So I was going through some of my old WIPs and found the WIP for the next chapter of The Man of His Dreams (one of my ongoing Jercy fics long overdue for an update (sorry guys)...) and changed a few stuff here and there. It's far from completion because I still have to work on my Jercy Week submissions :) Have a silly excerpt 🩵

“Put me down, Percy!” “You can get out of my hold if you want, o great son of Jupiter,” Percy pointed out. “You just don’t want to.” The scent of strawberries engulfed the air around them, permeating his nose with candy-like sweetness. And as far as his eyes could see, neat rows of strawberry bushes covered the entire expanse of the hilly area, akin to desert dunes but full of greenery instead. It was a place drawn like a home, and Percy never felt so belonged. Jason pursed his lips in thought. “It’s just a matter of being contrarian to you. Being carried around for a change is quite fun, actually.” “That’s because you’re a princess through and through.” “And you’re my one and only knight,” Jason replied with a wink.  The picnic basket resting on Jason’s tummy almost fell out of his hold as Percy bent down to maul his face with kisses.  A few minutes later, they settled themselves on the red gingham mat, Percy cross-legged while Jason stretched out on his back, his head resting on Percy’s lap. With fond fingers, he brushed Jason’s fringe back and off his forehead, noticing the way his hair had grown longer than usual. “You really adapted to your newfound role, huh.” “Well, that was assigned by our great priestess Laila,” said the Pontifex Maximus of New Rome, “and I’d sooner die by my own blade than disobey her words.” So painfully dramatic. “Stop saying that,” Percy says, keeping his tone light to conceal the turmoil within. The image of Jason’s skewered torso still haunted his nightmares despite his best efforts. “Anyways, have you thought of the continuation of the story yet?” “Oh, I didn’t know you’re following.” “I was right there next to you.” “You were so slow on your cues and kept blanking out,” Jason said, grinning. “Laila had to point that out more than once.” Gods forbid a man still traumatized by his lover almost dying.

you were born into an age of peace. i was there Gandalf. i was there three thousand years ago. i remember the cease and desists. i remember authors hunting fanfic writers for sport. i remember when every fic opened with a disclaimer because we genuinely thought it might protect us.

No links to patreon or other money-making sites or apps

I'm guessing that canonically Luke was fighting him from time to time and but he never got a real foothold in reality until Annabeth was there to snap him out of it.

But what if Kronos went full man-whore in the year leading up to Manhattan, occasionally allowing Luke brief glimpses of reality...but only during the worst most traumatizing moments.

So much so that Luke would almost voluntarily let Kronos take over again, if only to escape the horror, the shame.
