Robert shrugs. “I would’ve come sooner, but the coma and I had a disagreement. So you know.”
“…Fuck, okay. That’s better than what I usually get.”
Robert snorts. “Bare minimum wins again.” But he does soften. “Thanks. For taking care of him. Even if you do give off major ‘ cartoon villain with a soft side and making it everyone’s problem’ vibes.”
“Fuck off,” he huffs, but it does sound suspiciously like a laugh. “…Good thing you came after him, thought. He kept crying after you everyday. “
“…Is that a tear in your eye?”
“My tears have muscles. They’re just working out.”
As it turns out, Chad, Mr ‘I took care of your dog for months without knowing if you’ll actually come back’ is also Flambae.
And Flambae is very adamant Robert does not tell anyone about Beef’s visitation nights.

Imagine Robert takes Beef out for a walk while on his lunch break and spots someone setting up a hot dog/elote cart not too far from the office. He decides it might be nice to have something a little more substantial than the cup ramen he originally brought for himself, so he drops Beef off and returns to the cart to grab a bite before his break ends.
Suddenly the cart and its patrons get caught in the crossfire as a hero apprehends a villain-- a villain Robert recognizes all too well. This particular villain produces these nasty little airborne spores that increases a victim's libido and internal temperature to an absurd degree. Temperature level is directly related to the severity of the libido; if the victim is unable to satisfy their body's demand, they run the risk of overheating. To further complicate matters, if a victim makes skin-on-skin contact with someone else, their libido cannot be mitigated by anyone other than the ones who have touched them.
Thankfully, (as Robert learned the hard way in his early 20s before he upgraded the air filtration in the suit) the effects will naturally dissipate over time with some self-care. Also the effect doesn't seem to spread to those who have touched the victims.
As the hero on the scene wraps things up, Robert asks the cart vendor for their box of rubber gloves and carefully distributes them to other victims. Along the way he explains the situation, answering awkward questions about the sex pollen to the best of his ability, and the hero commends him for his help. But Robert shrugs it off-- he's just glad the hero nabbed the villain before it could get any worse.
Once back at the office, Robert decides to finish out his shift. He can already anticipate what the side effects will be, so he's pretty sure he'll be able to power through them. Just in case, Robert dons a facemask. Combined with his rising fever and the gloves, he can sell the idea that he's caught some bug-- thus reducing the risk of making an already uncomfortable situation even worse by avoiding physical contact with the folks at SDN. There's no need to go to HR about this, as he's more than halfway through his shift and they'd likely just force him into Medical or to go home (and his father didn't raise a quitter.)
Besides, it's Friday, so he'll have plenty of time to tend to his situation later tonight and through the weekend...
... At least, that had been the plan, up until some catastrophe kept him and Z-Team into overtime. Robert had intended to be home 2 hours ago, but now he was starting to really feel the effects of the spores. He had already hurriedly jerked off in the bathroom in the time between telling everyone they did well and the moment they all started to return to the office. (He had barely made it out before Malevola and Sonar appeared in the conference room.)
He buys a can of soda from the vending machine-- he doesn't remember which one, it doesn't matter-- and sits down in the breakroom to press the chilled can to his forehead. Now all that was left was to finish his paperwork and go home, but it's a bit difficult for him to concentrate at the moment.
'Maybe I should stick my head in the freezer...?' Most folks had already gone home or were using other parts of the SDN facilities, so he could probably get away with it. For now, he focuses on breathing and willing himself to not get hard again.
So distracted by his predicament, Robert doesn't notice the moment someone else enters the breakroom... or when they call out to him, either.
He only notices when they lightly pat his cheek to get his attention, sending a jolt through his entire body.
'Oh no...'
Suddenly the same hand grabs his jaw, yanking his head up to meet its owner's amber eyes.
"Hey." says Flambae, "Didn't you hear me? I said, 'you don't look so good, bitch.' So why the fuck are you still here??"

Not gonna lie, when Kara stopped Ruthye from killing that guy, I was a little confused, mostly because Kara had definitely just killed a ton of guys literally seconds ago and now she draws the line at the guy in charge? Of course then it became clear as the scene continued on that Kara never cared about whether this guy lived or died. It was Ruthye she was trying to save. But that was true the whole movie, wasn't it? And when she stopped Ruthye from becoming a killer, only to take on the burden herself because that was the kindest thing Kara could have done in that moment? Oof. That hit hard. It was such an emotionally satisfying scene on so many levels. I loved it.
Also The Middle cover in the fight scene was awesome people are just mean or they don't see the vision. But I DO. I SEE THE VISION.
