My thanksgiving was spent in the Himalayas under deep blue skies, watching wisps of clouds pull off the icy peaks as we drank masala tea and ate plates of dal bhat. We joked and spoke earnestly, but sometimes we would slowly grow silent, listening to the distant rumble of snowfalls and the absolute, pristine silence of the mountains around us. I hope each and everyone’s Thursday was as good as mine.

An impromptu flamenco show full of energy, swirling colors and enticing beats glittered against the backdrop of the palace. As the sky changed from golds and pinks to deep blues, I sat on the edge of the mirador, feet dangling off into space. What a beautiful world.
