!â Myra called out.
Dejah ignored her as she continued to stare at herself in the mirror. Her reflection stared right back. Hair done, outfit picked out, lip gloss shining just enough. She looked⌠good. She knew she did. So why didnât it feel like enough?
Her fingers lightly tugged at the hem of her top before smoothing it down again. Then her hands moved to her hair, adjusting a piece that didnât need fixing.
âYouâre doing too much,â Myra said, appearing in the doorway, leaning against the frame.
Dejah didnât look at her. âI look okay?â
Myra let out a small laugh. âGirl, if you ask me that one more timeââ She pushed off the door and walked in, stopping behind Dejah. âYou donât look okay. You look good. If he donât like it, thatâs his problem, not yours.â
Dejahâs lips twitched just a little, but her eyes stayed fixed on her reflection.
Myra tilted her head, watching her through the mirror. âMatter fact⌠if he donât like what he sees, I know for a fact Trin got some new and better nigga on speedial for you.âÂ
That earned a real reaction. Dejah turned her head, giving Myra a look. âYou so stupid.â
Myra grinned, unbothered. âIâm serious. Donât be actinâ like you gotta impress him. He the one who asked you.â
Dejahâs expression softened slightly at that, her gaze drifting back to the mirror. She gave herself one more once-over before nodding her head. âOkay, Iâm ready.âÂ
Myraâs grin widened. âFinally.â She pushed off the dresser and grabbed her bag. ââBout time.â
Dejah rolled her eyes, but she couldnât stop the small smile that crept onto her face. She reached for her purse and took one last glance at herself in the mirror before turning away.
âLetâs go before you start overthinking again,â Myra added, already heading for the door.
They made their way downstairs, the house quiet except for the faint sound of the TV in the background. âYou girls be safe,â Dejahâs mom called from the living room.
âWe will!â Dejah and Myra answered almost in sync.
When they stepped outside, Trinity was already leaning against the hood of the car, arms crossed and looking them over like sheâd been waiting forever.
âTook yâall long enough,â she said, pushing herself up. Her eyes landed on Dejah, and a slow smile spread across her face. âOkay⌠I see you. I knew that top would look good on you.â
âYeah, YeahâŚâ Dejah trailed off, still smiling as she got into the passenger seat.Â
Myra slid into the back, shutting the door behind her. âShe been stressinâ for the past hour,â she added, buckling her seatbelt.
âI have not,â Dejah shot back, glancing over her shoulder.
Trinity smirked as she got in the driverâs seat. âMmhm.â She started the car, the engine humming to life. âYou look good though, Josh ainât gon know what hit him.âÂ
Dejah rolled her eyes, but those butterflies started up again. What if all this was really a trap? What if Josh was like â. Dejah closed her eyes and shook her head. The rest of the car ride, she stared out the window, watching the streetlights blur past as Trinity and Myra chattered behind her. Every laugh and word from them barely registered; her mind kept circling back to Josh, to the party, to the way her stomach flipped at the thought of seeing him. She wanted to focus, to participate, to joke along like she always did, but instead, her fingers tapped nervously against her thigh, her heart ticking in sync with every passing streetlamp. Just breathe, she told herself. Just⌠breathe.Â
Dejahâs heart dropped into her stomach as they pulled up to the house. Teens were scattered across the lawn, some leaning against the porch railing, others milling around in small groups.Â
âYou ready?â Trinity asked, her full attention on her cousin, who looked like she was about to vomit all over her new car.Â
Dejah nodded. She opened the passenger door and exited the vehicle. She waited until Myra and Trinity were next to her before the trio started to walk into the house. She walked into the house and immediately made eye contact with Josh. That familiar spark hit her chest like a jolt of electricity.Â
He was leaning casually against the wall, one hand tucked in his pocket, the other holding a red cup, his grin effortless but teasing. Dejahâs stomach did that slow, twisting flip sheâd felt every time she saw him. Myra and Trinity were still flanking her sides as she neared Josh, but she felt a strange sense of isolation, like it was just her and Josh in the crowded room. The chatter and laughter of the party faded into background noise as she focused on him, measuring her words, her movements.Â
Joshâs eyes lit up when he noticed her. He quickly set his cup down on the counter and walked towards her.Â
Damn. He wanted to say as his eyes swept over her outfit. Instead, he went with âThere you are, thought you flaked on me.âÂ
Dejah bit her lip as she tried to keep the smile off her face. âWasnât gonna flake.â She muttered and playfully rolled her eyes.Â
Josh grinned. âYou uh? Want a drink or something?â He asked. Dejah glanced at her cousin and best friend, who were already walking away to give the two some privacy.Â
Dejah nodded, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. âSure⌠whatever youâre having,â she said, trying to sound casual while her stomach did little flips.
Josh hesitated, then shrugged and smiled. Without thinking, he reached out and laced his fingers through hers. Dejahâs eyes widened for a second, heat creeping up her neck, but she didnât pull away. Instead, she squeezed back, her heart hammering.
âYou good?â he asked softly, still holding her hand.
âYeah,â she said, her voice barely above a whisper. âIâm good.â Josh nodded and led her toward the makeshift snack table, unaware of the eyes that were following the couple.Â
Kaylaâs eyes zeroed in on Dejahâs and Joshâs clasped hands. Her jaw tightened slightly, tongue pressing against the inside of her cheek as she watched them move through the crowd as if they belonged to each other.
âGirl⌠you see this?â one of her friends muttered beside her, leaning in.
Kayla let out a short, humorless laugh. âI see it.â
âHe still tryna make you jealous?âÂ
Kayla sucked her teeth softly, shifting her weight onto one hip. âPlease,â she said, smoothing a hand over her hair. âJealous of that?â Her lip curled just slightly as her eyes dragged over Dejah again, slow and deliberate. âSheâs not even his type.âÂ
â I donât knowâŚâ Her friend trailed off. âHe looks kinda into her.âÂ
Kaylaâs gaze snapped back to Josh just in time to catch him leaning down, saying something low that made Dejah smile.Â
Kaylaâs expression hardened for half a second. Then she huffed out a quiet laugh, shaking her head as if sheâd just heard something funny. âLike you said, tryna make me jealous.â But she didnât look away, didnât blink. Her eyes stayed locked on them, on the way he stood too close, on the way Dejah leaned in like she was starting to get comfortable at his side.Â
She watched as Josh pointed Dejah in a direction that was off to the side of the house, most likely the bathroom. And that's when Kayla decided to strike. She watched as Dejah nodded at something Josh had said and slipped through the crowd. Kaylaâs gaze followed her until she was no longer visible. Then her eyes flickered to Josh, who was now alone. Her tongue pressed against the inside of her cheek again, a slow smirk pulling at her lips as she straightened up.
âBe right back.â She said to her friend, who just gave her a smirk in return.Â
Kayla weaved through the crowd with a purpose, her eyes locked on Josh. She reached him just as he turned to grab another cup from the table.
âHey,â she said softly, stepping close enough that he had to tilt his head to meet her gaze.Â
Josh sucked his teeth, shifting backward slightly. âKayla, whatchuâ want man?â His tone was firm, but his body language screamed uneasy.Â
âHi,â Josh rushed out, his eyes darting over to where Dejah had disappeared.
Kaylaâs smirk only deepened, almost triumphant. âCome on, Josh⌠donât act like we didnât have something good.â Her fingers brushed against his arm lightly, deliberately.
Josh flinched but kept his composure. âKayla⌠we done. You know that.â He said.Â
âMmhm,â She said. âWeâll see.âÂ
Dejah emerged from the bathroom, smoothing the front of her top, her mind still replaying every detail of Joshâs smile earlier. The laughter and chatter of the party hit her again, and she squinted, trying to find him in the crowd.
Then she froze.
She didnât even know Kayla would be at the party, even though she should have expected it. But what she didnât expect was what happened next.Â
Dejahâs feet were rooted to the floor as she watched Kayla lean into Josh. Her heels gave her the perfect height to meet him halfway, tilting up slightly as her lips pressed against his. Josh froze for a split second, caught off guard, but didnât pull away immediately. Dejahâs stomach lurched, every nerve in her body on fire as she watched. Kaylaâs hand rested lightly on Joshâs shoulder, pressing just enough to hold his attention.
The kiss lingered longer than Dejah thought possible, Kaylaâs lips moving with a familiarity that made her chest tighten painfully. Joshâs hand twitched at his side, then awkwardly moved to her arm, trying to gently push her away, but Kayla leaned closer, undeterred.
Dejahâs heart pounded so loud it felt like it could crack her ribs. Her hands balled into fists at her sides, nails digging into her palms, as she tried to comprehend what she was seeing.Â
Josh was finally able to get Kayla off of him. He pushed her away and took a step back. Josh looked like he was about to yell at her, maybe, but then his eyes met Dejahâs from across the room, and his whole world tilted.Â
